It’s time for the new Whimsy Rubber stamp release. The Whimsy Stamps DT have been sneak peeking these fabulous stamps for the past 5 days, so if you missed them be sure to hop on over to the Whimsy Inspirations Blog for some more inspiration!
This month there are 18 fabulous new Whimsy Stamps (5 stamps by Crissy Armstrong, 4 stamps by Meljen’s Designs, 4 stamps by KennyK, 4 new sets and 1 new background by Raindrop Echo Designs) plus 2 new wonderful dies to show to you today! The hop starts today (Wednesday May 18th at noon EST) and ends on Wednesday May 25th at noon EST.
For this hop we have 6 different prize draws! We have not one but TWO grand prize draws, so two lucky hoppers will win a large selection of new release stamps. Grand Prize 1 will be for those who help us advertise the hop, and Grand Prize 2 will be for those who hop along with us. Also, we have 4 mini candy stops throughout the hop where you can enter to win a new release stamp! I’m not going to tell you where they are, so if you haven’t found them you’ll just have go back to the beginning and start hopping!
For my card I used the darling Wee Snippet with Mystic stamp created by the wonderful Crissy Armstrong. I stamped the image on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut it with the largest Classic Rectangle Nestabilities die and colored it with Copic Markers (Mystic Mane: RV000, RV10, Rv21 Fur: N0, N1, N2, N3 Horn: BG 05, BG07, BG09, BG10, BG11, BG13 Wee Snippet Skin: E50, E51, E53 Hair: E97, E99, E25, E29 Wing: BG07, BG09, BG10, BG11, BG13 Shirt: YR30, custom 1/5thYR31 + 4/5th Blending solution, YR31 Leaf skirt: YG00, YG01, YG03 Flower: YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18 Background: B0000, B000, B01).
The image was layered on a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Classic Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die and the edge of the image layer was paper pierced. Mystic’s horn and Wee Snippet’s wing was covered with Stardust Stickles, the flower in Snippets hair with Orange Peel Stickles.
White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Lattice Rectangle Nestabilities die. May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around it before the image layers were adhered over it with dimensionals.
A 4 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Springtime Echo Park Paper was stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock and the image layers were adhered to that with dimensionals. Next everything was adhered to the card base, a piece of 5 7/8″ x 9 3/4″ piece of light orange Core’dination cardstock, folded in half.
The sentiment is from the new Magical Mini Letter Seal stamp set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut and embossed with a Circle Nestabilities dies and colored with Copic Markers (YR30, 1/5th YR31 and YR31). The sentiment panel was adhered to the upper right corner to finish off the card.

I love the white lattice card stock. I have been thinking about getting some nestabilies, but I just don’t know if I can invest so much into them. For results like this I will need to reconsider.
