Hi all and welcome to the final day of Flourishes’ Release Week!

On to today’s special treat! This next set is just that — a sweet treat for those you love! Want to see what I mean??

Introducing….

Love, Sweet Love offers a sweet way to honor your Valentine! From a cookie bouquet to a beautiful box of chocolates, to a basket of flowers complete with a darling, heart-adorned love note, this set illustrated by Marcella Hawley is sure to warm your heart. This 4 by 6″ set even comes with 3 beautifully scripted sentiments to tell your love how you feel! The Flourishes DT has been busy at work trying to sweeten up some Valentine creations with this set!

For my sample today I used the basket image from Love, Sweet Love. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Letter: E40, E442, R08, R29, R39, Lipstick Spica pen   Tulips: Y13, Y15, Y18, YR15 , YG11, YG13, YG17   Lavendar: RV63, RV55, RV66   Basket: E42, E43, E44, E47   Ground: W3, W5, W7, W10    Sky: B0000, B000) and adhered to a Paper Doily.

A 1 3/4″ x 5″ strip of Echo Park Springtime Paper was adhered to a 5″ square of the same paper pack. The paper was cut and embossed with a Grand Circle Nestabilities die and stitched to a slightly bigger, hand-cut white cardstock circle. White Organdy Ribbon was colored with Copic Marker RV55 and tied around the vertical strip. The bow was topped with a white button, tied on with silver curling ribbon. The image layers were adhered over the layers with dimensionals.

A sentiment from the new set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the smallest Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The embossed part was colored with Copic Marker B0000. The sentiment was adhered to the upper left of the image.

Rhinestones were added underneath the sentiment and part of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl above the bow. The layers were adhered to the card base, Kraft cardstock cut and embossed with a Grand Scalloped Circle Nestabilities die.

It’s day two of the sneak peeks for Flourishes’ January Release and I got to play along with the release sets! This next set is about creating a note or two for those friends that you truly care about — both near and far! The good news is, while these sentiments are from the heart, their messages are good not only for Valentine’s Day, but the whole year through!

Introducing…

This 4 by 3″ set — called Heartlines — is a perfect addition to any of Flourishes images to send some love this Valentine’s Day! Four artistically scripted sentiments perfect for friends and Valentines! This set even offers a darling row of hearts to add as a border, box or accent! Flourishes’ ever-so-talented design team has showed off this set in true creative form!

For my card I stamped a sentiment from Heartlines in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The solid heart from Fanciful Flourishes was stamped over the sentiment with Spun Sugar Distress ink. The outline words were colored with Copic Markers (R32, R35, R37).

The circle was adhered to a slightly darker black cardstock circle. Both circles were adhered to a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, cut and embossed with a big Scalloped Circle Nestabilities die. Everything was adhered to a piece of white cardstock cut and embossed with the Fair Isle Pendant die. Pink Baby Bling Rhinestones were adhered to the Fair Isle die cut and Stardust Stickles was added over the colored letters.

Two 4″ wide strips of MME Lost & Found 2 Blush paper were stitched over a 4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of the same paper pack after the two bottom corners were rounded. White Organdy Ribbon was tied around the strips before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. The sentiment layers were adhered in the card center with dimensionals. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl to the upper right corner of the card base.

Today Timeless Tuesday hostess is Tammy. She challenged us to be inspired by this photo.

For my card I knew I wanted to use Pink and Orange as the main colors with a bit of grey from the planter. I started by stamping the heart from the soon to be released From the Heart stamp set in Embossing Ink on a piece of Echo Park Victoria Garden Patterned Paper. The heart was cut and embossed with a Classic Heart Nestabilities die and adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Scalloped Heart die.

Next I stamped the scroll image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Solar White cardstock. A sentiment was stamped inside the scroll before it was colored with Copic Markers (YR00, YR01, YR02, YR04) and cut out. The scroll was adhered to the center of the heart with dimensionals.

The card base is a piece of 4 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ white cardstock folded in half. The card front was embossed with the Brocade Embossing Folder and the bottom corners were rounded. The edges of a 1 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ strip of Victoria Gardens Paper were stitched before the paper was adhered to the left hand side of the card front. White organdy Ribbon was tied around the front and parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl were adhered to the upper right and lower left of the card base. The heart was adhered over the ribbon and a button was tied on over the bow with dimensionals.

Today’s tutorial on Splitcoaststampers is created by Monique Trappeniers. She shows us how to create a Six Fold Card. I used the technique to create a sample for today’s Whiff of Joy Challenge, which is to use Charms or Bling. Since I love Bling, I went with Bling.

I started by stamping Henry with Heart in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The image was cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers (Henry: E30, E31, E33, E00, E93, E95   Heart: YG21, YG23, YG17   Ground: W3, W5, W7   Sky: B0000, B000). The circle was adhered to a piece of brown cardstock, cut and embossed with a Lacy Circle Nestabilities die. The edges of the image circle were paper pierced.

The card base was created out of textured Espresso cardstock and decorated with Echo Park Victoria Garden Patterned Paper. The card base measures 4″ square when folded. I cut a 3 3/4″ square of white cardstock and a 3 1/2″ square of patterned paper. Pieces of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl were adhered to the top left and bottom right of the card front and brown Organdy ribbon was used to tie the card shut. The image layer was adhered to one part of the card front with dimensionals.

A sentiment from Elisabeth Bell Accessories and Sentiments was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest Petite Oval Nestabilities die.  The center was colored with Copic Marker B0000 and the sentiment was adhered to the lower left of the image circle.

When you open the diagonal panels, you will find two horizontal strips that were also lined with Victoria Gardens paper. You fold those layers down…

to unveil the inside panel of the card. The front horizontal strip has two little gatefold doors that can be unfolded as well.

Today’s Timeless Tuesday challenge hostess is Mona Pendleton. Her challenge is to create a Trifold card. There are a lot of different tri-fold cards to choose one. I selected the Triangle Trifold.

I created the base out of a 4″ x 12″ piece of white cardstock. A piece of  Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Beaded Square Nestabilities die  and cut diagonally. A 3 3/4″ square of Basic Grey cardstock  and a 3 1/2″ piece of Echo Park Yours Truly patterned paper were cut in half as well and stitched together. The layers were first adhered over the scalloped triangles, then over the card base fronts.

The sold heart from Fanciful Flourishes was stamped in Spun Sugar Distress ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut out. The flourished heart was stamped over the solid one in Fired Brick Distress ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder (Stampin’ Up!). The heart was adhered to another piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the second largest Beaded Circle Nestabilities die. Pink and Red Baby Bling were adhered to the beaded parts of the circle.

White Organdy ribbon was tied around the card base to keep it shut. The image layers were adhered above one part of the card front with dimensionals after parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered to the upper right and lower left of the card. A sentiment from Fanciful Flourishes was stamped in London Fog Memento Ink on a piece of cardstock, cut and embossed with a retired tag die. The inside part of the tag was sponged with Spun Sugar before the tag was adhered slightly under the heart.

The inside panel of the card base was decorated to match the outside. I hope you have time participate in the challenge. Like I said, there are lots of different trifold cards out there and they are all not hard. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge is to create a tag. I changed it up just a little bit and created a Tag card. I started by folding 12″ textured Kraft cardstock in half and cut a tag card base with  Tim’s large tag die.

A 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Love Me Patterned Paper was adhered to a 2 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ piece from the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Seam Binding was tied around the horizontal strip. The bow was topped with a button that was tied on with silver cord. That silver cord tied on a tiny tag with part of one of the sentiments from the new Lots of Love 2 set stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The embossed part of the tag was colored with Copic Markers 1/5th YR31 (mixed 1/5th of YR31 refill with 4/5th of Blending solution in an empty marker).

Part of a paper doily was adhered to the left side of the layers and topped with the Cupic from Lots of Love 2. It had been stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock, colored with Copics (Skin: E50, E51, E53   Hair: YR31, E97, E99, E31    Eyes/Wings: BG0000, BG000, BG01    Hearts: R22, R27, R39   Bow: E30, E31, E33, C0, C1, C3) and cut out. The wings were covered with Stardust Stickles .

The layers were adhered to the tag base and dressed up with part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and additional Rhinestones.
A small slit was cut at the card fold and seam binding was threaded through there and the tag hole.

The inside of the tag was kept pretty simple. Just a white layer along with more Love me paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.
