I am still trying to come up with CAS cards … at least once in a while. It is definitely a big challenge for me. AJ and Maren do so well with Unity stamps, I just had to try again. Please check the Unity blog to see all entries for the FWF blog hop.
My card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Always Artichoke cardstock folded in half. The My Mind’s Eye Oh La La paper measures 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. One side was wavy cut, each edge was sanded and sponged with Antique Linen. The top edge was paper pierced. May Arts Ivory Satin Ribbon was tied around the top edge of the paper.
The sentiment stamps are from {Rockin’ it Unity style}. They were stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink. Pearl Kaisercraft Pearls were attached next to the sentiment. To add some Umpf to the card I painted a Harlequin Grungeboard Elements heart first with a mix of Snow Cap and Espresso Paint Dabber (to create a beige), then with Dash of Red Claudine Hellmuth Paint. It was sanded, then sponged with Black Soot Distress ink. I thought it would be cute to attach the heart to the card with an X made the Tiny Attacher.

I don’t find it easy to do totally CAS, and yet I don’t normally go overboard on layers and embellishments either.
