Last week the Featured stamper was Emily Montenaro. She creates beautiful clean and simple cards. That is usually hard for me, but I gave it a try. This card also worked for the VSN challenge Singing in the Rain. We were to be inspired by the song “Singing in the Rain”. I loved that song and that movie when I was little. I used Lizzie Ann Designs February Monthly Mixed called Singing in the Rain.

I picked this card of hers to case. I switched the card base from White to Kraft and changed the image. But I kept the layout and made it a CAS card.

My card base measures 4 1/4″ x 11″ and was folded in half. The corners were rounded with a retired corner rounder from Stampin’ Up! The image and sentiment were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The little chick was colored with Prismacolor Pencils. The little umbrella was paper pieced with patterned paper from the October Afternoon Ducks in a Row patterned paper pack. The edges of the umbrella were

I cut clouds out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with the MFT Cloud Die-namics die. The edges were sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The same was done to the umbrella before it was adhered to the card base.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! Hugs and smiles
