I made this card for the featured Stamper challenge Sunday before last.

just-because-rocky-owl-fs59.jpg

The card base is a 5 1/2″ x  6″  of textured River Rock cardstock folded in half.

I piece of Chocolate chip cardstock was adhered to the bottom after I scalloped it with the Slit punch.

I taped a 5/8″ x 6″ piece of Groovy Guava Prints Designer Paper over it and tied Double Stitched Soft Sky Ribbon above that. I paper pierced a border over the ribbon and under the Groovy Guava Prints Designer paper and added 1/16″ holes in the center of the scallops.

The owl from Just Celebrate was stamped on a 1 3/4″ x 2″ piece of Shimmery white with Brown Palette Ink. I colored the image with Soft sky, Chocolate Chip, River Rock and Groovy Guava ink and Aqua Painter.  The cardstock was layered on a slightly bigger piece of Soft Sky cardstock and a sponged and paper pierced of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I added white highlights with my gel pen.

I stamped the sentiment of the stamp over the paper pierced row on the River Rock base with River Rock ink.
