Sorry I have been so quiet. I am going through another stamping “slump” phase. First I watched all the Bones episodes, then I started reading a book series and this week I have been fighting with nasty migraine attacks.

I won’t show you the entire card because I wasn’t quite happy with the way it turned out. The card is too busy!!!  I am telling you…major slump over here.

Here is a video I shot for last weeks newsletter for the Faux Cloisonne tutorial:

  1. Beate, I have missed you sooooo much…..I am so sorry you are going through a slump, we all do that once in a while…and I sure hope your migraine will go away soon, too, so you can get back to your normal self. I am so in love with what you showed us here today….I have never thought of using magazine pages the way you did…BRILLIANT as always!!! Hugs and wishing you a lovely weekend!

  2. Really pretty card, I don’t think it is too busy at all.

  3. Great technique. I have never heard that term before today. I hope you get rid of that migrane soon. No one is on top of their game 100% of the time. I am sure you are much more critical of yourself than we would be of your work anyway. I love almost everything you make! You rock in my book!

  4. Beate, I have forgotten about this technique! It’s always great to see one of your video tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing. Definitely am going to give it a try.

  5. What a brilliant idea! Love your sweet butterfly, and as always, your tutorial was wonderful! Glad you are back – you are missed terribly when you’re gone! Have a good weekend, dear friend!

  6. Hope that your migraine is over now, and look forward to seeing your new sharing. Take care.

  7. hey there – I so feel you I have days where nothing seems to come together. I think mostly we are just too hard on ourselves. Thanks for the video – love all you have to share.

  9. Wow Beate ~ Never would I have thought about using a magazine page for this embossing…What a wonderful idea…once again your inspiration for me, is just a great learning experience. TFS!! Have a great weekend!

  10. Wow = how beautiful!
Could you describe how you did the rest of the card? Same technique or?
    Thanks!

  11. Recycle, reuse, redo!!! Love your idea. Hope that nasty migraine goes away. If you feel as my daughter does I can almost feel the pain…Yeouch! Thanks…glad to know you are OK!

  12. Very cool…I love this technique!! the card is just beautiful!! Hope the migraine is better…what book series are you reading now?? Something I should pick up?? 🙂

  13. Oh, Beate! I’m sorry you suffer from migraines too. (((hugs))) I get them too and the last one over the weekend was horrible! This is such a neat technique! I can’t wait to give it try. Your peek of the card you made looks lovely! Everything you make is beautiful. Hang in there!

  14. I am a fellow military wife and let me just say, I know your pain (no pun intended) with migraines. They have plagued me for years…but then my PCM had me try Zomig…IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! It doesn’t prevent, but, for me, it SHUTS THEM DOWN. Anyway, I know this is NOTHING stamping related, but seriously, it may be worth looking into. Good luck! FLY NAVY!

  15. maybe its the changing seasons… I am headed into migraine #2 for the week myself. UGH.
