I finally got to play with my sketch. I am sorry I didn’t have a current sample on Friday! I checked today’s inspiration challengeon Splitcoast and loved the image for this week.

I picked the soft colors as well as the medallion from the rug.

I also decided to participate in Sharon’s weekend challenge. I always seem to miss out on that one.

I knew I wanted to use theBoho Background medallion for this card. I stamped the medallion six time on Natural Ivory cardstock and three times on the Sage sheet of the now retired Outlaw Designer Paper. Three of the Ivory medallion were punched out with the scallop circle punch. From the other three ivory images, I cut out the center flower. I used the 1 3/8″ circle punchto punch out the center of the sage medallions and layered everything on top of each other. It still needed something so I added another sage scallop circle underneath the ivory one and added a half pearl from the Pretties kit in each center.

The Close to Cocoa cardstock layer underneath measures 2″ x 6 1/2″.

The edges were distressed and paper pierced, the entire piece was sponged and stamped with the circle background from Boho Background.

It was layered on a 1/8″ bigger piece of Whisper White cardstock. I distressed the edges of that as well with the Cutter Kit and tied a piece of white Taffeta Ribbon around both layers. Then I layered those on a 2 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ piece of Whisper White.

My card base is a 8″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock. It was folded in half to make a 4″ x 8 1/2″ card. I sponged the card front. Next is a 3 3/4″ x 8 1/4″ piece of Natural Ivory cardstock followed by a sanded and paper pierced 2 1/2″ x 8″ piece of Outlaw Designer paper.

Three Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets were added to the left hand side. They were topped of with medium size clear Rhinestone brads from the Pretties kit.

The sentiment is from Boho backgroundas well. I inked up first just Wonderful, then just Friend with a Close to Cocoa Marker and stamped them on top of each other on Natural Ivory cardstock. I then punched that out with a small oval punch. That was layered on a 1″ sponged and paper pierced Close to Cocoa circle and a distressed 1 1/4″ sage Outlaw DP circle.

The little flower is from One of a Kind. I stamped it in Close to Cocoa on Whisper White cardstock , cut it out and mounted it with a small clear Rhinestone brad.
