I created this card back in June for one of the Color challenges as well as for a Midnight Madness sketch challenge. To start out with I cut and embossed a rectangle out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Classic Rectangle Nestabilities. I stamped the the chair from Flourishes Beach Life on the lower right hand corner with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored the image and created a landscape with Copic Markers ( y11.jpgy18.jpgy19.jpgyr14.jpgyr18.jpge99.jpge43.jpge55.jpgbg000.jpgbg10.jpgbg13.jpgbg15.jpgbg18.jpgg94.jpgyg99.jpg). The image was layered on a black scalloped rectangle that had been cut with Nestabilities. Dew drops were added to the top right of the image.

The card base is a  4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock folded in half. A 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Farm Fresh October Afternoon paper  was first dry embossed with Tim’s Ray Embossing Folder, then it was stitched to a 3 15/16″ X 5 3/16″ piece of Basic Black cardstock.

Three edges of a 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Weathervane October Afternoon paper were stitched and the attached to the card base with dimensionals. White organdy ribbon was tied around the lower part of the image layers and heated to distress. A sentiment also from the Beach Life set was stamped with Tuxedo black on a Neenah Solar white piece of cardstock that had been cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities.

The inside of the card is pretty simple, like always.  A 1 3/8″ x 3 3/4″ piece of October Afternoon paper was adhered to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of white cardstock. That was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Basic Black cardstock before the layers were adhered to the inside of the card with dimensionals. The horizon stamp from the Beach Life set was stamped on the upper left side with Broken China Distress ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
