build-a-flower-tin-6×6.jpg

This is the last of my Build A Flower tin pages for Convention.

I love that picture of Rebecca. It was taken on the first day we went to the beach this year. It was March and the water was COLD. Rebecca ran in anyway and screamed when she came back out. LOL

The page base is a 6″ x 6″ piece of Taken with Teal cardstock.

I adhered the 4″ x 6″ photo on a slightly wider piece of Pink Passion. Then I stamped the saying from Stem Sayings in Taken with Teal Craft ink on the photo and carefully embossed it with clear embossing powder. I tied some white narrow organdy ribbon over the saying.

The same saying was stamped on the bottom of the page, this time in Taken with Teal Classic ink. I added some flowers to the page and used one of the label sticker included in the tin to make my title. The words for that title are from the set Fundamental Phrases

  3. I love the stem embossed on the photo. Also, I know this color scheme is out of the norm for you; way to stretch yourself! It looks great.

  6. Such a cute page! I love the bright colors and how you used ribbon for the flower stem. So bright, fun, and cheerful! Great job Beate.

  8. What a cutie she is. She looks like a mini Beate in this photo. This is a nice captured memory.

  9. How sweet is this….We spent super bowl weekend at a beach house in Oregon…The water was so cold but the kids had to splash around anyway!!! they were so cute purple lips and all!!!

  10. The colors for this scrapbook page are perfect for your photo and I love the saying at the bottom of the page, so sweet!

  11. Very cute! I love the picture going all the way across the page. The stamping on the picture is a great touch! 😉

  12. I have just jumped into scapbooking and was wondering something. Do you always just do one 12×12 page? For some reason I always feel like I have to do 2 side by side so my album will make sense! Then I get all worked up and stressed at designing 2 12×12’s. How do you put them in the albums if you do one 12×12? Your pages always turn out GREAT!! Thanks for sharing

  14. I seriously got choked up looking at this page of your daughter. What a beautiful picture of her just being a kid…it’s just incredible. I call all my girls (4 of our 5 children are girls)…”My Baby Girl” all the time…so this page hit home to me. It’s gorgeous !!!!

    Have a great day

  15. This is such a great page! The expression on her face makes it look like she could jump right off the page!

  16. What a great page, love how the photo goes across the entire width of the page. I have taken inspiration from you and am also now doing Scrapbook Sunday’s, last Sunday did about 6 pages and posted one the other day. Your daughter is adorable.

  19. Oh I love this layout and it looks like Rebecca loves the water as much as you do!! It looks so crystal clear (the water) – awesome photo & layout. Now did you stamp onto the organdy ribbon? in classic? I gotta try this if thats what you did. Sending big Aussie hugs … Leonie

  20. Waow! Heat embossing on a picture? I would most definitely have burnt the picture! LOL

    Great page! ♥

  21. I just realized the error of heat-embossing on or near a picture. How did you get it to emboss without melting the layer of picture? any tips? Yours seems to have turned out perfect!

  22. Oh how I love this page…am always attracted to layouts with an eye-catching photo and especially anything to do with water. Love the colours you’ve used and the wavy stamp text…gorgeous!

  23. This is fabulous!! Another awesome layout!
