Today’s Limited Supply Challenge was a long list of what to do and not. Usually those are too restricting for me, but I have to keep my challenge streak going. Today is the 8th challenge in a row. I know it’s silly, but I am excited about that.

Here is what you could use:

1.) one or two neglegted stamp sets

2.) Old Sketch Challenge

3.) Old Color Challenge

4.) one or two embellishment, especially products that you have been hoarding

5.) Any Tools

I kinda knew right away I wanted to use the Turtle from Silly Sealife. It took me a while to settle on an older sketch. Finally I picked SC86:

Next I was looking for the color combo. It took longer then the sketch, since I was determined to use the Wintergreen Designer paper. I finally found one. You might have heard my happy shout all the way to whereever you live. I picked CC86: Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel and Sage Shadow

I started my card with a  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Creamy Caramel Cardstock.  Next followed a 3 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Always Artchoke cardstock that was topped with a 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Wintergreen Designer paper. I stamped the Faux Stitching with my All in a Row Argyle stamp. That stamp is definitely NOT neglected by me. LOL. The Chocolate Chip layer measures 2 5/8″ x 4 1/4″ and the Wintergreen designer paper that tops it 2 3/8″ x 4″.

For accents I used the medium size twill, frayed the bottom and secured it with two Jumbo Brass Eyelets.

The main image is stamped with Brown Stazon on a 1 3/4″ x 1 7/8″ Shimmery White cardstock and layered on a 1/4″ bigger  piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. Again I used the Argyle stamp for my Faux Stitching. Then I colored in the image with Creamy Caramel, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip Watercolor crayons and aqua painter. I hadn’t watercolored with them for so long, I forgot that I really like to do that!. Last I added one more layer of Creamy Caramel underneath and adhered it to the main card with dimensionals.

The saying is from the Hostess Level 1 set: So many Sayings. I had it unmounted just sitting here for a while. I knew I would never use it if I mounted it. Then I saw Charmaine to use EZ Mount with it (gasp). I never unmount SU stamps, but boy….does that ever work for this set. So I put a brave face on, pulled the rubber from the foam, added EZ mount behind it and cut it out.

I already used it on two cards now. The second one is my favorite card I made with this weekend’s sketch challenge. I will post it tomorrow!

Have a great day! Hugs and smiles

  19. love the card. That layout is great will have to try it. Also, now I wish I had ordered So Many Sayings yesterday. It is my third order with Level 1 hostess benefits and I couldn’t decide. I liked all the sayings but knew I would never use them the way they are. (Sigh) Guess I know what I’ll be getting next time I qualify for bennies. That is a great way to insure I’ll use it. I will be nervous, too, since I never unmount my stamps either. so what did you do with the wood blocks?
