For my sample today I used the darling new Wee Image called Holly. I stamped it in  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock . It was colored with  Copic Markers (Skin: E000, E00, E01, BV00 Hair: Y11, YR21, E43 Scarf/Stockings G40, G43, G46 Shirt/socks/berries: YR15, R05, R08, R27 Pants/socks: E41, E42, E43, E44   Leaves: G21, G24, G28   Branch: E23, E27, E29, E97    Wings: Bg10, BG11   Bells: Y35, Y38, E97    Snow: B000, B000    Ear muffs: W0, W1    Background: C0, C1, BV00) and it was cut and embossed with the largest of the Classic Square SM dies. The square was adhered to kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Label Twenty-Six die.

Vintage Christmas Paper was cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and stitched before it was adhered to white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die. A 2 1/2″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Vintage Christmas paper was sanded and adhered diagonally over the card front. A paper doily was adhered to the lower left corner and the image layers were adhered to the center of the layers with foam adhesive squares.  Glitter was glued over the snow with Glossy Accents, and sparkle was added to the wings with  Frost Smooch Glitz.

Snowflakes were cut and embossed out of white cardstock, stacked with foam adhesive squares and topped with Vintage Glass Glitter Shards. They were added to the edges of the image. Green seam binding was tied into a double bow and topped with a button to be placed to the lower right side of the image.

A sentiment from the new Holiday Notables 2 was stamped in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock. It was cut out and adhered to the lower right of the card front. A piece of Fancy That! Border Bling on the top left finished off the card front. It was then adhered to the card base, white cardstock, folded in half and cut and embossed with the same Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge is called “Let It Snow”. It sure is perfect for where I live. We had our first snow “sprinkles” a few days ago. Today we are supposed to get some more later in the day. For my card I picked Oliver. I really like this little guy. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It! Blending card and colored it with Copic Markers (Penguin: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, C8, YR23, YR24, E97, Hat: YG63, YG67, G28, Marshmellows: E50, E53). The background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B21. Faux Snow and a bit of  Chunky Crystals Crafty Sparkles were added to the bottom of the image.

A frame was cut with Label 8 and curved Rectangle Nestabilities out of and embossed with both dies as well as Canyon Brown Neenah Solar Card Snowflake Impressabilities. With the dies and the Impressabilities template over the frame (that wasn’t easy to hold all three) the frame was sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

A piece of Acetate was taped behind the frame and a mounting tape was added. More Chunky Crystals Crafty Sparkles were added inside the frame an the image was taped behind it to create a shaker.

Beige felt was cut with Create-a-Flake Shapeabilities dies, held together with a Recollection brads and adhered to the frame. The sentiment is from Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Holiday Sentiments. It was stamped on Natural White Neenah cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, cut and embossed with the Five Tag Spellbinders die and airbrushed with Copic Marker E51. It was topped with a small felt snowflake cut with Create-a-Flake Shapeabilities die and topped with another Recollection brad.

The card base is a 4 5/8″ x 11 3/4″ piece of textured Kraft cardstock folded in half. A 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Merry Christmas Echo Park paper was stitched to a 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper series. The long side of a 4″ long beige felt strip was cut with the Label 8 Nestabilities and adhered to the horizontal paper strip. May Arts Crochet Lace was adhered over the lower straight edge of the felt.

The shaker piece was adhered to the center of the card base with dimensionals and the sentiment was adhered to the left hand side of that.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs and smiles

For my sample today I used the new Sparky the Snowman Cling stamp set. I love how the new cling stamps stamp. I stamped the snowman in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It! Blending card and colored it with Copic Markers (hat/broom stick: E57, E59, E49, broom top: Y23, Y26, Y28, E33, Cardinal: R08, R27, R29, R39, YR24, C7, Scarf, Mitten: Rv10, RV13, RV14, Jacket: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, Snow: B0000, B000, B00, Trees: YG63, YG67, G28). I colored over the snow with a clear Spica pen and cut out the snowman.

I used the largest of the three JustRite Stampers Acrylic blocks and inked it up with Spun Sugar, then the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress ink. Next I sprayed the block with water from my Mini Mister and then stamped it on a 3 3/4″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Snowflakes from the Sparky set were stamped over the background with Spun Sugar ink.  The layer was stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Core’dination cardstock folded in half. The sentiment is also from the Sparky set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the left hand side of the background. Sparky was adhered over the background in dimensionals. To finish the card I added two small snowflake cut and embossed with the Snowflake Borderabilities. They were topped with Dew Drops.

This background technique has been popping up all over the internet. Lydia told me about it first after she had made a card with it during a SCS shoe box swap from Lisa Spangler. I thought it would be fun to have a tutorial for it on Splitcoast. You can check it out here.
