First of all I am sorry I am so quiet today! I woke up and went last minute shopping for Rebecca’s birthday party. I came home to find Rick with a bee up his you know what. Our rental here in Florida is rather small after living in a wonderful house in Texas. Our living room is the first thing you see when stepping into the house. When the air conditioning is on, it’s so loud that you can’t hear the TV. Well…Rick had had enough and wanted to switch the living room with my stamp room. Mind you it was 11 a.m. and the party was scheduled for 3 p.m.

We took everything out of my cabinets (not a good thing to let your husband see how much stuff you really have). We moved the cabinets and put them back up. We moved my tables, chairs and bookshelf. Then we moved our super heavy couch (through a window, because our freaking house’s hallway is too narrow.) and an even heavier TV.

After that was done and before the cabinets were filled again, I had to bake cupcakes. Then back to putting my stuff back into the cabinets. Somehow they seemed to have shrunk. I had a hard time getting everything back in.

Then it was time to party. We only had 3 guests, but they seemed to have been the loudest kids we ever had over. Good thing half the party was outside. Once the kids left, I had to do work for SCS. Now I am super tired and worn out. No stamping for me today!!!!

I do have something really cool to share with you though.

Jana Weaver send me some SWEET birthday greetings. If you haven’t checked out Jana’s blog out, do so. She is an amazing stamper and a wonderful person.I was totally surprised to find a package in my mail yesterday. I knew I hadn’t ordered anything…or did I? LOL

When I opened it up, I found a sweet card and a gorgeous wrapped gift in there.

  6. Oh girlfriend, have I ever been there!!! We lived in Navy housing in Monterey – me, the husband, three kids, and three dogs in our luxurious 1200 square foot box – after moving from 3000 square feet. Aaaahhh, life in the military!

  8. What a beautiful packaged gift!!!!! Gorgeous. Girl, I meant to tell you that I have a GERMAN friend here and every time she talks I think of you. I sent her to your blog and the two of you are soooooooooooo much alike. I feel like I have a piece of you here. It is so funny. I met some of her German friends and they were just talking about how much they love German chocolate. Lucky you. I am meeting with her tomorrow for a little get together and I believe she is making some German cusine. Can’t wait!!! You would just love her and of course… she stamps!!!

  10. Beate – welcome to Northwest Florida – I live in Pace (just outside of Pensacola) – sounds like you need a bigger house!! Anytime you are coming over this part of Fla – send me an e-mail and we can get together.

  11. What a day. I am tired just thinking about everything you did. Whew! Glad you are all done with that though. Now enjoy your chocolates and your new stamping space~HUGS

  12. Oh, that sounds like a day at my house! I think my husband is truly a wonderful man but guys just don’t seem to get the “big picture” in what all needs to be done. And for “them” to actually see the “stash”- scary indeed! You deserved those birthday chocolates for being such a patient good sport! I have one question- was it hard to open that beautifully wrapped gift??????

  13. Dear Beate, So glad the package arrived. Seems like Jana doesn’t have wireless in Italy, but she will be pleased with your comments – and that Mom DID get it in the mail (!!!)- when she gets back to Germany and catches up on the weekend. Getting so hot down here in Lakeland. We are getting anxious to head for Maine – where as some might know, no garrantees on temperature. Snow one day and 78 degrees the next. Oh well, we should be able to get into our cottage on the lake by the end of May!!

  14. Aaawwww, you deserve a gift like this after such a tough day! If it was me, I think the whole box would be gone! Hope Rebecca had a happy day and DH is enjoying his new spot too!

  15. Such a beautiful gift and DHs are bigger pains than the children sometimes! I hope you had a good rest!

  16. WOW, what AWESOME “stuff”! I can just imagine what it was like to open it up!!! Enjoy the chocolates and take care of you muscles, LOL!!! TFS.

  17. Ohhhh, is that man crazy? Messing with a you like that on the day of the party?!! 😀 So do you like the changes? Wonderful gift — I hope you’ve eaten it up already!

    Hugs,

  18. Men – I think they just like seeing us don our Wonder Woman capes!

Do take some time to enjoy your chocolate!

    Teresa

  19. Ditto on not letting your husband see how much stuff you have….I keep my stamping stuff in a safe place!! Those chocolates sound divine…may you have a milder week!! Love the RAK….those divas are just too neat.

  20. Wow, that sounds like quite a project! Hate it when the husband questions how much stuff you really have 🙂
