Shanna Fudge sent me this beautiful card.

Check out more of her work on her blog Enabling everyone to Stamp.

Thank you so much, Shanna!

Personal Note:

I was deeply saddened by the mean and hurtful things posted yesterday on SCS about the tutorial posted there. Claudia offered to write the tutorial. She learned the technique from her demonstrator.

Claudia send me instructions that I completely rewrote. Jenn then rewrote them again. If the wording is the same as in the newsletter, then it is a very unfortunate coincidence.

I am NOT a technique junkie newsletter, nor have I been since starting to write the tutorials for SCS. I stopped subscribing so that I could and would not be influenced by it nor could I be accused of “stealing” their wording. That hasn’t stopped some people from doing so yesterday.

I am very hurt by this. Accusing people without knowing facts is easy to do, but not very nice. I don’t feel like stamping or sharing today.

I will spend time reading a book and later with the kids. They have early release today as tomorrow is the first day of summer vacation.

  1. I just want to say that I LOVE your tutorials…I didn’t see the mean comments on SCS (I try to stay away from those). I don’t understand why people have to be so mean. I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you!Have a good day with your kids and the sunshine!

  2. Hallo Beate, du hast eine total schöne Karte bekommen…:-)
    Hier ist es super heiß…:-)
    hab einen schönen Tag…:-)
    Liebe Grüße, Silke

  3. I, also, did not see what was posted on SCS – I have better things to do with my time than to read/post stuff like that. It does sadden me that people feel so free to cut with their words – especially towards you. Beate, thanks for ALL that you do! I thought this tutorial was great (as well as all the others). Please don’t be discouraged. Enjoy your day and sing “School’s Out For Summer!” with your kids!

  4. I am so sorry you were hurt by that meanness. It is a shame that people behave that way and it really reflects more on them than on the person they are trying to hurt.

The accusations that were made were absurd and anyone familiar with your tutorials and blog will recognize that. Your creativity, dedication and hard work come shining through in all that you do.

I love your tutorials and come by your blog every day. You continue to be an inspiration to me and countless others. Sending you loads and loads of cyber hugs to get you through this…

  5. (((HUGS))) to you darling.. I don’t know what was written but for me you have been my teacher from a far I new to stamping more or less I started last summer and tech. that I have learned have been from your awesome tutorials and I thank you for always posting such beautiful creations and making us feel like part of your family! (((HUGS))

  6. ACK! What? Someone had something mean and hurtful to say about you and your tutorial??? Get out! I didn’t see it and I don’t understand some people’s nastiness(is that a word…lol) I LOVE LOVE LOVE all you have to share and you could share the same things over and over and I’d still be in awe girl! Keep your chin up and don’t let someone get you down. You’re bigger than that 😉

Your RAK is wonderful btw 🙂

    Sending you BIG hugs today!

  7. I just want to say I love coming to your blog and checking out the tutorials you do for SCS. I avoid SCS because people are just not nice and very few appreciate the time in takes to do what you do. SCS use to be a place I enjoyed going to, now I just go to the blogs that are fun and uplifting. Thank you for sharing your life and talent!

  8. You must realize how appreciated you are for sharing your beautiful work and tutorials! No one believes those crazy and silly comments – just shake this off and enjoy your day with your book and kids. Who needs this ? Please don’t let this affect your spirit !!

  9. I just finished reading the thread on SCS, and my jaw is on the floor. I cannot believe the accusations that were spewed at you and Claudia.

Anyway, enjoy your day today. Nothing takes your mind off of bad things like spending time with your children!! It’s the last day of school here in MN too. We’re all looking forward to sleeping in!!

Please know that there are SO many of us who adore you!!!

  10. Beate, I’m so sorry that you have been caught up in this. I just don’t understand why people have to be so mean and cause so much hurt & drama. I love your blog (it’s in my reader so I see every time you post) and just want to say that you are one of the most generous and sharing people I have come across since stumbing across SCS in 2006. Please try and put this out of your mind enjoy a wonderful day in the sun

  11. I did not see what was posted on SCS and have not had a chance to check out the full tutorial this week but I just wanted to say I’m so sorry that you were hurt by what others had to say. I’m always amazed by what people are willing to accuse others of with out knowing the whole sorry. I love all the tutorials you do on both your blog and SCS. Get up the great work and enjoy you book and your kids today.

  12. Beate, I’m so sorry that you were hurt by that person’s post on SCS. That one person was hurtful, but we all think you rock!!! I think you should take a day off and pamper yourself and come back tomorrow renewed.

  13. Sending some positive energy your way -> -> -> {smile}

  14. Beate, I just wanted to thank you for all you do! And ask you to please keep it up? This mess has made me renew my fan club membership and appreciate all the “good” people on SCS.

  15. Beate,
Ignore the haters. Sending POSITIVE vibes your way!!!! I love what you do on your blog and for SCS!

    Hugs,
    Ann

  16. Beate, I’m so sorry to hear what had happened on SCS, I don’t keep up w/ the catty-ness to know what’s going on… But, regardless, I love your work, and have learned alot from you, so please keep up the good work and forget about those people’s pettiness.

  17. I didn’t see the post over at SCS either, but I am saddened to hear that you have been hurt by the mean words and accusations of others. There are a lot of people in this world that need to learn that “if you do not have anything nice to say, then do not say anything at all”.
I hope that you enjoyed your reading and some time with your family today.
    Hugs
    Jodene

  18. Hi Beate, All I know is that I learn more clearly from one of your tutorials than I ever get from an issue of TJ. You have never been anything but helpful & sweet – I can’t imagine anyone being so mean.
Big hugs to you, especially today!

  19. {{{beate}}}

i wouldn’t feel like stamping or sharing, either, after that hullabaloo. i am so sorry for the hurt that was heaped on you & claudia. neither of you deserve it.

thank you for the wonderful art you create and share. it makes the world more beautiful.

    hugs,
    marcia

  20. Hello Beate,
I too am so sorry to hear about the mean comments. You are a treasure to us and people like that do not even deserve to be talked about. Enjoy the day with the kids. Thank you for all you do in our little stamping world.
    Have a good day!

  21. Sorry to hear about the upset on SC. I think the instructions are clear and concise. Thanks for offering great tutorials and inspiration. As a matter of fact, I used your Fresh Cut Thanks card as inspiration for my son’s confirmation thank you cards. Keep up the great work!!

  22. I have not seen what happened on SCS, but my mother always said “If you are not guilty of the crime you should not feel bad about it.” Even though it seems like that is when we get hurt the most.

Just tell them you did not copy, read your book, do what you enjoy doing most and things will return to normal.

Sorry you had to go through this.

  23. Hi Beate, I am so sorry that someone is being mean to you. I love your tutorials and I get alot of my inspiration from you. Some people can be so mean and hurtful but just remember you have alot of fans out here so keep your head held high and just remember also that maybe they are just jealous of you. I love visiting your blog everyday and I mean everday. I get excited because I want to know what Beate has come up with today. Your work is beautiful and I am so happy that I found your blog. Thanks for everything.

    Tess

  24. I’m not one to normally post anything. I usually spend most of my time looking. But I feel compelled to tell you how great I think your work is. You are amazingly talented and I think we’re all very blessed at your willingness and generosity to share your talent with us. Enjoy your time with your family, that’s whats most important anyway!

  25. Beate – I don’t know you personally, but cyberly since 2003, and what I know of you is that you would NEVER do anything that wasn’t 100% pure and honest. (((Today, you have my hugs)))!

  26. )))Beate((( I’m so sorry to read that somethin’ happened on SCS. Just wanted to say that you are AWESOME and I’m praying this heartache goes away quickly! Looking forward to new fresh & fun cards!
    -Bev
P.S This calls for a Beate RAK!! 🙂

  27. Hugs to you sweet Beate! Such evil stuff going on over at SCS regarding this situation. But I for one am standing strong in the knowledge that you, Claudia, and SCS are NOT theives, and instead are wonderful, caring, generous individuals dedicated to the growth and learning of all the rest of us! My heart goes out to you, but keep in mind, you CANNOT let these people win by fading into the woodwork, do not go away long, ok? I understand the need to escape for a little while, but do not let the evil win out, ok? I’m sending you a great big hug, Beate!!!

    Amy

  28. I check your blog daily and follow your ideas to the tutorials on SCS. I missed seeing a post from you yesterday. I hope you can relax and enjoy your kids. Happy Summer!

  29. Beate, and this goes to Cluadia too…but I don’t know how to contact her. I can’t believe that people have that much time to waste being so negative. I missed you yesterday and know that I know why I’m feeling bad for you guys….BUT ignore the little people in the world…hold your head high…you have done nothing wrong…you are kind and beautiful and generous! You touch so many peoples lives with what you share! We love you! Have a great day with your kids and enjoy today!!! HUGS! Shelly

  30. Hi…. I don’t usually comment, but I agree with all the others…I look to your blog for inspiration and instructions when I’m stuck. You do a great thing! I can understand how that would hurt you, but just know that we all LOVE LOVE LOVE you!

  31. Beate,

Apparently, people had way too much time on their hands yesterday and chose to spend it engaging in mindless stupidity! Who cares if a tutorial has already been posted by someone else?! Some of us, like myself, are relatively new to SCS and don’t know all of the ins and outs and groups etc. I check everyday for the daily challenge and Wednesday’s for the tutorial. If the project peaks my interest, I try to do it, if not then I pass on it and check back next week. While I’m grateful to those such as yourself who write the tutorials, who authors a technique and when or where it’s posted on SCS, doesn’t influence my decision to participate or complete the project. The tutorial benefited those of us who are not TJ newsletter etc people (honestly, I don’t even know what that is.)
You are an incredible blogger and stamper and I am inspired by you on a daily basis. Nothing could influence me to stay away from “fresh and fun”
Please pass on to Claudia if able: “Keep your head up and don’t let anyone discourage you from sharing your passion with others”

    Hugs to you both!!

  32. Beate, I am so sorry that you were hurt. I didn’t see the comments you mentioned above, and I know you would not have changed or written anything that would have stepped on anyone’s toes (TJ’s or whomever). I hope this does not deter you from stamping/sharing/showing us terrific tutorials. I get SO much inspiration from you, and I appreciate all that you do. I am sure there are only a handful of people on SCS that would be rude like that, as I have met SO many TERRIFIC ladies there. Please don’t let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. We love you!! 🙂 Kel

  33. Oh Beate! I saw the “ugliness” over on SCS for the first time this morning and couldn’t believe my eyes!!! I’m sending big hugs your way and just wanted to let you know that I LOVE the job you do at SCS and all that you share with us! Thank you so much and also thanks to Claudia for the fabulous tutorial! Big Hugs (and enjoy the book)!

  34. I have always been in awe of your talent and how you can dedicate so much of your time to this. I guess we need to be reminded of the type of person that made these comments and that they have chosen to sit on the side lines for a long time before working up enough venom for their attack.
I love coming to your blog and seeing the work you do and hearing about your love for your family! You have so many blessings in your life, work from there!

  35. Beate,
I am sending you some very positive vibes and big hugs today. I haven’t read the comments on SCS and don’t plan too. I find your tutorials and the ideas on your blog very informative and inspirational. I don’t know you personally but I do get the feeling from you that you are a very trustworthy person with a lot of integrity who wouldn’t do anything improper. I find SCS a positive place overall and I’m saddened to hear that people are putting negative comments on there. I agree with Dori in that some people have nothing better to do with their time.
I check your blog everyday as I really enjoy your ideas. I feel like I’m getting to know you too. You kick butt girl!
Hang in their pretty lady. Hope you have a great day.
    Huge hugs – Glenda

  36. I am so sorry that you were hurt by this. You and Claudia both did not deserve the hurtful accusations that were made towards you. I don’t blame you for not wanting to share, and I hope that you know how much we all appreciate and love everything that you do for us. Big Hugs to you!!

  37. I am so sorry to hear that a fellow card maker/scrapbooker feels the need to vent their personal frustrations in such an ill spirited manner!! I am of the thought that we members of a group that is above that type of demeanor. What she should have done was contact SCS personally and voice her opinion and ask that the matter be looked into rather than venting her anger in such a public and angry way! You have my support in any of your futher ventures – whether through your blog or SCS. I sincerely appreciate everything you have taught me!! Thank you SO MUCH for being there for all of us who appreciate everything you do!!

  38. My parents taught me…”if you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all” so I won’t, except that You are d’bomb (credit given to Cambria as I was not the first one to say that)Love ya!

  39. Beate:

Heard about the crap and just came to give you a huge cyber hug…..I’m sorry both you and Claudia got lambasted…..know that what you do is TRULY APPRECIATED by so many. Don’t let a few “Negative Nellies” ruin your day.

    🙂
    QC *hearts* you!

  40. I didn’t see the comments either but I wanted to say that I appreciate all of the hard work you put into doing the tutorials here and on SCS…………..thank you!

  41. Beate,

I just want you to know that I whole heartedly agree with the above posters. Your talent, creativity and generosity are without question and anyone who would even consider such a thing needs to find a new hobby other than storytelling. I appreciate so much everything you share with us on both your blog and SCS…I’m a huge fan.

    Best wishes and big hugs!!
    Jen

  42. whoa, drama! sorry to hear about that. anyhow, i think you should release some stress with DDR 😉 hope you have a nice afternoon with the kiddos!

  43. This whole matter was handled in such an UNPROFESSIONAL manner. TJ should have contacted SCS directly instead of ranting to newsletter subscribers who then mauled you and Claudia without knowing ALL the facts. I AM a TJ subscriber, but don’t know if I’ll renew after this. I enjoy the TJ newsletter, but don’t want to be associated with a group that is so quick to accuse. Keep your chin up… it’ll all blow over soon! Looking forward to future tutorials and challenges!!

  44. Oh my goodness Beate. I did see and read some of the comments yesterday and am just disgraced at how truly mean spirited pople can be. I am a huge fan of your work as well as Claudias and the tutorial yesterday was absolutley terrific. I look forward to them every week and this week was definitely worth it. I know it’s easier said than done, especially since I wasn’t directly involved, but plese try to ignore them and their comments as they really aren’t even worth the acknowledgment. Hold your head high, you’re awesome!! Big ((((hugs)))) for you today!! Kelly

  45. Beate, I am so sorry that others posted with out asking what the whole story was. I have not seen the post on SCS but love your stuff and will continue to support and follow you! Keep your chin up! You are wonderful!! Jessie:)

  46. As all have said above, you are a incredibly talented person, but more importantly, have a heart and spirit that comes through your work that is an inspiration to us all. May you be encouraged by all those who have written here and hear their words in your heart and mind and not let the other find a place. Bless you. Claudia

  47. Hi Beate,

I didn’t see the mean comments because I hardly ever read comments, but I just wanted to say that I always look forward to your tutorials and enjoy learning the new techniques you share. Thanks for all you do!

  48. I am soooooo sorry, Beate!! I wish I could hug you through the monitor!!!!

Enjoy the kids and your book, sweet friend!!!

  49. Luv that beautiful RAK! I will never understand people! Sometimes I think that the people who complain the most have nothing else in their life & need to find conflict elsewhere to keep them going everyday. I just don’t get it! Please don’t stop giving tutorials because people like me are still learning & other people like to learn new things. So sorry that you had to go through this & I hope you will continue on, we luv you & your work Beate! I hope you forget about it today & have fun with your kids. Extra (((Hugs))) to you!

  50. I did not (and won’t) read the negativity – that is one thing I strongly dislike about forums BUT I will say this: I love ya Beate, you share so much creativity, and are as sweet as can be! Big ((((CYBER HUGS)))) to you my friend!!! As Cambria would say “your da bomb, baby!”

    *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

  51. This makes me want to cry! I am so sorry, Beate! I missed this yesterday. I have been swamped here and one of my boys is sick. I cannot believe that anyone would ever accuse you of something like this. You are one of the most honorable, HONEST, people that I know. I am so sorry that this happened. …And shame on whomever would have the nerve ((((Hugs)))))

  52. I also want to say that hurtful and JEALOUS people exist in this world and all that we can do is ignore them. I come to your blog everyday for ideas and inspiration. I feel very bad that you were hurt by these immature posters. Enjoy your day away and come back soon because I love your work and your blog.

  53. Wow I didn’t read my new letter very well. I have it when people are so petty. Isn’t the point of SCS to share. I love all the great idea’s I get from SCS and your blog. I always give due credit. I love the simple instruction with great photos on all the techniques you and SCS offer. Thanks for taking the time to teach us new techniques….
    HUGS!!!!!!
    Happy Stampin’

  54. Mean-spirited and jealous individuals are not worth your time. I love your tutorials and comments, looking forward to get inspired by your great cards every day!!!
Schaue jeden Morgen was Du Neues geschafft hast und bewundere Deine Karten und alles, was Du so machst. Weiter so!!!!!

  55. I am so sorry you had to deal with the comments of “the wicked.” It is someone who is jelouse of the wonderful things you do for us. Please keep in mind, God knows the truth, and he has sent all of your web-friends to back up the truth. I was reading my devotion just now during lunch.
    Phillipians 2:3 says:
Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourself…..
This tell me, she is dealing with rivalry and conceit, such a shame. We all have so much more important things in life to deal with then….petty stuff like this.
You are in my prayers for the Lord to comfort you and for you to take this experience and toss it out the window…it is trash.
Keep up the good work for us who appreciate all you do for us.

  56. I just want to say {{{{hugs!}}}} I appreciate all that you do and share with us through SCS and your blog. It makes me sick that others can be so mean!

  57. so, so sorry to read this Beate – big, big cyper hugs to you – do not allow these mean people to bother you, they do NOT deserve that attention…..take a break and then please come back to us, because we all do enjoy and value your work…..and we also know, in which categorie we have to put those silly people, who have to make so hurtful comments….. so don’t worry….Lot’s of Love and positive energy Antje

  58. Beate, please don’t let ugly comments from two people who don’t participate except to leave ugly comments ruin your wonderful tutorials. I think that you do a fabulous job and should be commended for all the fine work that you do. I also love your blog, so keep up the good work and enjoy your day away, but don’t stay away to long….we would miss you to much! ;o)

  59. Beate,

Please do not let other people’s words bother you. Those of us who know you and follow your blog know your only intention is to share what you know with everyone so we can all benefit and learn. I check your tutorials all the time and they are very helpful. Thanks for all you do!

    Robbie

  60. Beate—I’m so sorry for all the negativity yesterday. I don’t understand why people don’t utilize e-mail for such things if they feel they MUST say something. I so appreciate how much you share with all of us. I hate that you have been hurt. Please know there are plenty of us out here who come to your blog and look at SCS tutorials for inspiration–and we will keep coming. Thanks for all the time you spend doing this to benefit us—-people you don’t even know! HUGS~

  61. Lots of love comin’ your way, girl!!! You totally rock as an artist and as an instructor. I’ve been in this stamping world for just a little over a year and feel so very fortunate to have found you and your inspiring blog.

Just remember, that people who strike out unprovoked and for unwarranted reasons generally are uninformed and have a low opinion of themselves, therefore they have to put others down to make themselves feel better. Who knows about that person at SCS? All I know is that you seem to be a sharing and caring person and I hope that you take all the positive input here today and use it to erradicate the hurt.

Thank you for all you do and all you are.

  62. you know that everyday i love everything you do! i am confident that it was just a mistake! i am sure you have contributed enough to the papercraft world that people cannot believe that you “cased”. everyone normally cases you…
    xoxo
    ronee

  63. Beate, it does not matter in the grand scheme of things what is said by thoughtless, insensitive people. WE who read your blog EVERY DAY know the type of person you are and treasure you for your creativity, kindness and heart. Thanks so much for being an inspiration to so many. Keep doing what you do – you are AMAZING!

  64. Beate – I had no idea that this was going on, what a terrible thing for a couple of people to do! I haven’t read the comments, and won’t bother to, jsut know that you have a whole fan club out here who love everything you do! You are such an inspiration to so many people – get your chin up and smile back at them and know you are bigger than they are!! We love you and all the wonderful things you have done for the stamping and blogging world!!

  65. Beate, don’t let the drama get you down. They were overreacting but don’t you. You have a good heart and that is what shows through your work and your tutorials. We know better than to fall for all of that silly copyright infringement talk.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for us – we really really really appreciate it!!!

  66. Beate, I am so sorry to hear about the unkind postings yesterday. I’m a new stamper and so VERY much enjoy your website, tutorials, and your personal info. I feel like I’m getting to know you and look forward to your site everyday. There will always be people who say hurtful things without thinking. Please know that the vast majority of your followers love you and really appreciate you. Just ignore the rest!!

  67. Just a note (hopefully this will cheer you up)… Silke Ledlow picked one of your weekend sketches to do on her blog today (myself and someone else nominated one of your fabulous sketches).
    More hugs – G

  68. I have been reading your blog for awhile now but have not commented until now. I am so sorry you were one of the people that was hurt by this. I have been a Technqiues Junkie member for almost 3 yrs now and have never seen anything like this happen. I wrote Pat this morning telling her how wrong I thought she was for how she handled this and for accusing you guys of stealing that technique from her. I hope she will not make that mistake again or I don’t know if I will continue to be a member over there. I am happy to know I can freely use the techniques that you provide on SCS how I want and not have to worry about this kind of thing though. Thank you for all that you do in the stamping world. I have learned a lot from you.

  69. Beate, I love your tutorials and they have helped me a lot. Amy had horrible stuff said about her and now the same has happened to you. If you can’t find anything good to say then be quiet should be the motto! Hope you have a great day with the kids and plenty of warm sunshine.

  70. I just wanted to let you know that I think you **ROCK**. All the time and effort you give to all of us is appreciated.

A big heartfelt hug to you, Beate!

  71. Beate.. you have been such an inspiration to so many of us on your blog and especially SCS..don’t let the negative opinion of one insecure person put a damper on your creativity. You know you are not guilty of the allegations thrown at you(and so do we). It’s funny..the OP has about 3 posts on SCS–and no gallery..I think that says alot. Some people only know how to boost their own self esteem up, by attempting to bring others down. We hope you continue because you love what you do…

  72. Hugs to you, Beate! And to Claudia as well. I did not see the thread on SCS, but I am sorry that this happened to you. I know that you would never steal anyone’s ideas or words.

  73. {{{HUGS}}} You do so much for the site, I am sorry to hear that mean comments were sent your way or Claudia’s way. I still think you are the best!

    Jenn

  74. You are an amazing and talented lady. I have you on my feeder and so enjoy your blog.

You are an enabler. Don’t let others take that away from you. Cyberspace is a way for people to say things that are mean and hurtful and not have to be accountable for their words. I am sorry that you and Claudia have been treated badly. However, by the bad actions of others, the loyalty that the rest of us feel towards you is stronger.

Keep up the great work. Enjoy your children and know you are so appreciated, trusted and thought of fondly.

    Thank you.
    Denise G

  75. beate, thank you for all you do and all the inspiration you give so very many people…the work you do and your creativity, thoughtfulness, and talent is so appreciated…i cannot imagine how hard this is for you when you do so much and provide so much for so many…it is like a slap in the face…i hurt for you…i hope you were able to find some peace today with your reading and your children…thinking of you…
    chelle

  76. I have to agree with you 100% , I wouldn’t feel like sharing today either.
This is EXACTLY why I stopped going to the “other” very popular scrap site , haven’tbeen there in over a year now. It got to be so snarky and mean I couldn’t come away with the joy anymore.I noticed it more on the scrap side of the board, the stampers where still polite at the time. I think the scrappers were so competitive all they thought about was getting “published”.
That is when I discovered all the fantastic blogs that I enjoy so much now. My web life was happy again!!
These people have such strong opinions when it’s the annoynomous web, but they seem to forget common courtesy (sp?)
They forget that this is voluntary , must take a huge amount of time and for our enjoyment.
I am so thankful I don’t live next door to such busybodies.
    Imagine that?

  77. This card is wonderfully cute…..I sincerely hope you had a wonderful day with your family. I’m sorry you had to put up with all the nonsense. I look forward to more of your creations, your sharing of other creations, your tutorials, and tutorials from others who are willing to take their time to share and inspire others. Thank you so much for your inspiration Beate…..!!!!
    Hugs!!!!!! Joan Jeffery

  78. I am so sorry for all that happened on SCS with the tutorial. You do a wonderful job. Take time for yourself and enjoy your children.

  79. Aww…I didn’t read anything on SCS yesterday (kinda glad I didn’t!) People can be so hurtful sometimes. 🙁 Hope you’re feeling better soon and know that others adore your work and are helped greatly by your tutorials and assistance. <3

  80. (((((HUGS)))))

I was on SCS last night when that thread started and was completely shocked by it. Even more shocked at the nasty comments left on the tutorial.

I really hope you, Claudia and SCS know how much support you have from it’s members and fans!

  81. Beate,

I am so sorry you felt bad!! You are wonderful and do a great service to many people that really appreciate you. Please listen to those that appreciate you and pray for those that don’t!!

    Keep Stampin!!

    Neida 🙂

  82. Beate, keep on rockin and don’t let the “HAGS” bring you down. Your true followers know you put your whole heart and soul into your work!

And, Claudia did a fantastic job on her card!!!!! She should be so proud to have it displayed on SCS, not smeared like it has become.

  83. I didn’t see it either! But I understand! That’s why I stay out of discussions on SCS! I’ve been a mamber for a long time, but mostly a lurker! The people that I enjoy have blogs and I visit them there!
I enjoy you and all you do! BIG HUGS! 🙂

  84. Beate, we’ve never met and I’ve never posted anything here, but felt compelled to write and say how sorry I am that you and Claudia had to deal w/ that. I don’t understand why people feel the need to be so hurtful. I hope your day off has been lovely and that you’ll be back soon – I love checking out your blog – you are wonderful!

  85. Hi Beate,

I thought about you a lot yesterday. I was very offended for you, and for Claudia and Daven as well. Her outburst was extremely rude and unprofessional. The SCS community adores and respects you, and we’re behind you 100%!

  86. My stamping dollars are limited. I became a demonstrator in Feb and I feel like if I have money to spend on it I’m buying Cardstock and envelopes. I’ve felt guilty not supporting SCS financially because I have benifited from it so much.

Today my stamping dollars went to SCS and I joined the FanClub in honor of Beate!

  87. Awww, Beate!!!

Remember that there LOTS of people here and even on SCS that DON’T partake in the drama!! I’m one of them. I am here to do what I love, learn from people who know more than I do about it, and share it with those who enjoy it as well.

You’re such an inspiration to me. You’re so devoted to doing these tutorials, making cards and sketches to share with us, and to your kids & husband.

Don’t let anyone get you down- you are so loved!! 🙂

  88. That card is so on track… “There’s no one like you!”. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration.

Hugs and Smiles from your friend way up North,
    ~Nancy

  89. Hi Beate,
I did not see the comments but I am very sorry that someone has made hurtful comments. I love your site and appreciate all the hard work you do-you are a real inspiration and your blog is on my daily check in list. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards and teaching me on a daily basis.
    Take care Beate.

  90. Beate,
I’m just so sorry this happened to you – you didn’t deserve it – and that’s a huge understatement. You are a blessing – thank you for all you do.

  91. Beate keep your head up; I absolutely love your blog. You are a true inspiration.

  92. Hi Beate,
Wow. What a day. I’m glad you had the courage to be honest and just take the day off. I don’t blame you a bit. May you keep your chin up and move forward. I appreciate all of your splendid offerings to the stamping community.

    Be blessed,
    barb hendrickson

  93. Beate-don’t let the crabbies get you down. I haven’t seen the comments over there, but I was given that “project” in a swap and recently shared it with my club. I had no idea it was a TJ technique-and I’m a subscriber. Hope you feel better and PLEASE keep sharing with us!!! You’re such an inspiration!

  94. BIG HUGS BEATE. I am so thankful for all you do to inspire all of us stampers…..giving up your time to share and educate. I have learned so much by your posts and tutorials. What can I say — you’re my idol 🙂 Have a wonderful evening with your family.

  95. Oh Beate, I’m so sorry you are having to go through this! You are a precious gift to all of us, with your wonderful talent and tireless contributions to SCS. Please don’t give the meanness another thought! You are so very loved and appreciated!!! Hope you enjoyed your day with the kiddos!

  96. Sorry you were hurt by this Beate … I did see the thread … I have been stamping for many years and I often see techniques that I saw, did or taught years back … techniques get passed around and no-one owns them …. just know that we all love you and appreciate all you do for us and SCS.

    {{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}} to you and Claudia

  97. Beate, you are a great inspiration to everyone, and we all love that you take the time to share with us everything you know. People just don’t seem to care anymore, don’t let one persons opinion get you down. I think I can speak for everyone, we all appreciate you and all that you do.

    ((((Hugs))))
    Shanna

  98. Beate please don’t let hurtful comments from one person get you down. We all appreciate everything you contribute and do here on SCS.

  99. Beate,
I, too, am sorry for the hurtful things that were said. I’ve been so inspired by your work with SCS and from your website. I learned early on from SCS to stay away from the forums unless I needed some specific info. Too many people ranting and raving over things that were not in their control and many times they turned into personal attacks.

I love your way of dealing with it. I always find it helpful to relax and drench myself in time with my kids when I feel sad. It reminds me of my priorities and leaves me remembering how loved I am. There’s nothing like the unconditional love from your child.

God Bless You and thank you for all that you do for the stamping world!
    Shannon

  100. Beate,

Sorry to hear about the issues on SCS. I think people forget that even online comments are hurtful and wrong just as if it was said in person or as rumors. Enough about that. I love your blog and what all you share. Hope you have a better rest of the week.

  101. Enjoy your time with your kids, I know their hugs wash away all kinds of hurtful dirt that gets slung around. Thank you for all you do. There are many who appreciate everything you do, and there is no reason to dwell on the hurtful. They must be very unhappy people to want to make so much hateful noise.

Thanks for all your effort that you put into your work so graciously!
    God Bless,
    Jennifer

  102. I think all the positive posts here should be a testiment to how people feel about you. You have been so much help to so many people. I truly enjoy your posts and come here often. Please don’t let a few bad apples spoil what you do so well. Hugs to you and Claudia.

  103. Saw it, read it, couldn’t believe it! Some people! You are one of the reasons I decided to join SCS and the Fan Club. You are an amazing and awesome stamper. And from the sound of those who know you, you’re an awesome person too. Love you work. Love your blog. Love your challenges. This too shall pass. Thanks for always sharing your talent with us!

  104. Beate, you are such a nice person and wonderful for always sharing. I know this experience must have been very hurtful but please know that so many of us appreciate what you do and not for one minute believed someone stole any ideas, techniques, etc… That double pocket card was in a stamping magazine that I own and have in front of me right this minute so I have no idea why someone would go to the extent they did to blame anyone for stealing anything. I just hope some rest and time with family will help you put this all behind you.

  105. Special hugs to you. You have been so wonderful in answering questions and your work is fantastic. I am sorry that others envious of you and Claudia can be so cruel. But you have way more people that love your work, talent and kindness. As my Granny would say, “Don’t let ’em get your goat!” Look forward to your next post real soon.

  106. I’m so sorry to hear this! I hope you don’t take it too hard. People can be very mean spirited some times. I hope you were able to find joy today and will just put that whole ugly thing behind you.

  107. What people have nothing better to do with their time(?) Girl no matter what some people say or think, you absolutely rock! Keep up the wonderful job you do with providing all the wonderful tutorials you share with us!
    Terry

  108. Beate, I’m so sorry to hear about this…I went to the tutorial to see what you were talking about, and I feel sick to my stomach. It’s unbelievable how ugly people can get sometimes, and over something that no one ‘owns’, as many people said…they knew of that technique for years, long before that newsletter ever printed it.

    I’m sorry for any pain or sadness this has caused you, Jenn, or Claudia, and hope you know you are SO appreciated and loved by the vast majority of SCSers. Thank you for all that you do, all the time you put into the cards, tutorials, challenges, and websites. {{{BIG HUGS!!}}}

    ~Michelle

  109. Your the most awesome person I have never met! lol. I love your work and come for inspiration as often as I can! Thanks for all you do!!! Mean comments are just from jealous people!!!

  110. Pleeeeeease do not be disheartened. I did not see the comments but I love your work and hate to see you take a day off stamping when I check your site several times a day hoping for something new from you. You give so much in your time and talent.

    Thank YOU!

  111. Don’t be disheartened – some people are quick to accuse and will readily hurt your feelings and during all this your talent and creativity are ignored. It is not just the technique but what you put into your work that makes it so inspiring. The fact that you ‘give’ readily and freely is much appreciated by many. It isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last time that hurtful accusations have come from that corner. I hope you have a day with plenty of rest and relaxation.

  112. Beate, I’m so sorry that some people are so ridiculous and petty. Hold your head high, girl, and don’t worry about those comments. Enjoy your day with your kids! Hugs from Morocco!
    Tina

  113. How sad that people feel the need to criticize. I guess it’s easy to be mean and hurtful when they’re hiding behind a computer! I hope you know that there is a multitude of very grateful stampers that appreciate all the hard work you do. You are a wonderful teacher and talented stamper and we are blessed to know you. I don’t blame you for taking a day off… hang in there! (((((((HUGS))))))))

  114. Beate, It looks like I’m on a long list of people that want to send you support and hugs, and you totally deserve it. I’ve only heard of the Techniques newsletter, and had not seen the comments on SCS yesterday, but I totally understand how words can hurt. I hope you were able to do something nice for yourself yesterday and that it will not stop you from doing your tutorials. We in the stamping community appreciate your efforts so much!
    HUGS!

  115. Hello Beate,
what a shame that you have to get into all this again on your own personal blog. it is aweful, that these people made you do this.

i can not believe that people actually believe that something like this would have been done knowingly by a reputated site like or you! i can only say – i work so hard for my blog that i would have never ever risked to get this negaitve attention. If people would spent a little more time on simple research than writing these mean words, they would even see that this tutorial is out online for a long time now on other sites.

It is very hard to express my feelings about all this but dear Beate thank you for your and the SCS support.

    Claudia

  116. I was shocked when i went on Splitcoast and saw the mean things that was being said. It is someone who is jealous of your wonderful talent. Don’t think the second thought about it.

    smallcity

  117. Beate,
I am so sorry that people were less than kind. Fortunately, I didn’t read the negative and hurtful stuff that was said on SCS. Please keep sharing your gorgeous work and tutorials. I always learn so much from you!
    Hugs to you!!
    Kathy

  118. Oh my dear sweet Beate !!! I’m sitting here just crying for you ! It is beyond my comprehension that anyone could be cruel to you when you have SO MUCH for all of us both on your blog and on SCS !! I am heartbroken over this and wish I could say something that would make all the hurt go away. I will say how much I personally have grown as a stamper from you…how much I have learned generosity through you….how much I have stretched myself creatively through you. Please know how much you are cared for, admired and loved by all of us !!

    Big Hugs my friend !!!
    Love you..

  119. I am so sorry Beate, that you had to go through that. I still can not understand why people have to be mean. The service that Splitcoast provides is unlike anything else out there. It is a joy and a blessing to me,my downline and my customers. I enjoy it all. Thank you for all that you do to promote your love of rubber stamping and Stampin’ Up!

  120. I have been an SCS member for quite a while and had never seen such attacks when a technique or project was shared for everybody to enjoy. Oh yes I have seen some of the SCS tutorials for techniques on other sites (so what-now they can be in all one placed-yippee for me), but from the very start I knew SCS and the kind and generous administrators had moral integrity and would never do anything to jeopardize that. I love SCS and although I have never met any of the admins or mods I feel as though I know you and them personally. You all are some of the finest and most generous people in my world. Thanks for all you do from the bottom of my heart.

  121. Hi Beate. The tutorials are a valuable part of SCS and I have personally learned a lot from them. I truly appreciate all the work that you, Jenn and everyone who guest writes for them does. I was directed to the thread of complaint thru another part of SCS that I frequent. However since there was a description of what the thread would say, I CHOSE not to visit it. Splitcoast, Daven, Tracy, Jenn and you (and everyone else who works/helps/volunteers) are all honorable, upstanding people and I couldn’t even imagine such nonsense being factual.

I am so sorry that someone could post, let alone think such ridiculous comments. I am sorry that someone could be so hurtful to you and anyone else who is so giving of themselves.

I hope you do choose to stamp something today and therefore choose not to let some negative people impact your creativity and joy you find in stamping.

    Hugs to you all.
    Joyclynn

  122. Some people have nothing better to do than be mean. So sad.. We love and appreciate all you do. Thank you

  123. (((((HUGS))))) I just wanted to let you know how much your kindness means to everyone. I changed my SCS username a few months ago and you sent such a sweet email to let me know it was finished. I saved the email because it made me smile! Thanks for making EVERYONE on SCS smile. Your time & dedication shines through always!
    ~Heather~

  124. Beate,
I just wanted to tell you how incredible I think you are! Your work on the SCS tutorials is amazing, and I sincerely appreciate what you and the other authors provide us. So many times I’ve heard of a technique or seen something that I wish I could figure out how to do, and inevitably, you bring it to us in such a great, easy to follow tutorial (for FREE!). Thank you for all of your hard work and PLEASE keep sharing with us. We NEED you. : ) Also, so many of the times I share a new technique, I say, “I learned this from Beate’s blog,” or “from a tutorial on SCS.” My career as a SU demo would be worthless without people like you willing to share!!
    HUGS,
    : ) Kelly B

  125. You are such a pleasant person to do business with and have always appreciated your kindness. Your tutorials are so well done, love the pictures that we follow when using one of the tutorials. I have not read the post that you are speaking of. I receive your blogs each day and look forward to them. Most generally there is a lesson to learn from you each day. Enjoy your kids today and just read all the kind words that have been spoken concerning you today. In any situation, always notice the good out weighs the bad. GOD Bless,

  126. Its unfortunate that even in a forum like this, or SCS, that there are nasty people…I enjoy your blog every day, love your creativity..please don’t let a few people ruin your love of stamping and your willingness to share your talent with the rest of us..have a great weekend, and concentrate on all the wonderful things people have to say about you and SCS.

  127. Oh, Beate. I don’t even know you aside from feeling like I do because of your wonderful blog, but I’m so insulted by those people. You have every right not to post today! Maybe a little time-out from your beautiful creations and inspirational tutorials will make people think twice. It will make me go into Beate Withdrawls but I stand beside you %100!!! Chin up, Buttercup!!! You rule! Claudia too!

  128. I am probably one of the few of your readers that doesn’t really create with stamps and just find inspiration from your incredible talent. Only stupid, jealous people talk, and they talk about nothing. Hey if you weren’t so talented, they wouldn’t have anything to say. Ignore ignorance for it comes it many shapes and forms. Enjoy your family and savour all the good in your life.
    Dawn K

  129. OMG, Beate I am so sorry this has happened to you, I haven’t read on SCS about what happened but it sounds like busy bodies that obvious don’t know you. You are wonderful person and share your knowledge, creations, and talent with the rest of us- Thank you for that! Don’t let them get the best of you, proof is in all these responses that we all know you wouldn’t “steal” anyones ideas or words, you don’t need to!

  130. Beate, I just wanted to say that I love all that you do. I love your tutorials, your cards that you share, you even take time to leave comments for people. Honestly, I don’t know how you do it, but it’s very apparent that you’re a caring person to take the time to do all this. BIG hugs to you, and please continue to do exactly what you’re doing….try to brush off all the ugliness on that post….we really love ya, girl! 🙂

  131. Beate, I’m so sorry to hear about the “tutorial” fiasco in SCS. That is why I don’t join any of these community even if I would like to. It’s just because of people who has too much pride and they attack you like a “pitbull on steroids” when they see you used “their” technique and they didn’t get recognized…as if. But who knows really who originated any of the technique that we see on the web?! School teachers doesn’t give credit to the people that taught them. People who likes sharing their knowledge such as yourself are blessed and I appreciate the learning. Beate, the light of God’s love shines through you and your every kindness.

  132. I can see there are many of us that feel so sorry for you and Claudia, both. I cannot believe the nasty comments that were directed at the two of you. I, for one, love reading all the tutorials that you and so many other talented women work so hard to share with us. I receive so much inspiration that I cannot imagine what I would do without SCS. Thank you for sharing you time and talent with me! Please know that you have more fans than foes, and we love your tutorials. I am already looking forward to next Wednesday!!

  133. Hugs for you, please remember that you are better than these people. Love the tutorials and your blog

  134. I guess I don’t need to say much more…you have plenty of us out here that love and appreciate all your tutorials!! Big Hugs and enjoy the day with your family. :0)

  135. Beate, I can’t believe someone would write something negative to you of all people about tutorials. I am so sorry that some jerk!
would do that to you. I think your tutorials are fabulous and fantastic. You always do such a great job with such detail.
You are a beautiful person and it’s easy for me to say don’t let it bother you…As I always say, what goes around, comes around.
They will get in back wait and see. Hugs, Barb

  136. Beate,

As I am sure you have learned in your adult life, there are people who live to tear others down. especially successful, loved people like you! take the comments for what they were, people who are looking for a reason to complain. let them wallow in their unhappy lives. you just hold your head high and keep creating. we love you for it. you rock!

  137. For all of us some crap must fall… I was shocked when I read the post on SCS… Don’t let it get you down… Some people are just mean spirited and don’t have all the facts! For those who live their lives being so mean – what comes around goes around and it will catch up with her some day! Keep a stiff upper lip and ignore them!!! Now go and give your stamps some lovin – they are missing you!!!

  138. Beate,

Thanks so much for all the inspiration and education you work so hard to share. Don’t worry about the negative stuff. You have so many more people that appreciate all the work you do!!!!

    Have a good weekend!!!

  139. Beate,
I check out your blog nearly every day, too! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. That’s what good girls do- help out their sisters! I didn’t see the thread with the nasty comments, but I wouldn’t believe it for a second anyway. Just keep doing your thing- you have lots of friends!

    Hugs,
    Nance

  140. Oh, I just read the comments, I’m so sorry that you and Claudia Rose have had to endure that. Some people it seems exist solely to tear others down. Take heart, there are plenty of other people who deeply appreciate everything that you (and the other tutorial writers) do to help us broaden our horizons and increase our abilities. **Hugs**

  141. I, too, did not read the comments nor will I . It is so unfortunate that people cannot use common courtesy with others. If someone has a problem with another person or blog they should discuss it PRIVATELY through an e-mail. Posting for all the world to see is just tactless. Mistakes happen and one should always get the author’s viewpoint BEFORE they pass judgment. So sorry that you had to endure such treatment. Don’t stop doing your blog or sharing your talent just because of someone else’s problem.

  142. Beate, I didn’t (and don’t)read negative things on SCS, so I don’t know what was said, but anything mean or negative is way out of line and completely uncalled for! I love that you share your amazing talent with everyone and am thankful for you and all you do to help inspire others. I had a pretty bad day awhile ago and came home to find a comment from you on my blog and it was what I needed to make it through the rest of the day. So thank you for that too:) You rock:)

  143. I love your tutorials, they are so easy to follow by the directions you give. People amaze me by how mean and rude they can be. Please do not let this one person make you feel bad. I loved the tutorial. I get the TJN now, but will not re-new

    smallcity

  144. Hi Beate,

I too want to echo what has been said many times in these comments. I so appreciate your hard work for SCS. Your tutorials are awesome, well written and easy to follow. I did not see the thread on SCS, and now know to avoid it. I also (as many have said) check your blog every single day! Thank you so much!

Hope you’ve had a good couple of first days of summer with your kids! Enjoy!

    Trudy

  145. I’m so far out of the SCS loop that this is the first I’ve heard of this. You give so much of yourself to all of us through sharing your love of stamping and I’m sorry to hear that you were treated unkindly. I hope that the encouragement and love of friends is helping to heal your hurt. Sending you a (((hug))). ~Patti

  146. I haven’t looked to see what happened on SCS, but I am so very sorry things were said to hurt you. Everyone (who matters!) knows how dedicated you are to helping us out in the stamping community, and the thought that anyone would accuse you of anything but being a WONDERFUL, thoughtful, creative soul just breaks my heart. Sorry you had to endure that!!

  147. Hi Beate, I just had to write something here after reading this post. First, try not to let those negitive people get you down. There are so many people (including me!) who appreciate the way you take the time to continually share your creativity! Besides being so creative I can tell you are a super nice person! I know you have made my day more than once when you have posted a comment on my blog…I felt like I was visited by a celebrity! I thought then, Wow! She is something else…she takes the time to visit each person who participates in her challenges and leaves such nice comments. Even though I have never met you, I can tell you are a sweet and giving person who certainly doesn’t deserve whatever it was that someone was saying!!! It makes me mad!!! It has to be out of jealousy is all I can think of. YOU ROCK!!! and those haters…well, I’ll just keep what I think of them to myself. 😉 Hope your air conditioner is fixed soon!

  148. You know what I love about Stampin’ Up? They remind us every time we get together that the very most important aspect of art is sharing…. None of us “own” art, because you absorb things, and make them your own, and most importantly, SHARE what you’ve learned. Who cares if it’s influenced by someone else, or a coincidence, or even a copy? It just means that there is more art in the world. Pretty sure God smiles on that 🙂 No worries, Beate. Every thing you do makes us all better and I am grateful! Don’t let anybody get you down. You are such an inspiration to us all. And it’s super humid here too – I hope your AC is fixed!! Big Texas hug for you, you sweet girl.

    Lydia

  149. I visit your site almost every day for the inspiration and creativity you so freely give. Thank you for your generous spirit. Please do not let a mean spirited person ruin your day. Thank you for adding to the Beauty of the World each day.

  150. Beate, I have no idea what was said about you and Claudia but I am appalled that anyone could say nasty things about you. I have never subscribed to TJ (nor will I ever)but I am familiar with the newletter. I have to tell you that after reading a technique I am left with many unanswered questions as they are not explicit in their details. I am grateful to you and the many others who write tutorials for SCS because you are explicit in your details and I can follow them step by step. I know that I can count on your blog and tutorials to give me the the best information. You are the best and you are selfless in your sharing with the stamping community. Not knowing you personally I would feel a great sense of loss and sadness if I could not “visit” with you everyday. I hope the love that we all share for you helps to ease some of your hurt.

  151. DITTO all of the above!!

  152. Girl, just wanted to send you some positive thoughts. I have no idea what was said, but I can’t possibly imagine that it was at all deserved. We love you and all you do for us. Hang in there. Just remember, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

  153. Beatte, I am also very sad about ANYTHING that would and could hurt your feelings and I am just now learning about this end of the story. I do belong to TJ and had heard a little about it there specifically from the owner who begged everyone to stop saying anything negative and that if there was a coincidence that the tutuorials were similiar she knew it was accidental so I think this reaction also needs to be said. She was very upset about the situation and felt terrible for you. This whole situation was a tragic situation that I hope can and will finally be forgiven and forgotten. Patricia

  154. Hey, sweetheart! I’m so sorry I never even saw the thread that got so mean…the tutorial comments were pretty much all I could take. I’ve been so angry about the whole issue that I’ve only had very limited contact with SCS the last few weeks. BIG hugs to you, girl…and I hope you DO know that anybody who’s a friend of SCS knows that the petty words of a few who DON’T belong at SCS are not worth the cyber space they take up. We all know you are one of the best there is…

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  155. I’m so sorry you are hurt. I think you are wonderful. This world is full of all kinds of people….and some of them are in every niche of our world. Sometimes we just have to look past the bad, and focus on the good. Don’t let a negative pressure out there destroy all the good we focus so hard to create and share.

    kathy

  156. Oh, Beate, I haven’t seen the hurtful comments either, but believe me, you are loved and needed. You have helped me so much with your tutorials – I have learned to do many new and exciting things. We all hope you will be back soon. Thanks for everything. We miss you.

  157. My heart goes out to you. You have always shared your vast stamping knowledge with us on Splitcoaststampers and many of us owe you our gratitude for teaching us about this fun art.
I didn’t really pay attention to the posts about the specific tutorial because I know that you are a woman of high integrity and that is all I need to know.
Enjoy your summer with the kids. I hope you will be back soon.
    Aloha,
    Glenda

  158. Beate–
I have not (and don’t care to) seen hurtful comments. You have helped so many of us grow in this wonderful craft/obession we all share. I hope you return sooner than later. Enjoy the summer.
    Looking forward to your return!

  159. Just wanted you to know that I NEVER comment on blogs nor do I hardly ever visit them. But I saw a post today on SCS and I felt compelled to tell you that I am just so sorry this has happened to you. You are such a valued member of SCS that I hope you won’t let the comments of a few deter you from coming back as soon as you feel comfortable. Thanks for all you do and just wanted to let you know you are the best!!!

  160. Dear Beate,
I had no idea what was going on and like so many others I want to express my sorrow that someone could be so mean. Please don’t let one rotten apple sour you on the rest of us. We love you and your work and appreciate all you’ve done!!

  161. Beate,
Look at all the gals who you have inspired in one way or
another !!!! I know how you feel. I love your tutorials, you
have helped my work so much. I hope you will continue to do what
you do best, and ‘blow off’ whatever happened, cause you will be
    missed way too much !
    Robyne

  162. Beate,
Here it is June 22, and this is the first I’ve heard of this. Being a teacher, my stamping time is in the summer. I don’t know what tutorial is in question, and really don’t know any details at all, but it sounds like you were accused of plagarism. That is just crazy.
I would like to echo what others have said. When I want to find out how to do something, I go to your wonderful tutorials. I would just like to say how much I appreciate them being there when I need them. It has made a difference to me.
It is a shame that one person can hurt another in that way. There you were just trying to be a nice person, not hurting anyone, and BAM! I had it happen to me this year at work, and I know the kind of funk it can put you in.
Enjoy your time with your children. I hope you come to realize, as I did, that your passion will still be there. People can come and go, but you are a constant on SCS, just I came to realize that I am a constant in my student’s lives regardless of what one person may think.

  163. Oh Beate, I’m so sorry anyone would say anything so hateful about you! You have been the best! You have helped me when I have had problems with the site or with my own stupidity, and have been so patient and kind. I don’t know exactly what was said, but please know you have our support! We love you and don’t believe anyone who would falsely accuse you of anything! I know how hurtful it is when someone completely falsely says things about you, but just remember… when we all face our maker one day… all this stuff will have to be accounted for… stand firm in the knowledge this is all false… and don’t let them get you down! We think the world of you and miss you very much! Enjoy your kids, your books, the outdoors and anything else that makes you happy! We’ll be missing you but will be waiting with open arms when you are ready to come back. I for one thank you for all your help!

  164. beate – i just had to comment here. i’ve read your blog since you created it. i don’t always comment [but i have] but have ALWAYS enjoyed reading and looking at your posts. i won’t give you advice, because you’re smart enough to know it already, but i just wanted to let you know that i love the way you want to share your love of the craft with anyone and everyone. hugs to you girl! c

  165. Beate,

For the short time I have been in stamping YOU have been there for me when I had questions on How to Do things. You are extremely helpful and nice, even when I don’t understand something the first time you tell me. I only visit the gallery to see the beautiful art everyone creates and visit the tutorials when I don’t understand how to duplicate something one of you all did.
Please don’t let someone who obviously has no self esteem or confidence of their own to get you down with their vicious pettiness. That is what makes people who like drama feel better about themselves. Pity them, but stay with us

  166. Oh my!! I’m just an occasional visitor to your fantastic blog, and I LOVE your wonderful tutorials and gift of creativity that you share!!! I’m so sorry this happened…….I missed all the hullabaloo and I’m thinking that was a good thing! I’ll never understand the pettiness and mean spirits some folks have. Please know that you truly ARE appreciated and respected by lots and lots of us!!!! Big Hugs and please enjoy your summer and your kiddos!!!!

  167. Oh no Beate, I am so sorry you were hurt. I have been a bit mia lately and just catching up on my fav blogs.
Please do not take what a few misinformed or judgemental people do to heart. I know that is easier said than done.

Just know that your hard work is deeply appreciated.

  168. Beate

I can’t believe that nasty things have been said – OMGoodness!!!

I came to look at your blog today for some inspiration as I quite often do. It had been a while and the last time I visited I considered attempting some of your challenges (which I now intend to do when you start up again in August). I read this post and was just astonished.

I’m sure you know that you have many, many supporters – and I think that their kind words will allow you to put the nastiness behind you as I know you will.

I love your work and your tutorials – you have been one of the stampers that I look to frequently for inspiration.

In a nutshell – you ROCK!!!!!!

I hope you have a lovely summer with your family.
