For my card I stamped the new Wee Image Angie in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with the second largest Romantic Rectangle die (Oh yeah! I got new dies and I am loving it!!!). The image was colored with  Copic Markers (Skin: YR0000, YR000, YR00, BV000    Hair: E97, E99, E09, E39, E29     Wings: C00, C1, C3    Bow, ladybug: R00, R01, R02, R05). The image was masked, cloud masks and the die were added and the inner part was  airbrushed with Copic Marker B02. Shading was added to the clouds with Copic Markers (W00, W0, W1).

A 2 1/4″ wide strip of Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee Patterned Paper was adhered to a piece of the same paper pack. It was cut with the largest Romantic Rectangle die. The edges were sanded and the piece was cut down at the embossed line. The edges were then stitched and May Arts ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery floss.

The layer was adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the same Romantic Rectangle die. The image was adhered to the center of the card front with dimensionals. A piece of Fancy That! Border Bling was adhered over the image.  The card base was cut out of white cardstock with the same die and the card front was adhered over it, to hide the card hinge.

A sentiment from Thank you Tabs 1. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut out and and adhered under the lower left corner. Two Wild Orchard Flowers were adhered above and underneath the sentiment panel.  A small piece of a  Finesse Swirl was adhered next to the lower flower and two small rhinestones were added to the main image. Frost Smooch Glitz on the angel wings finish off the card.

Today’s Timeless Tuesday challenge hostess is Silke. She created a great sketch for us. For my sample I pulled out the Hyacinth Hello stamp set. I hadn’t used the image with the flower in the vase yet and thought it was perfect for this time of the year (with a bit of wishful thinking…).

The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was colored with Copic Markers ( Petals: Rooo, R00, R01, R02, T2, T3    Leaves: G20, YG01, G21, YG63    Bulb: E30, E31, E33   Water: B41, B0000) and cut out. A piece of Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden paper was cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and the circle was stitched to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Tear Drop Circle Nestabilities die.

Another piece of Pink Paislee paper was cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.  The edges of two 1 3/4″ x 4″ strips of green patterned paper of the same paper pack were sanded, then stitched, then adhered to  the square layers vertically. Two more strips were cut, sanded and stitched and adhered over the layers horizontally.

Organdy Ribbon was tied through the Tear Drop pieces before the image layers were adhered to the card base with dimensionals. A sentiment from the Hyacinth Hello in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the retired 5 in 1 Tag die. The inner part of the tag was colored with Copic Markers (R000, R00, R01, R02) and tiny Stardust Stickles dots were added. The tag was tied to the bow with embroidery thread. The same thread tied an October Afternoon button over the bow.

More Stardust Stickles was added to the center of the flower petals. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl were adhered to the top left and button right corners and additional Rhinestones on the upper left hand side finish off the card.

Last newsletter we ran Cami’s Trifold Card as “From the Archives” tutorial. Cambria Turnbow started using the slot punch from Stampin’ Up! years ago to hold folds from a trifold down…hence the name.

For my sample I chose Bella’s Ketto Phoebe image. My way of celebrating that Stamping Bella is back as a Member Company on Splitcoaststampers. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E50, E51, E53   Hair: C5, C7, C9   Wings: R000, R00   Dress: Y13, Y15, Y17    Hearts: YR07, R08, R27, R39   Leaves/grass: YG11, YG13, YG17   Background: B0000, B000). The image was adhered to a piece of back cardstock, cut and embossed with a Standard Scallop Circle Nestabilities die.

The trifold part was created out of a 5″ x 11 5/8″ piece of textured white cardstock. The strip was scored at  3 3/4″ and 7 1/2″ and the corners were rounded. A 3/8″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Echo Park Little Girl Patterned Paper was adhered to a 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of paper from the same paper pack. The bottom corners were rounded and the edges were stitched before they were adhered to the card base.

A window was cut into the card front with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die and a frame cut with the same die and the second largest Beaded Circle Nestabilities die out of black cardstock. The frame was adhered over the window with dimensionals. Rhinestones from the 72 Count Rhinestone pack were added to the beaded circle frame and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered to the upper right corner.

The slot punch (unfortunately retired now) was used on the lower part of the left edge and a brad from Stampin’ Up! was added over it. The layers were adhered to a 1/4″ bigger piece of black cardstock. A sentiment from the new Whimsy Stamp set Thank You Tabs was stamped in Jet Black Archival ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut out and adhered to the next to the flower brad.

Here is another sample I made with the new JustRite Stampers CHA release stamp sets. This time I used the beautiful Stardust Medallion stamp set.

I stamped the medallion image two times; once on a piece of MME Lost & Found Union Square patterned paper, once on a piece of Kraft cardstock with Embossing Ink. The images were embossed with white embossing powder. The patterned paper pieces were cut apart, the Kraft piece cut and embossed with the new Nested Medallion Label die.  The patterned paper pieces were adhered to the Kraft layer and topped with pieces of Baby Bling Rhinestones.

A 2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of Union Square was adhered to a 2 1/2″ x 5″ piece of the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of white cardstock. Half a paper doily was adhered to the left side of the layers and Seam binding was tied around the horizontal strip. The bow was topped with a Paper Trellis Rose and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered over the paper doily.

A sentiment from the set was stamped on a piece of white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a retired tag die. The embossed part was sponged with Old Paper Distress ink and the medallion was stamped over it in the same color. The tag was tied to the bow and the layers were adhered to the card base, a 3″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.

I wish you all a wonderful day, filled with family and friends, turkey and football (well…if you like football).

I created this card to send to my In-Laws. I love the new JustRite Stampers Autumn Label 22 Stamp set and knew I wanted to use it for my Thanksgiving card.

I stamped the biggest image twice in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I cut and embossed one of the images with the Label 22 Nestabilities die. From the other I cut the pumpkin image out. The images were colored with Copic Markers (Pumpkin: Y17, YR15, YR18   Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG63, YG67   Stem, Frame top/bottom: E97, E99, E37   Stripes/words: YR30, 1/5th YR31, YR31) and the pumpkin image was adhered to the complete image with dimensionals. Both layers were adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown Cardstock, cut and embossed with a Lace Doily Accent die.

A 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ strip of MME Lost &Found 2 Breeze paper was adhered to a 4 1/2″ square from the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock. Antique Gold Organdy Ribbon was threaded through one of the Lace Doily holes before the image layers were adhered to the card front layers with dimensionals. The ribbon was tied into a bow and topped with fancy Brad bought at Hobby Lobby.

The layers were adhered to the card base, a piece of Kraft cardstock cut and embossed with one of the Grand Scalloped Square Nestabilities dies. Baby Bling Creme Pearls finish off the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving day and weekend!

When I first saw Lori’s sketch, I wasn’t so sure I would like it.

wsc89doodles.jpg

I don’t know what you guys do when you see a sketch, but me, I start doodling extra layers and scallops and what not until I have an idea on how my finished image might look like.

Then I pick colors, then the sets. Once my doodling was done, I knew I would like the card that would come out of the sketch. I knew right away that I wanted to add the Medallion background as backdrop for this card. I have been itching to use this stamp.

Colors, colors were harder. I wanted to play with the new in-colors, but their vibrance still scare me. So I just picked Soft Suede with Melon Mambo. I toned it even more down with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla and was ready to go. I tell you…the hardest part was picking a sentiment that would work with the sketch as well as the Medallion.

mambomedallionwsc89beate.jpg

The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock piece folded in half.

Next comes a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla. All four corners were punched with the ticket corner punch.

The 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Melon Mambo was stamped with the Medallion background stamp in Melon Mambo. Again all four corners were punched with the ticket corner punch.

I adhered the Melon piece to the Vanilla layer and paper pierced a border. Next I taped a 1 1/8″ x 5 1/4″ strip of Very Vanilla for my horizontal layer after punching it with the Eyelet Border punch. Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon was tied above the strip.

The Chocolate Chip rectangle in the center measures 3″ x 3 1/2″ and was topped with a 3/8″ smaller piece of Soft Suede Pattern Designer Paper. I paper pierced all four corners and attached the layers to the card base Vanilla/Mambo layers with dimensionals.

For the sentiment I chose a saying from the set Full of Life. I stamped it in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla Cardstock and stamped the Medallion background over it in 3rd generation Melon Mambo. It was cut out with Oval Nestabilities and layered on a slightly bigger scalloped Oval in Chocolate chip. These layers were attached to the center rectangle with dimensionals.

To finish off the card front, I added three brads from the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware kit to the right side of the card.

mambomedallioninsidewsc89.jpg

As always, the inside of the card mirrors the card front.

I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla and a 1/4″ smaller piece of Melon Mambo to the inside.

Both layers were punched with the ticket corner punch.

The horizontal strip measured 1 1/4″ x 5″ and was punched with the Eyelet border punch.

A 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Soft Suede Pattern Designer Paper was taped above it.

Now that I see the card uploaded, I think with a different sentiment, it would make a great unconventional Christmas Card.

Have a great weekend. Hugs and smiles
