I finally got my cowboy dirty! What’s not to like about a dirty cowboy, right? 🙂

So many of your posted that the Outlaw designer paper is your favorite patterned paper. I hadn’t played that much with it yet and I thought it was high time to make a card showcasing this paper.

I love all the new BoHo West style products in the catalog.

But I had seen so many awesome projects made with it, that I was a bit intimated.

I put that aside though and made this card to show of this weekend’s (I think) easy sketch.

The card base is a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock folded in half. All three patterned paper layers are from the Outlaw Designer Paper pack.

The main image is the cowboy from Bronc Buster stamp set. I stamped him in Chocolate Chip classic ink on Vanilla Cardstock. I used the cutting tool kit to distress the edges and folded the top left corner over a bit. Then I sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel ink. Last I layered it on a 3 1/2″ piece of Chocolate chip cardstock and added a Antique Brass brad in that left top corner.

I used the Photo corner punch to punch out a corner from the rust looking background paper from Outlaw, taped it to the top right corner and added three Brass brads there.

I stamped the H from Wild West Alphabet in Creamy Caramel ink, stamped Hi there from Fundamental Phrases in chocolate chip over that and punched it out with the 1″ circle punch. I layered that on a 1 1/4″ chocolate chip circle punchout and distressed those edges as well.

I sponged twill in chocolate chip and added it over the horizontal patterned paper layer. I added two more brads on the top right. The bottom two corners of that horizontal layer were punched with the ticket corner punch.

I also used that corner punch on the bottom right of the vertical paper layer. Of course I had to use my All in a Row just a bit for this card. Without the chocolate chip faux stitching, that layer just didn’t show up to much.

I hope you will try and enjoy this sketch. I will use it for a baby card I need. Then I need to do SCS work, bring Austin to another doctor’s appointment (we think he needs his adenoids removed. He can’t breath through his nose and snores at night), go to the library, the commissary and hopefully get some chocolate chip cookies baked.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

I can’t participate this weekend due to working, school prepping, and trying to just get “caught up” with things. I also don’t have any newer sets yet…they are en route – 5 months later and I finally took advantage of my SU shopping spree.
Have a wonderful weekend to all.
