For my sample today, I had to use the darling Gift Bow Christmas Fairy from Meljen’s Design. I LOVE her fairies. I stamped the image in  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock and was colored with  Copic Marker (hat/jacket: R22, R24, R29, R39   Scarf: light green YG21, YG25, YG17, dark green YG23, YG17, G28   Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, BV00    Hair: Y11, Y13, E31  Bow: BG10, BG11, BG13    Background: C00, C1, BV00).

The image was cut and embossed with the out of the box technique and the second largest Marvelous Square Nestabilities die. A piece My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland paper was cut and embossed with the largest of the Marvelous Square dies. A piece of Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest and second largest of the Marvelous Squares dies to create a frame. That frame was adhered over the red layer with liquid adhesive. The image layer was adhered in the center with foam adhesive squares.

A 4 9/16″ square of Winter Wonderland paper was sanded, and stitched to a slightly bigger piece of white cardstock. I added snowtex to the edges of the square to soften the green. The edges of another paper strip were sanded and adhered to the squares before the image layers were adhered with more dimensional foam adhesive. May Arts sheer ribbon was tied around the layers and topped with a button. Everything was adhered to the card base, Kraft cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ folded in half.

The sentiment banner from Raindrop Echo Designs new Holiday Circle Pennants and another sentiment from the same set were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. The banner and Circle pennant were cut out and adhered to the card. Rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones pack were adhered to the edges of the Marvelous Squares and parts of Fancy That! Border Bling were added tot he top right and lower left corner. Sugar Sparkly Fluff was added to the rim of the jacket and hat.

To be entered into today’s mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT posts listed below by 12:00PM EST tomorrow:

Hello, friends! After a much needed summer break, the NinaB Designs team is back to showcase some of Nina‘s designs for our monthly hop. Make sure you check out the new Summer CHA Releases by Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and her monthly release by The Craft’s Meow.
For this month’s hop, Nina challenged us to create something with gift-giving in mind. For my project I decided to create a tag and a matching small box. You can find the tutorial for the box HERE.

I started by creating a tag. The tag base was cut and embossed out of Kraft cardstock with a die from Tags & Flags. My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland paper was cut and embossed with the same die, sanded and cut down on the embossed edge. 3/8″ wide strip of paper from the same paper pack was added before the edges were stitched and seam binding was tied around the paper. It was then adhered to the tag base.
More Winter Wonderland paper was cut and embossed with the tree die from Sweet Folk Art. A small piece of Kraft cardstock was cut and embossed with the same die to create the tree stem. Buttons were stitched to the tree. Handmade Lilybeedesigns paper was cut and embossed with the small star from Sweet Folk Art, sanded and adhered to the top of the tree.
Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the rectangle tag die from Home Sweet Home. A sentiment from The Craft’s Meows Season’s Greetings in Jet Black Archival Ink. It was tied to the seam binding bow along with a button with Linen Thread.  Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl above the bow and three small rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones on the bottom left were added to finish the tag.
The box base was created out of Kraft cardstock and was decorated with more Winter Wonderland paper and seam binding. The top corners were cut with Crop-a-Dile Cloud Chomper. Another sentiment from Season’s Greetings was stamped on Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a  Nested Lacey Pennant die. Again part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and rhinestones from a Sleek Strip Silver Rhinestones on the bottom left were added to finish the box.
Hershey Nuggets were covered with 1″ wide strips of the Winter Wonderland paper. If I had some Candy Canes, I think I would have added those to my box, but it’s a bit too early to find those in the stores.

Here are these NinaB. Designs products I used for my project:

My post today on Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog is all about how I create the clouds behind my images.  I hope you have time to check it out.

For my image I used the darling new Unity Image (created by Phyllis Harris) called Every Breath. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was colored with  Copic Markers (Dress; YR04, R24, R29, R39 – same colors I used for last weeks poppies   Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11    Hair: Y21, Y23, E33    Sand: E31, E33).

I hope you have time to check it out. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Yesterday I had another post on the Spellbinders blog along with a short video tutorial on how I made this card. Sorry I didn’t post this yesterday, but I had a bad migraine starting Friday and didn’t get to write this short note. It’s still there but finally my medicine is working..

I hope you are having a great weekend and you have a chance to check out the post. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi all! We hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s peeks and we are excited to say that all of the stamp sets that we’ve been showing off this week are in the Flourishes Store HERE! We also have some exciting news to share as well — for three out of the four sets, there is a Silhouette Cut File available as well! These files made exclusively for the Silhouette Cameo offer the ability to custom cut images from the Garden Picks, Autumn Blossoms and With Gratitude stamp sets. Keep reading to learn more! Or, click HERE to visit these files in the Flourishes store! On to today’s last stamp set to be unveiled! It’s one that pays homage to the beautiful blossoms of fall!

https://flourishes.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Autumn-Blossoms-Graphic-358x550.jpg

Part of The Blossoms Collection, this beautiful array of autumn blossoms illustrated by Marcella Hawley features a bouquet, corner stamps, and pieces to create your own borders or frames. Add in a trio of all occasion sentiments and you have the perfect set to create cards for every day correspondence. Set measures 4 by 6″ and is the perfect companion to sister sets Happily Ever After SS199 and Letters in Blossom SS198. If you like this set, you might also like our Summer Blossoms set as well featuring summer florals! The Flourishes design team has really gone all out showing off this beautiful set!

For my card I used two of the border stamps and paired them with a die cut frame. I stamped the images in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic Markers (Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, G20, G21, G24, G27, YR12, YR16, YR18 R24, R27, R29).

I cut and embossed a frame out of white cardstock with the second largest Decorative Label One die as well as a regular Label One die. More white cardstock was cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tags One die. A sentiment from the Autumn Blossom set was stamped in it’s center with Tuxedo Black Ink. The embossed part of the tag was sponged with Antique Linen and the sprig image of that set was stamped in Antique Linen above and underneath the sentiment. The inner oval of the tag was paper pierced.

The tag was adhered over the frame and the corner images were adhered above the frame and the tag. A piece of patterned paper was cut and embossed with the same Label One die that had been used to create the frame. The edges of the paper were sanded.

Two more pieces of patterned paper were cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and stitched before the layers were adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with the smallest Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die. The patterned paper Label One die cut was adhered in the center of the card and the frame was adhered over it with dimensionals. Rhinestones under the sentiment and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl finish off the card.

Our design team has some hand-picked inspiration — just for YOU!

I was a bit of a last minute Nellie and made my card yesterday. I saw the gorgeous creations my team mates had already done and decided to use the image that had been used the least. I have to tell you, I LOVE all three bouquets. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock, cut and embossed with the 4th smallest of the Card Creator Matting A Basics dies. The image was colored with Copic Markers (V12, V14, V17, Y15, Y17, G20, G21, G24, G82, G85, G94, YG11, YG13, YG17, BG000, BG11, C1) and the edges were sponged with Antique Linen and  Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The image was adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the next bigger Matting Basic B die. Two pieces of white cardstock were cut and embossed with the Lace Doily Motif die. One end of each piece were cut off and the pieces were assembled for a rectangle background. The image layers were adhered ove the Lace Doily rectangle.

The edges of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks patterned paper were sanded and stitched. Sheer Satin Ribbon was tied through a hole in the image layer and around the the patterned paper before the layers were adhered to the card base. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread. Small Rhinestones on the Lacey Doily Rectangle and the sentiment finish off the card.

A sentiment from the new set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with an insert die from the Fancy Framed Tag Two dies. The embossed part was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped with the main image in the same ink. The oval was adhered to a tag, cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tags One die.

Today’s sneak peek set is a gorgeous combination of frames, flowers and sentiments.  I love how you can layer these images to create your card.

For my sample I did just that. I stamped a frame and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock. It was cut and embossed with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die. The floral half frame was stamped twice on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Floral Oval Nestabilities die. The flowers and backgrounds were colored with Copic Markers (Y11, Y13, Y17, R11, R12, R14, G40, G43, G46, E33, E37, E39, B0000, B000).

The classic oval was adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Fancy Tag Three die. Matching silver rhinestone Nestabling was adhered over the layers. The tag layers were adhered over the Floral oval image with dimensional adhesive.

Two pieces of My Mind’s Eye Lost Two Sunshine patterned paper where cut and embossed with  the second smallest Grand Rectangle Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and stitched before Sheer ribbon was tied around the layer and through one of the Floral Oval openings of the frame.  The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread.

The layers were adhered to a card base, cut out of white cardstock with the second smallest Grand Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die. Part of a Fancy That! Border bling on the top right finish off my card.
