I thought it would be nice to have a video for the Acetate Box Tutorial. It’s a great project to dress up Valentine’s treats.

The finished box measures 2″ wide, 2″ deep and 3 1/2″ wide. Because it’s so little, there isn’t much room to decorate. The patterned paper strip are from  Echo Park Little Girl Patterned Paper. One edge was cut with the Stampin’ Up! Scallloped Edge Punch.

A tiny tag was cut with MFT’s Notched Tag die out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Two small hearts were cut with dies from the same stamp set/die combo out of Little Girl paper as well as red cardstock. The hearts were adhered to the tag and a sentiment was stamped on it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Silver curling ribbon was tied into a double bow and adhered on top of the tag.

I hadn’t played with MFT stamps for a while. So when I saw this VSN Mini challenge, I  got out Pure Innocence Snow Angel, stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, once on Neenah Solar White cardstock and twice on small patterned Holly Jolly Echo Park Patterned Paper.

The image was colored with Copic Markers (bear: E55, E57, E59   Holly & Berries: R08, R17, R29, G02, G05  Hat rim: C2, C0, C00   Snow: B0000, B000). The scarf hat and mitten patterned paper pieces were shaded with G0000, G000, G00, the boots and coat with R02, R05, R08). Before the paper pieces were added to the main image, The image was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. Two cloud masks were added, the image was masked and the background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B02. The Clouds were shaded with Copic Markers W00, W0, W1.

The image layer was adhered to a slightly bigger Canyon Brown cardstock circle and then to a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Tear Drop Circle Nestabilities die. Turquoise Baby Bling was added to the Tear drop circle.

A 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Holly Jolly paper was adhered stitched to a 4 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ Holly Jolly paper piece. A small strip of white cardstock was adhered to the top of the paper layers and brown May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around the horizontal layer. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with Linen Thread. The layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half. The bottom two corners were rounded.

A sentiment from Snow Angel was stamped on a piece of Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the smallest Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The center of the oval was colored with Copic Markers R000 and R00.

Here is another card I made for one of the VSN challenge. I combined it with last weeks MFT sketch. For my card I picked the Pure Innocence set called Snow Day. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock as well as different patterned paper from Echo Parks Season’s Greetings. The image and clothes pieces were colored with Copic Markers (jacket/boots: R17, R29, R39   Hat: YG21, YG25, YG17   Pants: B000, B12, B14    Hair: Y23, E25, E29    Skin: E0000, E00, E01) cut out and assembled.

A piece of Season’s Greetings paper was cut with MFT’s Tag die-namic die. The edges were sanded before the paper was stitched to a piece of Solar White cardstock. A sentiment from Snow Day was stamped on the right edge in Tuxedo Black Ink. The paper pieced image was adhered to the tag with dimensionals. Sugar Sparkly Fluff was added to the pom poms of the hat and the rims of the boot. Stardust Stickles was added to the snowballs.

Two 4″ long strips of Season’s Greetings were cut with the Small Scalloped Border Die-namics die, sanded and adhered to a 4″ x 5″ piece of the same paper pack.  a 3 1/4″ wide patterend paper was adhered on top of the blue paper and two 3/8″ wide Kraft strips were adhered to the papers before they were stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Kraft cardstock.

White Organdy Ribbon was tied above the red strips and topped with a blue button, which was tied on with iridescent curling ribbon. Before the tag was adhered to the layers with dimensionals, a button was tied to the top with more curling ribbon.

Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with a Snowflake Borderabilities die. The snowflakes were airbrushed with Copic Marker B02. The snowflakes were adhered to the layers with dimensionals. The airbrushed parts of the snowflake were covered with Stardust Stickles. Everything was adhered to the card base a 4 1/2″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half.

Every  week I try to shoot a video for one of the older tutorials. This week I picked the Pocket Card Tutorial. I am loving Echo Parks Holly Jolly Christmas patterned paper so much right now, I had to use it again (and should probably order more).

For my main image of the card I picked the image from MFT’s Merry KISSmas stamp set. It was was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was stamped again on pieces of Holly Jolly Christmas paper. Parts were cut out and adhered to the main image. The paper pieces as well as the main image were colored with Copic Markers ( hat/scarf: R00, R30, R32     Shirt/boots: R32, R35, R37     Stockings: E40, E42   Skirt: E43, E44, E47     Skin: E0000, E00, E01    Hair/branch: E23, E25, E29    Snowman: B0000, B000    Hat: G00, G02, G05, G07    Buttons: C5, C7, C9) and cut out.

The image was adhered with dimensionals on a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and airbrushed with Copic Marker B02. That circle was adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with a Tear Drop Nestabilities die.

The card base was created out of a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of cardstock, scored at 1 1/4″ and 5 1/2″. The four corners were rounded. A 3 3/4″ square of Holly Jolly paper was stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of whtie cardstock. A quarter of a paper doily was adhered to the lower left of the the stitched layers and three buttons were tied to it with Linen Thread.

Part of a Finesse Swirl was adhered over the buttons and more Rhinestones were adhered to the lower right corner. The layers were adhered to the card base. Before the flap was taped down, May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around it. The image were adhered over the flap with dimensionals.

The inside tag is a 3 1/2″ x 5″ piece of Solar White cardstock. The top corners were rounded and a 1 1/8″ wide strip of Holly Jolly paper was adhered to the lower half. A sentiment from the Merry KISSmas set was stamped above the strip with Tuxedo Black ink and part of Finesse swirl was adhered next to it.

I punched a half circle out of Holly Jolly paper with a 1 1/4″ circle punch, adhered it to center of the top of the tag and tied another button on with Linen thread.

This month challenge at Inspiration Emporium is to use metal somewhere on your project. You have all month to make a project for that challenge and link it to the challenge blog entry.

The card I created for last weeks Way to Use it challenge on Splitcoast works for that. The WTC was to use staples on your card. I used an image I had colored with Copic Markers during the CHA Super show. I can’t remember the colors I used nor do I know what the patterned paper is that I used for her dress. I had walked around and begged for a small piece of paper that I could use to dress her up.

The image is from MFT’s Sunflower Girl. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut out with Classic Oval Nestabilities, layered on a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Scallop Oval Nestabilities die and the edges of the oval were paper pierced. The image was masked, the background covered with Cloud dies cut with the Cloud Die-namic die and airbrushed with Copic Marker B02.

The sketch for this card was from last weeks MFT sketch challenge.  The paper used for this card is from the Echo Park Walk in the Park paper pack. The lower white piece of cardstock had been embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dot embossing folder.

The staples were added with Tim’s tiny attacher.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have time to participate in the challenge. You have all September to do so and you may win a $50 shopping spree if you win.

Have a wonderful day!

Last week was a Mini VSN going on on Splitcoast. The first challenge was to create a card with a banner or pennant on it. That made me get out the MFT Ala mode All-Star image.

The image was stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut and embossed with Classic Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Shoes and Shirt: R24, R27, R39,    Pants: B12, B14,    Hair: YR31, E31, E33,     Flag: Y13, Y15, Y17, E23, E25, E27,     Grass: YG11, YG13, YG17). The Pennant was stamped again on My Mind’s Eye Six by Six Everyday Flair patterned paper, colored with Copic Markers Y13, Y15, Y17), cut out and adhered over the main image.

The image was masked, a couple of cloud masks were added and the oval was airbrushed with Copic Marker B04. The layer was adhered to a piece of black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the largest Beaded Oval Nestabilities die. Silver Baby Bling Rhinestones from Want2Scrap were adhered between each beaded oval.

White cardstock was cut and embossed with the smallest of the small Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The oval was sponged with Scattered Straw Distress ink. A sentiment from the same set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Silver Rhinestones were adhered underneath the sentiment.

The card base was cut and embossed out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with one of the Grand Label 11 Nestabilities die. The next smaller die was used to cut and emboss patterned paper from the MME 6×6 paper pack. White organdy Ribbon was tied around the patterned paper layers before the layers were adhered to the card base.  The image and sentiments layer were adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

Here is another sample I am showing at CHA.

The image is from from MFT’s Pure Innocence Blooming Good Day. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White and once more on Echo Park Playground paper. The image on white cardstock was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Hair: Y23, E33, E37   Red: R08, R27, R29   Flower: Y13, Y15, Y17, E99, E29   Grass: YG01, YG03, YG17    Skin: E50, E51, E53) The dress of the second image was colored for a bit of shading with Copic Markers (YR00, YR12, YR15) , cut out and adhered to the main image.

The image was masked, a few clouds were cut with the Cloud Dienamic dies out of Eclipse tape, adhered to the circle and airbrushed Copic Marker B02. The circle was adhered to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with one of the Jumbo Scallop Circle Nestabilities die. The edge of the circle was paper pierced.

The card base was cut and embossed with a Grand Label 11 Nestabilities die out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Echo Park Springtime and Playground paper were cut with the next smaller size. Before they were adhered to the card base May Arts Organdy ribbon was tied the horizontal strip.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Circle Nestabilities die. The center of the embossed circle was colored with Copic Marker B0000. The sentiment panel was adhered to the upper right edge of the image with dimensionals. Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones underneath the sentiment finish off the card.

This is another card I created for a VSN challenge back in March. It was an inspiration challenge.  I chose to pick the heart and the colors from the inspiration piece.

For my card I stamped the image from MFT’s Pure Innocence – Love You with all my heart in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped it again once on the orange and the pink paper from Echo Park Springtime paper. The image on the white cardstock was cut and embossed with Classic Oval Nestabilities die.

The images were then colored with Copic Markers (dress: YR82, YR12, YR15, YR18, Shoes, heart and hair pin: RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25, Skin: E50, E51, E53, Hair: E15, E19, E18, Grass: YG11, YG13, YG17). From the orange paper, the dress was cut, from the pink the hair clip, the heart and the shoes. The paper pieces were run through my little Xyron and adhered to the main image. The image on the white cardstock was adhered to a piece of black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Beaded Oval Nestabilities die. The edges of the image was paper pierced.

A 4″ long strip of white cardstock was cut with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namic die and adhered under a 3″ x 4″ piece of Echo Park Springtime Paper. The layers were stitched to a 4 3/16″ x 5 1/8″ piece of black cardstock. May Arts Gingham ribbon was tied around the horizontal layers and was topped with a Pink Paislee Queen Bee brad. The layers were adhered to the card base, a piece of 4 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Sour Apple cardstock folded in half. Silver Recollections Pearls finish ed off the card.

I created this card back in March for a Free For All Challenge on Splitcoast and a challenge on Mo’s  Digital Challenge blog. Mo’s challenge was to use a baby image, the Free For All Challenge was to create something St. Patrick inspired (greens, good luck charms).

I printed Baby Fairy Flora out on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut her out with Classic Circle Nestabilities die. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Bow: R20, R21, R22, Flowers: Y11, Y13, Y15, Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17, Basket: E30, E31, E33, Background: BG0000, BG000, BG01, Ground: T0, T1, T3). The image was layered on a piece of Black cardstock, cut and embossed with Blossom Nestabilities dies. The edges of the image layer were paper pierced. A piece of white cardstock was cut and embossed with big scalloped circle Nestabilities and airbrushed with Copic Marker YR15.

A 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Springtime Echo Park paper was adhered over a 4 1/2″ square of Little Boy Echo Park paper. A 4 1/2″ wide strip of White cardstock was cut and embossed with the Lattice Borderabilities die and adhered underneath the horizontal strip. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. May Arts Gingham Ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip and topped with a big Recollection brad.

The layers were adhered to the card base, a 5″ x 10″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock folded in half. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental about you. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of  Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities dies. The inner part of the oval was colored with Copic Markers BG0000 and BG000. It was adhered to the lower right of the image. Black Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the card.

It’s this time of the month again! Time for a sneak peek of Whimsy Stamps new Rubber Release.  To find all participants of this sneak peek hop, check the Whimsy Inspiration blog. Tomorrow 18 new stamps and two new dies will be released.

Included in that new release are two darling gnome images, one of them this Grumpy fellow. I had to color him right away. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E50, E51, E53     Nose: E01, E02, E04     Shirt: G82, G84, G94     Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B97     cap: Y17, YR15, YR14, E97, E99     Grass: YG01, YG03, YG17 ).

The image was cut and embossed with the largest Petite Oval Nestabilities die. I added a few cloud masks cut with the Cloud Die-namics die and adhered them over the image. With the die still on the oval, the background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B02. The layer was adhered to a piece of Black cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities die and the edge of the image layer was paper pierced.

The card base was cut and embossed out of white cardstock with one of the Grand Label 11 Nestabilities dies. Echo Park Playground paper was cut and embossed with the next smaller Label die. The paper was stitched to a piece of white cardstock and hand cut around it.

May Arts Brown Gingham Ribbon was tied around the orange Playground strip before the layers were adhered to the card base. The image was adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Twisted Foursome.  It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a tag cut out of White cardstock. I needed a snarky sentiment for this grumpy fellow and I thought this was perfect for it.

While I was playing with Grumpy, I had friends over that colored him as well. Here is a card my friend Jacki created. I love the background she added. She colored him with Copic Markers ( Skin: E000, E01, E02     Nose: R02, R05    Pants: B06, B14     Shirt: R43, R36   Patch: BG15     Hat: YG01, YG03, YG17,Y13, Y15, Y17    Shoes: E21, E23, E27). She then masked the little gnome and airbrushed the background with Copic Markers E27 (wall) and G28 (ground). She created the wall and graffiti with her Blender Pen.

Can you believe she is still a newbie with the markers? I think she did an amazing job.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles
