  41. I stick with the “traditional” quarter fold card. Probably alot of it is that there is no “waste” and it is a easy cut & score.
So glad I found your BLOG, so many ideas so little time

  88. It’s too hard to just pick one card type! Lately I’ve been loving 3 1/2 X 5 size cards. Cute but not too small – plus it’s easy to find envelopes that size.

  89. So hard to decide… I am still working out the kinks on the tri-fold (keep not lining up right), liked the square card, but people are always impressed by the slider… hard to choose, hard to choose…

  95. Wow Beate! Congrats on all your hits! My favorite card type is square. I don’t particularly enjoy making cards that are a fancy fold or whatever. Well, I like to make them once and then move on to something else. 🙂

I particulary like square cards. I like to make some square notecards (3×3)to give to friends as presents. They always seem to like those.

    Jenny

  99. I mostly make the regular quarter-fold cards, but I love the look of the tall cards I’ve seen on several sites lately (the ones that fit in SU’s large envys or in a regular letter envy).

  100. WOW! So many hits already!!

I don’t have a favourite type of card to make…. although most of mine seem to be embellished with flowers or brads or ribbon these days.

  101. Congratulations on all the hits!!! At the moment my favourite type seems to be the tri-fold and the diamond folt. I am always looking for the next great fold.

    YM

  102. I don’t have a favourite type of card – although it depends on whether I’m planning to send them through the mail or not, I guess, because I usually go with standard envelope-sized if I’m mailing them.

  103. I love to make pocket cards and cards with unique folds. I plan to try Cami’s trifold this weekend.

    Love your blog!

  107. I love tri-fold cards. They look fun and complicated, but aren’t really that hard to make!

  108. OH, you always have the most fabulous blog candy. My favorite type of cards are the traditional size, except cutting the paper lengthwise and folding so it opens like a little book. Love your inspiring blog!

  109. My oh my, Beate- your blog is just hoppin’!
At this rate you are going to go broke giving away all that blog candy-LOL! ;0)
I love square cards- just something about them. Another one that is quickly bwcoming a fave is the simplified tri-fold Julia Stainton showed on her blog a while ago.
    Hope you’re having a good weekend! :0D
    Anette(snowmom13)

  110. Hmmmm, no I don’t think I have a favorite, except just a regular size. Not very creative is it? LOL! Unusual size cards scare me! In fact, I’ve done my first square card within the last month! I have recently tried a square tri-fold card and LOVED it! (Gave it to DH for his birthday!)

Congrats on the 125K hits! How awesome! Thanks for the blog candy, you ROCK Beate!

  113. Wow, Beate!!! You sure are a popular gal!!! I’d have to say that my favorite card is a portrait A-2 card with the fold at the top! A fun twist on a classic! 😉

  114. Wow! Congrats on 125,000 and thanks for the great blog candy!

I like the idea of unique cards and different shapes, but I never seem to have an envelope ready to send the card off in. So I seem to do the traditional cards.

    It’s a good life!
    Terri E.

  115. I love the traditional 4.25 x 5.5 size card, but am very intrigued by the unique fold cards and have done a few of them. Your blog is awesome and so very inspiring!

  124. Thanks for the blog candy. My favorite fold is the tri fold. What is the joy fold? I have not heard of it. Love the blog.

  125. congrats! not surprised by the number of hits, you’re a rock star! i like the square card, for some reason it aesthetically pleases me….2nd would be a trifold (cami’s are fab!)…i also love the tall, thin a10 size.

  126. It seems like I’ve been making more and more 5 1/2″ square cards lately, but my preferred is standard size folded from the top, so I can easily tie ribbon around the top or the bottom.

  127. Beate,
Congratulations on all the hits. Your blog is amazing as will as the wonderful tutorials you post on SCS. Thanks for all your time and effort.

I guess I’m old fashioned. My favorite type of card is still the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 format. I’ve experimented with some of the folded formats, for example the diagonal tri-fold and the tea or goodie pouch tri-fold and enjoy these for special occasions.

  128. I seem to make the standard card size out of habit, but I do like the square cards. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I always look forward to see your artwork, helpful tips and tutorials.

  129. Can I say your cards are my favorite kind of cards *wink*?? LOL I would have to say any sort of fun fold card that still ends up being A-2 in size. That way you have the fun and don’t have to buy special envelopes. Congrats on your blog…it is wonderful!

  131. Hi Beate,

Love your blog.. you’ve got so much to share!

I love the look of square cards but never make them because I never have square envelopes, so I’d have to say my favorite would be interesting folded cards, any kind…

    Congrats on a successful blog!

    -Ginna

  132. 125,000 -wow- congratulations. I love your blog – check it everyday.
I am loving the triangle trifold cards right now and thank you for your tutorial on them. In fact I finally took the plunge and started a gallery and even though it is very small it contains a triangle trifold and will soon have another.

  133. Hey Beate, I’m glad you seem to be over your migraine. Those are the worst!

My favorite card type??? Hmmm… I love square cards, but I also enjoy the waterfall cards or anything with cool folds.

  139. I really like the small 3 x 6 size cards they showed at convention last year! I’ve been doing those more and more for something a little different!

    Love your blog!
    Connie

  140. Standard, quarter page cards are, of course, the easiest for me from a cutting and paper scrap perspective… But there’s nothing like changing the orientation (so it opens along the short rather than the long end) for a little variety… Square cards and business letter size are also too cool… And unique folds… Too hard to choose! 🙂

Congrats on such a popular blog! And THANKS!

  141. Hello, I LOVE the tri-fold card. Once I saw the tutorial on Splitcoast and tried it, I am in heaven, so quick and easy to make and absolutley cute 🙂

    Tanya

  142. I like cards with unique folds as well, but for everyday card making I tend to stick to the usual A2 size.

  143. Hello Beate,
I like the little tall slender cards – and they fit into a standard short envelope!
    Love your blog!
    Sandy Kay

  144. I would have to say that the trifold card is my favourite. I do also love the mini 3 x 3 cards as you can use them for any occasion!

  145. I’m addicted to Cami’s tri-fold card. I’ve modified it so that it ends up being an A2 sized card. I think I’ve made about 40 of them in the last couple of weeks for swaps and everybody thinks they’re so clever. Thanks for all the great ideas and tutorials on your blog and SCS!

    smallcity

  152. Hmm… I like square a lot. 🙂

  154. Congrats! Very nice blog with loads of ideas. Thanks for sharing!

  155. Beate, you are too sweet! I really love square cards. I don’t make them as much as I would like to though. Love your blog!

  157. Your site is so inspirational! Just love all the new ideas and tutorials you put together! I really like the long card size and the square cards. Just hard for me to find envelopes for the square ones.

  159. Congratulations! What a great blog and talent! My personal favorite would be square cards. I do like fancy folds but I personally have trouble having them turn out nice.

    Diane

  160. My favorite is the square card. Congrats on the 125,000 hits!

I would have to say that my favorite card at the present is the pocket card….but, then, I do love the square card too!!!

  163. I haven’t gotten into too many fancy folds yet, but I do like square cards alot! Wow! 160 comments already. That is amazing! Good for you!

  164. Beate, I just joined the SU demonstrator family and have been a SU and SCS fan for a while now. Your enthusiasm, creativity and hard work inspire me. I, too, am an Air Force wife and I love travelling around the world meeting wonderful friends. I look forward to helping women all over the place. We are currently in Korea until Jan. 2008 and I can’t wait to introduce all the gals at my base here to SU. Thanks for the contest – I actually love mini square cards, fun and quick to make and they are the perfect size to tuck into hubby’s bag before he heads out TDY.

  165. I’m a fan of any type of card, but I like slider cards. Love your blog!

  166. I just made a pocket card for the first time and I loved it! I like trying different sizes although it takes me a while to figure out the measurements.

  167. I love the square card. Are you really suprised at how much your blog hits has risen – your postings are inspirational.

  168. My favorite cards are ones cut 4 1/4 and 5 1/2, but don’t open on the side, but bottom to top. So are those considered square cards. I always have the right sizes envelopes for those. Great blog, by the way!!!

  169. You are always cranking out such great creative works of art. I especially like pocket cards and second would be perfectly square cards. YOU ROCK!

  170. you are such an inspiration to me! your work is so amazing, i hope that one day i will be 1/2 as good. my favorite cards are ones that have an element of surprise, of movement. so i guess sliders, viewmaster cards , or ones that have a saying that slides out from behind. obviously i don’t know the formal name for those… anyhow thanks for the inspiration to get better and create more. take care!

  171. Square cards are my favs too! Wonderful giveway!!

  172. My favorite is the square card! So cute!

  173. Right now I am also loving square cards – just sent out several for my monthly card swap with friends, and even paid the extra postage!!! They are so much fun. And I’m still loving your blog – everything about it!!

  174. Love square cards. But I have not had time to find a website were I can buy these at a decent price. Only make a few of these cards as I make my own envies.

  175. So, does this count as two entries since I gmailed you when I couldn’t get to your blog before???

  176. ilove Square cards…and anything a bit ‘different’

  177. I like cards with lots of layers-I just finished one with 7 not including the image. And I added eyelets too. Stamping away stress at 4AM. I dont like square ones as the postage is too much. As long as I dont mail them, they are fine.

  178. “Oh pick me pick me”, she says jumping up and down! I have been making tons of square cards recently! I am not even sure why, maybe it is all that extra space for creation! Trifolds are my next fav but I reserve those for real SPECIAL cards for people like you Beate *wink*
    Alli

  179. WOW…so many hits & it’s no wonder. Your blog is terrific. I’m into the good old square cards. Variety is fun occasionally though.

    Joanna from Australia.

  183. My favorite is the standard size but I like the top fold equally as well as the side fold. Great blog candy – hope I win!

  184. I like the look of square cards….but I’m too cheap to make anything but the traditional sized cards (have tons of that sized envelopes).

  185. Congrats on 125000!! I usually stick with traditional sized cards, altough I make a few long/tall cards from time to time.

  186. I love pocket cards bc they are so much fun ….you can include anything in the pocket..a greeting, a bookmark, a photo. Love your blog beate!

I have to say my favorites have become the square cards as well. Just somthing about them make them stand out to me. I also have enjoyed making the trifold cards although I still have a problem with the darn measurements…one of these days I’ll get them!

    Kim

  194. Right now I love the trifold card where you use the slit punch to hold the card closed! Congratulations on so many hits! Your site is an absolute inspiration for creativity and challenges. Please keep creating your tutorials – we love them!

  195. Mine is really boring, but I’m always drawn back to the traditional tall tent card. Great candy!

  196. Wow, congratulations, i have only just started card making and with limited supplies can only dream of making cards half as nice as what I see on these wonderful bloggs but without this terrific inspiration i dont think i would know where to even start. I have just made my first tri-fold card and love them. Have a great day. Andrea

  200. Fresh and Fun Freebies……what a great name!!! My fave card right now has got to be the long cards. It used up more cardstock and paper, but heck, it’s not like I’m short on it!! Bwahahahaaaa!

  201. I like the 4 X 5 1/2 although I like to change that card up alot. Trim here, slit punch there….makes it’s more interesting. Congrats!!!! Thanks for sharing with all of us.

  202. Congratulations Beate! It’s amazing how fast the numbers have climbed for you but not surprising as you have such a talent that we all want to see what you come up with next!
    Ilene

  203. I’m very into square cards these days… but I’m sure I’ll be very into something else soon… isn’t that always the way! Love your blog!

  204. Beate,
Love your website and your cards. I would have to say I like the slider cards. They are a little tedious but you always get a: “WOW, did you really make that?” That makes it worth the time and effort.
Thanks for all your great posts!

  205. I too love the square cards. . .but wish it wasn’t so hard to find envelopes for them. Or that it takes more postage to mail them. But Love the look of them!!
    Congrats!!

  206. I LOVE movable/interactive cards!

  207. HI Beate, I love the square cards the most. I go back and forth between the 3″ and 4″ squares, but they are my very favorite to make and to get! Wow, 125,000 hits. Congratulations! Awesome job and one awesome blog! Thanks!!!!

  208. Hope you had a great birthday!!!!! =)
My favorite type is probobly some sort of square, such as a 3×3 or 5×5! They are just easy and fun to work with!! Congrats on all the hits!! Love your blog!
    -Lauren

  209. I love all the cards you make, congratulations on your number of hits but I would expect nothing less with your talent. I guess my favorite cards are the slider cards. Great blog candy and keep up the good work

  211. Heh Beate:
Nice to hear that you are on the road to recovery…AS for my favorite type of card…I am going to go with the trifold..or the pocket card. I like things with WOW factor. The trifold cards offer that for sure! When I made all those thank you cards..EVERYONE loved them! Freebies!!@ pick me pick me..random number selector!
    xoxo
    ronee

  212. ooowhh! It stinks to have headache like that. Thank you, thank you for sharing all you cards. It is always refreshing to visit the blogs–yours and the ones you link us to! Have a great week. lorijane

  213. Congratulations Beate! I like square cards although I don’t make many of those (because of the extra postage for the square envelopes). However, recently I saw a post in someone’s blog on how to modify your rectangular envelope so that your square card isn’t “dancing” inside. I think that’s convinced me to do more square cards! Sandra

  214. I love the trifold. Great blog- keep up the good work!

  215. I think 3×3 are probably my favorite. They are easy, yet don’t have the look of the average card. Love checking your BLOG every morning. Thanks for all of the inspiration.

  216. I would have to say my favorite would be anything tiny and/or unique. For some reason anything on the tiny side just tends to be cuter. 🙂

  217. I haven’t tried the square cards yet, but you’ve inspired me — it’s time for a 3×3….or SEVERAL! 8^) Thanks for your great examples. I love how clear your photos are, tool

  218. I’m groovin’ on the SU long notes with the small open ended envelopes..I’ve tried ’em..now I love them! Great blog..thanks for all the inspiration!

  219. Square cards catch my eye for some reason.

  220. Beata:
I love square cards, although when I’m in a hurry forget to make them since the standard 4-1/4 X 5-1/2 cuts so easily. I also love making the unusual fold ones or anything that make the card a little unusual. I love the various tutorials you have written to help expand my selection. Thanks again for all your direction and inspiration.

  221. Congrats once again on your amazing blog! My favorite card size are the square ones, but I usually end up being in a hurry and going with the standard A2 size (boring but true!)
    Lois H

  222. I like cards in different shapes, such as stars and triangles, etc. Fun!

  223. WOW!! I REALLY hope I’m not too late!! Square cards would have to be my favorite!! Thanks, Cheryl

  224. I love your work! I have just recently come across your website and I check it all the time! I think my favorite card is the waterfall card, that was the card that got me hooked to card making! Thanks for all of your generosity!

  225. i love square cards… so, of course i also like the trifold, because it’s square before u open it, and then inside, there are more little squares! =)

  226. Hello there;

I must say, I really don’t have a favourite. I love them all!!!

    Heather

  227. Right now I’d have to say that I like square cards the most. They are so easy to make! But that’ll change here shortly I am sure. Congratulations on reaching 125,000 hits!!!

  228. Wow Beate, 125,000 that is amazing and well deserved, I love your trifold cards you do and I love to make them as well, thanks for such awesome inspiration

  229. Congrats!!
I don’t have alot of time to get much stamping done, so I usually stick to the traditional size…although I love the look of the square cards and the cards with unusual folds.
    Heather L.

  230. My favorite cards are square cards… I’m also liking the trifold cards, I just need to find some time to play around and make some cards. Congrats on the 125K!! That’s amazing! ~Crystal M.

  231. Beate, First of all, happy belated birthday. Best wishes for many more! I haven’t made many square cards as of yet, but do enjoy the taller cards that fit in the large open-ended envelopes.
    Congrats on 125,000 hits.

  232. 125,000 hits… WOW !! It’ll take me 20 years to get that many! LOL Congrats !!

I adore square cards most…. I just find them so much easier to work with. But I have to admit, I usually make them only to find I don’t have an envelope to match!

  233. Wow you hit 125 so quickly!

I love trifolds and traditional 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 but folded on the short end (gives more of a wow-factor!)

Love your blog – keep it up!

  234. Congrats on all the hits. I still like the traditional square cards, although I do like to change it up a bit every now and then and experiment with others.

  235. I like the look of square cards, but don’t make many. Also like the criss-cross and tri-folds, and of course pocket cards. I love ’em all! Love your blog – it’s the best!

  236. I made a beautful pocket card using the Bundles of Joy set for a friend a while back, so I would have to say pocket card is my fav!

  237. Your blog is great! Congrats on hitting 125,000. Happy Day to you!!!

  238. My fav type would be square or the size that fits the Sm Open-end envelopes – just something different than the regular sized cards. I like the special fold-type cards, but never seem to get them to look right. Congrats on the milestone hits!

  239. My favorite card is anything that moves or hides!
thanks for the chance to win.

  240. Congratulations Beate! I check your blog regularly and I’m so happy for you. I love square cards! I just like how symetrical they can be when you use them for a project.

  241. I love square cards! My wedding invitations were even square. I particularly like 5″ square cards. Seem to be the perfect size, a little more room to play than an A2 and 6″ square cards seem a little too big to fill up. I love your blog, I visit everyday. I really appreciate that you post something everyday and I LOVE your toots!

  242. Other than the standard card – my favorite type would be a bigger 4×6 card or a square card.

  243. Way to go Beate!
I especially like the square cards.
    Congratulations!
    Leslie

  244. Way to go Beate! I’m with you on the square cards, wish the envelopes for them were a little more economical.

  245. My favorite shape of card is definitely square, but being that it costs more to send with a matching envelope and the fact that I’m now a SU demonstrator and can get 2 cards out of one sheet of carstock if I use the standard size, I rarely make them. Thanks for the goodies!

  246. I love square cards – just wish they didn’t require extra postage!

  247. Congrats on the number of hits — that’s to be expected what with your talent. Thanks for sharing with us.
    Favorite card type – spinner.

  248. I love interesting folds as surprises on cards and Cami’s tri fold and your tutorial can’t be beat. Congrats Beate on an amazingly quick rise in hits! Not surprising to all us fans!

  249. congratulations on you number of hits. i love the trifold cards.

  250. Hello, Don’t know if I made it on time. I check your blog everyday but some how I didn’t see this post. OOOps!

  254. Different kind of folding cards. Congrats on your blog hits.

  255. Hope I’m not too late!!! Love your blog….

  256. I love square cards… but they can be trifolds…or other surprize types… designing for a square is just plain fun, and I found someone who showed how to tape a “normal” envelope to use as a square and avoid that extra postage… now the envelope for a square card is so much fun! Definitely the square~

  257. All of these wonderful opportunities to win Blog Candy. I haven’t had the nerve to try a blog yet. Seems like it would be very time consuming for me at this time of my life. But I especially love to read all of them and have gotten so many wonderful ideas from all of the bloggers. I love fancy fold cards. I think my favorite unsual card was a waterfall card once I mastered it.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful inspriations and creativeness

  258. I still like making the reg. size cards,3X3 note cards as well.. Just getting into the different folds now.. Thank you for hosting your blog candy.

  259. I enjoy Square cards, especially with rounded corners!

  260. My favorite card type is either square 4″x4″ or 3″x6″. Both of them are great for stampin’ stack classes or just needing to get cards out fast!

  261. I have to say any card is my favorite card!!! I love all types they are so creative & So MUCH FUN!!! But if I have to choose….I would pick a slider……….GENIOUS!

  262. I love square cards as well! I really enjoy your blog and all of your creative ideas. Thanks so much for sharing!

  263. Well, I guess I’m tooooo late! That certainly was an awesome giveaway. I can’t believe I missed a day and missed out on some blog candy, oh well, such is life. TFS.

  264. I love your blog!

My favorite sized card is a square card. It is so easy to either use a traditional evenly spaced image or an off-center one.

However, to be truthful, my favorite size is probably whatever I am working on at the time!

  265. i personally enjoy regular square card, havent done too many folding of any kind, except for a photo album box thingy i did once. well im not sure if the contest Freebie thing is over but i would like to be added to the drawing. Im new to this so please if anyone has anyt tips on how I enter the freebies or how to make my own blog site i would love that…

  266. I like the square cards but I usually do the tradional size because of the envelopes. Congratulations on all your blog hits. Peggy
