Last week we posted a new Product review on Splitcoaststampers. The team was lucky enough to receive 6 of the 8 available colors of Smooch Glitz. It is glitter mixed with clear Smooch ink that comes in darling little nail polish bottles. The applicator is a brush inside the lid. I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but let me tell you, I do.

You have seen several samples I made with the product last week already. For this sample I cut down an image from Creative Scraps Little Blessings with one of the Classic Square Nestabilities. The edges were sanded and Starlight Smooch Glitz was added around the edges. The square was adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Fleur De Lis Square Nestabilities die.

A piece of MME Lost and Found Market Street Patterned paper was cut and embossed with a Classic Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded, seam binding was tied around it and topped with a Recollections (Michaels) glitter brad.  The image layers were adhered over the layer with dimensionals.

I card base was cut and embossed out of the largest Fleur De  Lis Square die. A single piece of white cardstock was cut with the same die and adhered over the card base and the layers were adhered on top of that.

Here is a video about the Product:

Welcome to the first ever Nina B Designs Dream Team Blog Hop! We are so thrilled to have you join us on this very special day. My friends and I have some projects to show you that feature the Nina B Designs’ Spellbinders™ Paper Arts (Home Sweet Home and Sewing Elements), The Craft’s Meow Stamps, and Want2Scrap bling.

For my card I used The Craft’s Meow’s Sew Lovely stamp set. I stamped the dress form image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock and two times on different patterns from My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart Be Happy paper. The patterned paper pieces were cut out, adhered to the cardstock dress form and colored with Copic Markers (R00, R11, R12, R14, T0, T2, E40, E41, E42). Next pieced dress form was cut out, leaving a 1/16″ border of white cardstock.

Two wings from Nina’s Spellbinders Home Sweet Home die pack

were cut out and embossed out of Vellum Cardstock. The embossed part was highlighted even more on the back side with my white Pastel Pencil. On the front Frost Smooch Glitz was added. Once that was dry the wings were adhered under the dress form.

A 2″ strip of Be Happy Paper was adhered over a bigger piece. Both were cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Label 23 Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and the layers were cut down on the embossed edge.  The edges were stitched and seam binding was tied around the lower edge of the horizontal strip. A button was tied on it with  Linen Thread.

A sentiment from the same set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink  on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Fancy Tag 2 die die. The inner edges of the tag were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The heart is also from Sew Lovely and was stamped in second generation Vintage Photo ink to the right edge of the tag. The tag was adhered to right hand side of the layers with dimensionals, the dress form on the left. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and one Baby Bling Rhinestone on the top of the bow finish off the card front. It was adhered to the card base that was created out white cardstock with the same Grand Label 23 die used for the paper layers.

Welcome to day 2 of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for our March Release! Today we are actually unveiling not only a brand new stamp set but a coordinating die to make sure that your image is cut and embossed perfectly, each and every time. Are you ready for a peek?

Introducing….

And, it’s matching die….

Our new Botanical Bookplates Vol. 1 set might scream spring, but pair it with this matching die and you’re sure to create beautiful cards all year long with Violas and Snowdrops that are as beautiful as those in real life! This new set illustrated by Marcella Hawley features two large focal images plus two smaller bookplate versions that are perfect for tags, or adornments on cards or creations. Add in 5 beautifully scripted sentiments, and you have the makings of beautiful creativity. Botanical Bookplates Vol. 1 was designed to match our Tailor-made Classic Bookplate Die for a perfectly cut and embossed image each time!

I absolutely LOVE that Marcella designed stamps in the Botanical Bookplates Vo. 1 stamp set showcasing Schneegloeckchen. I used to love watching them popping up back home in Germany as a first sign of Spring. They were such a pretty sight after long winters, a promise that spring was just around the corner.

I cut three pieces of white cardstock with Flourishes new Tailor-Made Classic Bookplates dies. The bookplate snow bell image was stamped three times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers ( Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17   Flower heads: Y00, Y04, W1   Background: BG0000, BG000). Smooch Glitz Frost was added over the petals.

A thin strip of white cardstock was taped above a 2 3/4″ x 5 5/16″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline patterned paper. The edges of the paper were sanded and another piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Lace Doily Accent die was adhered underneath the paper. The edges were stitched before a piece of May Arts ribbon was tied around the layers.

The strip was adhered to the card base, a 5 5/16″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.  A sentiment from the same set was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Fancy Tag die. The inner part was colored with Copic Marker BG0000 before the tag was adhered above the lower edge of the two bookplates on the right. Baby Bling Rhinestones on the Lattice edge finish off the card.

Just like spring, Flourishes’ March release is blooming with goodness! If you are ready for some fresh picks, then you have definitely come to the right place! Flourishes’ tagline of having classic and timeless images couldn’t hold more true when you look at our March offerings!

This first set is Marcella Hawley at her finest. And, she’s paired beautiful peonies with one of the world’s most beloved women to bring you a touching and beautiful set to honor those special to you — including your mom!

Introducing:

Mother’s Words of Wisdom takes some of the best quotes from Mother Theresa, and brings them to life. All five sentiments in the set were designed to fit perfectly in this gorgeous frame of peonies illustrated by Marcella Hawley. It’s an image that anyone you care about, including your mother, will be sure to cherish. Set measures 4″ by 6″.

This new wreath image was so much fun to color. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with the largest Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The image was colored with Copic Markers ( Peonies: RV10, RV52, RV55, Y21, YR21, YR23   Leaves: G40, G43, G46    Background: BGoooo, BGooo0) and adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Tear Drop Circle die.

A sentiment from the same set was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a smaller circle die. The edges were colored with Copic Marker BG0000. It was adhered into the center of the image with dimensionals.

A 4 3/16″  square of white cardstock was embossed with the new M-Bossabilities folder Elegance. It was stitched to a 4 3/8″ square of light blue cardstock. Ribbon was threaded through one of the Tear drops in the circle before the image was adhered to the center of the layers. The ribbon was then tied into a bow and everything was adhered to a card base, cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.

Gold Smooch Glitz was added to the center of the flowers. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl finish off the card.

I created this card during last weekend’s Virtual Stamp night over at Splitcoaststampers for the Spring is for the Chicks challenge. I thought it was the perfect challenge to combine it with the current JustRite Stampers challenge (Black/White plus one additional color).

I started by stamping the both labels from Vintage Oval Label Cling set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on  Neenah Solar White cardstock. The smaller label was stamped twice. One of the smaller label was cut and embossed with Label 6 Nestabilities dies, the other with the smallest of the Petite Oval large Nestabilities die. The large label was cut and embossed with the largest Label 13 Nestabilities die.  The edges of the layers were sponged with Spun Sugar Distress ink while the dies were still on and then they were layered on top of each other with dimensionals. Fancy That Want2Scrap Border Bling was added to the top and bottom of the smaller label die cut.

Two pieces of Solar White cardstock were cut and embossed with a Lace Doily Motifs die. They were adhered on top of each other and the labels were adhered on top of that.

A piece of MME Lost & Found  Madison Avenue paper was cut and embossed with the Spiral Blossom one die. The edges were  sanded before the flower was rolled.  Frost Smooch Glitz was added to the edges and a large Rhinestone was placed in the flower center. It was adhered to a piece of black Core’dination cardstock that had been cut and embossed with one of  Donna Salazar’s Shadow Flowers dies. Another piece of black cardstock was cut and embossed with a Foliage die. The rolled flower layers were adhered to the lower right corner, the foliage die cut on the upper right.

Another piece of Madison Ave paper was cut and embossed with with a  Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and the layer was stitched to a slightly bigger black square. The layers were adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die. The card base was cut and embossed with the same die. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl on the upper right and lower left corner finish off the card.
