This week’s sketch challenge on Splitcoast was perfect for long thin images. I picked one of the Poppy images from the Poppy set from There She Goes. The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a 2 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (YR04, R05, R08, R27, R29 Poppies, G21, G24, G85 Leaves, custom color (1/5 YR31, 4/5 blending solution) for background). The right hand edges were rounded with a retired Corner Rounder from Stampin’ Up! before the piece was adhered to a black Label 8 Nestabilities die cut. The left hand side of the die cut was cut close to the image.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. A 2″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Thrift Store October paper was adhered over a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of White cardstock and  Black and white Gingham ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip.

The image layers were adhered over a 2 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of another pattern from the Thrift Store paper. The paper edges had been distressed and the left hand side paper pierced. These layers were attached to the card front with dimensionals. Black Kaisercraft Rhinestones were used to finish off the card front.

For the inside of the card a 2″ x 3 15/16″ piece of Thrift Store paper was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of white cardstock. The Poppy image was stamped on the right hand side with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. A sentiment from the same set was stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags and adhered on the paper strip.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles
