Hello and welcome to the Whimsy Stamps December new rubber release BLOG HOP! NINE gorgeous new Whimsy Stamps are being released today! They are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

The hop starts today (Wednesday December 8th at noon EST) and ends on Wednesday December 15th at noon EST.
For this hop we have 7 different prize draws – WOW! The grand prize of ALL 9 of the new release stamps is being hosted by Simonne at the very end of the hop, but there are also 6 mini candy stops throughout the hop! I’m not going to tell you where they are, so you’ll just have to keep on hopping to find them! *wink*
For my card I chose the Penguin’s Present image.
I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It! Blending card and colored it with Copic Markers (Penguin: N3, N5, N7, Shoes: B93, B95, B97, Hat/Bow: R05, R08, R29, Beak: Y17, YR15, YR14, Box: BG72, BG75, Scarf: colors for shoes and beak), cut the image with Petite Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed the background with Copic Markers B91. Small dots were drawn with a Copic Multiliner on the gift box, the color was lightened with the Copic Blending Marker and topped with Stardust Stickles.
I had picked the patterned paper I would use for this card before I started coloring and selected colors that would work with the paper.
The Image was layered on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, cut and embossed with a Petite Scallop Oval Nestabilities. Crafty Sparkles Chunky Crystals were added to the bottom of the image with Glossy Accents.
A 3″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Echo Park Wintertime paper was adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of paper from the same paper collection and topped with lace from Melissa Frances Ribbon Collection . Both layers were stitched to a 3/8″ bigger square of Early Espresso cardstock.
A snowflake was cut out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Whimsy’s Winter’s Jewel 1 die, topped with a Recollections brad and fastened to the image layers.
The sentiment is also from a new stamp set called Friendship ticket. It was stamped on Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with Spellbinders Five Tag die. It was airbrushed with Copic Marker B91. A snowflake cut and embossed out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Snowflake Borderabilities die, topped with a Recollections brad and adhered to the upper left hand side of the sentiment tag.
Five Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones on the lower right hand side finish off the card front.
