I am sure you have noticed already that I am not using much Stampin’ Up! products anymore. I decided not to sign the new IDA and today is the first day that I am officially not a demonstrator anymore. I didn’t think I would ever quit being a demonstrator, but I didn’t feel right to only share part of my work here on my blog. I was a demonstrator for seven years and enjoyed every minute of it. I met so many great people and made many friends through Stampin’ Up! I was sad at first to leave Stampin’ Up!, but I am having fun now exploring all the other products out there.

I will be selling a LOT of my Stampin’ Up! products. Please check my for Sale section on the left.

I hope you will still visit my blog even though I am sharing projects made with non Stampin’ Up! products now. I will focus creating with products from stamp companies who support Splitcoaststampers, either by advertising or being member companies. That is the main reason that I decided to sell my Stampin’ Up! products.

  1. I will sure keep visiting you 🙂 I did notice you did not used Stampin’Up! products that much anymore and since you had told us you were not sure you were going to sign the new IDA I figure out you did not. In fact I find it really honest from you to do so even if it most be really hard to let go being a demo if you had downline and all. Have a wonderful day! 🙂

  2. Natürlich komme ich hier noch vorbei. Es gibt auch noch Stempel neben Stampin’ Up. Auch wenn sie sehr schön sind, ich bin gespannt auf weitere Werke von Dir mit anderen Stempeln!

  3. Beate, I understand how hard it must have been for you to make that decision, but I KNOW you’re having a blast now! I’ll always visit!

  4. Beate
I love your work. Thanks so much for all you do!
    Donna Lee Williams

  5. Beate, you are such a creative person, I visited you blog because of you, not because of the stamp line you are using – and will keep on doing that! Just keep enjoying stamping and all the fun around it! Have a great sunday!

  6. I will definitely visit your blog every day as I get so much inspiration from you. I, too, am no longer a demonstrator as of today, but for different reasons. I love their products, but was more of a hobbyist and feel I have run out of things to buy and want to try some other products. Thank you for continuing to share with us and best of luck on your new journey of stamping.

  7. I can’t imagine anyone would stop visiting your blog because you’re no longer a demo – your creativity and enthusiasm for your craft are not tied to SU, that is all you! I think they’ve made a big mistake with the new IDA and the fact that they have lost you, one of their biggest ambassadors, should make them wonder if they made the right decision…Can’t wait to see where your journey takes you now! Have FUN!

  8. Hi, Beate – I am sorry to hear that you had to make that decision, but, knew you were having to “lean” that way! I am not a demonstrator and love using and trying other products! Each of my cards contain some element from another source and I perfectly understand why you want to try others! I just LOVE to visit your blog and am so inspired by you! I’m glad you won’t be limiting yourself to Stampin’ Up products only!

  9. I was a demo almost as long as you. I guess today is my official last day as well. I think you have so much to offer in educating and sharing. I completely understand your decision. I will be here checking out all the fabulous things you do. I have found so much more creativity since I stopped limiting myself to one company. Isn’t that what art is really about? Using all sorts of things as inspiration! Let the creativity flow!(ok, you don’t really have a problem with that:)

  10. Let me tell you…I have been LOVING my post SU! life! There are SOOOOOOOOOOO many stamps out there! Can’t wait to see what you use next!! HUGS!

  11. Beate – Enjoy!
I for one will continue to visit daily!
    Sandra

  12. I love your work with or without Stampin Up. I just love papercrafting and I hope you will always continue to inspire all of us no matter what product you use.

  13. It is what YOU bring to the project, not the product line that draws us in over and over. Don’t look back…. regrets are a waste of time! :o)

  14. I was wondering about you and the new IDA!! I need to come stamp with you!! We are so close now!!

  15. Beate, I visit your blog because of your seemingly endless creativity and I love everything you do; now that you can choose ANY stamp line to use, the sky is the limit for you! Enjoy your new adventure!

  16. Beate, your work inspires me to take chances, go outside my comfort zone and remember why I started this wonderful hobby. Thanks!

  17. I know how you feel! I was a demo for 6 yrs and they changed some things way back then that made me have to sit back and reevalutate my priorities. It was so hard for me to quit as I loved their products and my business was really taking off.

  18. I love your work and you are so talented in your creations. Keep up the good work!

  19. Love your blog and will continue to visit it! It’s a sad day for SU though to have lost your inspiration & talent! I wish you the best and know all will be well! Your designs are fabulous!

  20. Your blog is so informative and you do such wonderful work that I can’t imagine not visiting in on a regular basis no matter what stamps you use.
    It is SU’s loss.

  21. Beate, My friends and I love your blog. We visit it all the time for inspiration and your wonderful ideas. I’m actually glad you won’t be just using Stamp in up. They have nice stamps/papers but there is so much more out there to choose from. Keep up the great work! Best of luck!

  22. Of course we will keep visiting!!! o question about it.

    Cheers,
    Robin

  23. I think you made the right choice & yes I will still visit your blog. I luv variety & there is so much out there to use, I don’t think anyone should be restricted by just one company. I luv your work Beate & will always come back for more! Thanks for all your inspiration over the years! I don’t always comment but I AM here looking every day.

  24. Beate, off course I will still be coming over to visit you!!! Even though I like the quality of the SU stamps and all, but I think they are going to regret this big times. I feel, and that is IMHO, that even though being a demo you should not be limited to what and who’s stamps you use and what you can and can’t post on your Blog. I have to agree with some of the other comments, that we come to see your talent and creativity and not because you are using JUST ONE kind of stamps. Keep those beautiful creations of yours coming :D. Hugs and blessings, Sabrina

  25. Beate, du bist für mich DIE!!!! Stempelmama schlechthin…! Und egal ob du Su benutzt oder was auch immer, ich bleibe dir treu!!!! Liebe Grüße, Silke

  26. I completely understand and I think a lot of people agree with you, one being myself. I am going to finish out 2009 as a demonstrator and let my membership end after sale-a-bration.
I am looking forward to the freedom of using all types of products to share with my loyal stamp campers which have agreed to still come to my home monthly and be creative with me.
I love Stampin’ Up also, but I am taking this as a sign for change.

  27. All the more reason to visit…variety!
You’re in my google reader, LOVE your work!

  28. I’m still a fan of your art! Keep stamping and sharing!

    🙂

  29. Today is my first day of no longer being a SU demonstrator any more too. I understand your difficult decision. I look forward to all your wonderful future creations! Hugs!!

  30. I figured you would end up making this decision….though it may have been a tough one to make, I’m very much looking forward to all the stamps you get to dabble with now 😀 Love your work (((hugs)))

  31. love your blog, and will still visit, because you’re work is inspiring. thanks so much for sharing your passion.

  32. Beate: I always admire an honorable person. SU will lose a great person. I have a quote for you and perhaps other readers will be supported by it:
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments
of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
    —Martin Luther King, Jr.

  33. Beate-
You are a joy and an inspiration to so many. Take care of you and keep sharing yourself, company affiliation is not a big deal to those you inspire.

    Blessings.

  34. I was only a demo for 3 years, but when I didn’t sign the new IDA, I found myself breathing a big sigh of relief. Somehow the pressure of buying stuff that I didn’t want just to try and keep others excited for SU products was becoming a burden, not a joy. I’m having fun exploring new things and can’t wait to see what you do on your new adventures!!

  35. I will continue to visit your wonderful blog. I hope you may include SU on an occasional basis, as I love what you do with SU products. Thanks for the inspiration you’ve provided!

  36. You have such a great talent and I feel so lucky to get to see your creations. The sky is the limit when it come to crafting tools now. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next 🙂 Have a great day.

  37. I think of your new creations as the new companies you represent! I have been tempted by Unity and Verve and that is just in the first month! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with!

  38. Sorry to see you leave the SU family. I know the choice was difficult. I hope to find inspiration from your site although, I loved how you used SU stamps. Many of your samples and ideas became projects for my camps and workshops. All the best to you in your new path!

  39. I will always check out what you’re up to and have been thoroughly enjoying your more regular posts again. The fact that you are trying lots of products is surely SU!’s loss and no one elses….I’m loving it I know that:)

  40. No impact here! Today’s my first day post SU! demo-ship, and it’s okay. For those of us who made this decision, I think we did the right thing because we chose with our conscience in our personal situation and it’s all good!

    ((hugs))

    Loretta

  41. I have all SU stuff, but their rules are way too “weird”….. I was a demo for a short time, not sure how anyone can MAKE $$ doing it. Wishing you the best and I will continue to be inspired by your awesome work.

  42. I’m so proud of you for making such a difficult decision and excited at what lies ahead for you Beate. You’re such a talented stamper and I always enjoy what you share on your blog.

I too have dropped my demoship after nearly 7 year with SU! It’s been a wonderful journey, but it’s time to move on as my family is growing and changing.

    Many blessings! ~Patti

  43. You KNOW I will be visiting always! 😉 Sending you BIG HUGS!

  44. I made the same decision, Beate, but I was just a hobby demo. I’m sure that it was a much more difficult one for you. Glad to see that you are embracing all the other wonderful, fabulous and fun products in the crafting world! I have always visited your blog to see your creative talent shared not because of what stamp company you used! That will not change! {{{Hugs}}}

  45. Hi Beate…..You’re creativity goes beyond a brand name!!! I love your blog, your creations, your stamping….oh heck….and even you!!!

  46. It’s your personality and your personal style that keeps us coming back to visit you–not the products you use. Thank You for all of your hard work & for the fantastic ideas you share! 😀

  47. You will continue to do amazing work Beate – just with lots of other amazing companies out there – I’m sure it was a hard decision for you but I will still be following and visiting! All the best to you. HUGS.

  48. Hey girl…I will always visit, no matter what you use! You are such an inspiration, and soooo sweet too!! Take care, my friend!!

  49. Though your SU card/projects were great, that was not the reason I loved your stuff, blog or you! Beate, you have such natural talent and an inspiration to so many, step away from the SU curtain and be yourself!

    Love ya,
    Robbie H.

  50. No matter what you use, you rock, Beate! You are amazing and creative person, and we all love you! Thanks for all you do for SCS too! Hugs!

  51. I understand that you didn’t feel the constraints of the new rules would hold back your creativity.
Myself, I’m not at all disappointed with your new samples on your blog.
    stamping sue

  52. Beate, you have so much to offer in so many venues, I just hate that SU forced the hands of so many demonstrators. You’re right, there is so much out there and I can see that your talents are still being shared in many ways, so enjoy your “new world.” May God bless the decision you made and prosper you.

  53. You are so right! There are so many great products today that it doesn’t seem right to limit yourself when your really good at it. Stampin’ Up missed this call.

  54. we were not visiting the product (S.U.) we were visiting you all along. Your tips and videos are so great. I feel stampin up did a disservice to all of you demonstrators. Hope it doesn’t end up biting them in the posterior. There are very few people who have only there product in there homes. good luck and please keep blogging…MaryAnn

  55. I had only signed up in July but couldn’t go along with the new IDA. admire you for doing what you thought was right, will be exciting to see your new projects!

  56. I love what you create and will remain a faithful visitor!

  57. when we are with you, we do not need Stampin’Up. Good for you for standing on your principles

  58. Sorry to hear you are no longer a SU! demo, I’m sure it was not an easy decision to make but *LOVE* seeing all the new cards with various stamps on them! I’ll keep on visiting 🙂

  59. So sorry you are not with SU anymore, though I DO understand why, considering your enormous creative talents!!! Will continue to visit your blog for inspiration, as well as yourgreat tutorial videos on SCS. HUGS ALWAYS!!

  60. Beate you have incredible talent and we will all still support and follow you. SU has lost a valuable talented person. I too had to make this hard decision after almost 10 years as a demonstrator. I feel there are so many inspiring products by other companies and did not want to limit what I share on my blog. You are a great inspiration. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

  61. I’ll never leave you!! I also didn’t sign the agreement. I feel sad, but it was what I had to do. But I really should have ordered more cardstock ealier!!
    ~lacey

  62. STAMPIN’ UP!S LOSS, THERE ARE TOO MANY WONDERFUL STAMP COMPANIES AND PRODUCTS OUT THERE TO LIMIT YOURSELF. ENJOY LIFE AFTER STAMPIN’ UP!

  63. I started following your blog a day or so ago. I like your wonderful ideas and it really doesn’t matter what product line you use. I think the main thing is to CREATE and have fun doing it. 🙂 🙂

  64. I echo everyone else’s comments – you are the reason I visit your blog, not the products you use. I LOVE SU products but I could never be a demo long term just because there are so many other cool companies with excellent products (like Spellbinders or PTI!). Thank you for all that you share and the heart you put into every post!

  65. It’s not the product you use we kept on coming back. videos. Its your “CREATIVITY AND INSPIRATION” and your wonderful “VIDEO TUTORIAL”. I wish all the best. By the way, could you make a video on how to use the spell binder?LOL

  66. Beate,
I enjoy your fresh ideas and creativity. Because I get your daily messages on Feed Blitz, I feel like we are friends. I look forward to your morning blogs. Keep up the good work, you are appreciated!!

  67. Of course I will still visit! You do a great job-love seeing what you come up with. Thanks for your honesty! 🙂

  68. When you have creative talents it doesn’t matter what products you use. I will definitely visit you again.

  69. By this very, very long list of comments you must realize just how valued your creativity and knowledge has meant to SO many people far and wide. Thank you for the anguish I know you went through to make this awesome decision. There’s a world of new and experienced learners waiting for you to inspire them as you have for so very long! What a stage to be standing on! Can’t wait to see you nest blog, you have a style all your own!

  70. I respect your decision to not sign the IDA, Beate. I don’t have a blog, so I wasn’t conflicted in the same way. I am curious though. Why is it that you and so many other demos who chose not to sign it are no longer using few, if any of the product line? I am not being critical towards any gals who had to make that tough decision, just wondering why you don’t use the products any more.

  71. Are you kidding? I may not post all of the time, but you couldn’t get rid of me if you tried. lol 🙂 Seriously though, I know how difficult that decision had to have been for you. Personally, I’m totally enjoying EVERYTHING you make and post, whether you make it with SU or not. I resigned two years ago for personal reasons, but I’m having too much fun with the other stuff out there too.

  72. I will definitely continue to visit your blog! I know this was a difficult decision for you to make. I also have decided not to sign the new IDA. I have always enjoyed mixing SU products with those from other companies and want to continue doing so!

  73. I didn’t sign for a month, but then did just to get my Great Rewards freebies. I am not selling any more, though, so I’m sure I’ll drop by January. I really wonder how many SU demos did NOT sign the IDA!!! I am SO curious to know…I think it’s quite a lot. I believe them did themselves a disservice with the new IDA…it just took too much freedom. I have already been buying lots of Paper Trey, Unity, and other stamps for years. I have a great supply! Stamping is just LOTS of fun. I wish you well! You will be FINE. 😀

  74. Beate, I support your decision completely. You are so very talented it would truly be a shame to limit yourself under SU’s silly restraints. I love your work…I can’t wait to visit your blog everyday to see what new ideas I can get from your creations. Again, thank you so much for sharing your ideas and inspiring us to try to be as creative as you are.

    Hugs,
    Sue

  75. I have decided not to sign the new IDA too! I want to be free to use what I want, when I want without any resrictions. Congratulations on… letting go. 🙂

  76. You do beautiful work no matter what stamps or products you use. I understand the difficulty in having a blog and being limited. I’m a Stampin’ Up Hobby Demo and I still use other products but don’t have to worry about a website. Not a problem for me. Someone asked the same question that I was wondering … Why not still use Stampin’ Up products? Having the reason of quiting because of being limited and then not using a product … is that not a contradiction?

  77. I know this must have been a difficult decision but good for you! I too would not like to have a noose around my neck! After all, we welcome competition in this wonderful country called the USA 🙂 You offer so much creativity & inspiration, you will continue seeing me 🙂

  78. I fully understand your choice and I admire you for it. I will continue to visit your blog. You have fabulous postings, great ideas and you share SO much. I look forward to your latest creations!

  79. Beate, I’m not surprised. After being with SU! for 8½ years, I quit a year ago this month (for a variety of reasons) and haven’t regretted it for one moment. There are so many wonderful companies and products, the possibilities are truly endless. You are an amazing and talented artist to be confined to one brand or company. I have been visting everyday for months now and LOVE everything you do. Even though I don’t have time to stamp much these days, you keep me inspired and excited for those rare moments when I do. Many blessings to you and your family, Cindy in AZ

  80. Beate, I will continue to visit you as long as you continue to post! You are phenomenal with or without SU. YOU have the creativity and ingenuity, SU only has the product, and so do many, many other companies. I support your decision not to re-sign – if I were a demonstrator, I would be making the same decision at this time! Big hugs, dear lady – keep on keepin’ on – you are a daily inspiration to us all and we love you!!!

  81. I love your tutorials, new to splitcoaststampers, your blog is an always with me. You are great and everything is made simple with your art work. Thanks

  82. I am so glad that you will be using differnt products and that you still are blogging and writing tuts for all us. You are so gifted and I just cant wait to see what you have planned for all your loyal follwers.
