Wow, Beate! The Easter Bunny is early this year! Thanks so much for the chance to win! I don’t have any of these in my stash, and would be excited to have them! Have a great weekend!

Kathy, please contact me because this widget doesn’t let me see email address nor url that was posted in. Needless to say I won’t be using that Mr. Linky anymore. I will wait until next Saturday. If I don’t hear from Kathy until then, I will pick another winner.

Thanks so much for everyone willing to give my older stamps a new home. Have a great day!

This time I will be giving away a few retired JustRite Stampers sets that I hardly use. I hope they can find a better home with one of you. I will be giving away:

  • 3 1/4″ circle Christmas Stamp Ensemble (sample can be seen here)
  • 3 1/4″  Classic Circle III Ensemble (sample can be seen here)
  • Large oval Harmony Stamp Ensemble (sample can be seen here)
  • Large oval Baby Ensemble (no sample, sorry)
  • DIY Monogram Stamper Kit with New Times Roman Alphabet and 3 damask borders, plus wooden stamp mount
  • DIY Monogram Stamper Kit with Curlz Alphabet, 3 borders and wooden stamp mount
  • Medium/Large Numbers set
  • 2 1/4″ x 3 1/16″ Oval stamp mount for the oval sets
  • 3 1/4″ wooden circle mount for circular sets

These older JustRite Stamps need a bit of conditioning before stamping them for the first time. You can find a quick tutorial about that HERE.

These goodies are heavy and I will send them in a medium flat rate box. If you are from outside the US and you want to enter the drawing, you would have to pay shipping over the amount it would cost me to send it to someone in the States.

If you are interested in these sets, just add a link or email address (or both) to this Mr. Linky. I upgraded my account with Mr. Linky so everyone can enter the drawing.

The drawing is now closed. Thank you all for your comments.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Hugs and smiles

Sorry I didn’t pick a winner last evening. I totally forgot. I used Random.org and it picked #60. That’s Cheryl P.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving comments. I appreciate it A LOT! Sorry to all that didn’t win. There will be another Blog candy at the end of the month. Good luck then!

Beate

I have decided to have a little blog candy every last day of the month for a while. I usually only use newly released stamps and have all these older stamps which could need some love. This month I will give away two older Unity Kit of the Month kits,

as well as a pack of Maya Roads chipboard flowers and some May Arts Ribbon. If you don’t have those stamps yet and would like to give them a new home, just add your blog link to the Mr. Link underneath. If you don’t have a blog, you can also use the direct link to your splitcoast gallery (https://splitcoaststampers.com/go/username). You don’t have to actually have a gallery, you just have to be a member to be able to use that link. AND…..if you aren’t a member yet, it’s easy and free to join.

I will pick a winner randomly with random.org Wednesday evening. Good luck!

oclvintagetravelercopicblog.jpg

For my card I started out by stamping the Eiffel Tower in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut with Deckled Long Nestabilities  and colored with Copic Markers (C1, C3, C5, B21, B0000). A 3/8″ wide strip of Webster’s Pages patterned paper was adhered under the image and gray Taffeta Ribbon (Stampin’ Up!) was tied around it. The deckled layer was adhered to a black scallope rectangle cut with Long Scallop Nestabilities. The top of an Antique Brad (Stampin’ Up!) was colored with C5 Copic Marker and added over the knot of the ribbon.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. A 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Webster’s Pages was adhered to the base.  To make the card fit for today’s OCL’s sketch challenge, I stamped 2 1/2 tickets from the same set on a white cardstock strip, colored it with B21 and B0000 Markers and distressed the edges. On top of that strip I added a 7/8″ wide strip of Webster’s Pages pages. I used the same paper to cut a partial 1 1/4″ circle. That was taped on the top left of the card base and topped with a white Basic Grey button.

oclvintagetravelercopicinsi.jpg

The inside of the card is kept pretty simple. A 1 3/4″ x 3 4/5″ piece of the Webster’s pages paper from the front was adhered to the lower half of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. Another ticket was stamped on the green accent paper that was also used on the front, cut out and colored with the light blue markers.

If you would like to see another sample I made with the new Art of Nature set, check this blog post from last Saturday.

Have fun blog hopping and good luck on winning one of the new sets. You have until Sunday 3 p.m. EST to post comments. Winners will be chosen randomly. Make sure you leave your email address with your comment so we can reach you in case you win.

Today is a BIG day! Our Craft Lounge‘s new sets are released today and to celebrate that there will be a blog hop. Make sure you visit each blog and leave a comment. You can win one of the new sets on each blog!!! The blog hop ends at midnight CST.

love-notes.jpg

You can win the set Love Notes on my blog. I love that set. The swirl, the backgrounds, the gorgeous hearts….I love them all.

For my sample, I created a matchbook candy holder. I missed making a sample for this great tutorial Theresa wrote during our Holiday Blitz. Surprise, surprise…..I used Chocolate Chip cardstock as my matchbook holder base. The edges were sponged with Walnut Stain ink.

oclmatchbookbeate.jpg

The 2 1/4″ square of Sundress paper was distressed, sponged with Vintage photo ink and sewn to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Vanilla Cardstock that had been sponged as well. A 1 1/8″ x 1 1/2″ piece of Coastal – Curious Double Take paper was distressed, sponged and adhered to the left hand side. Small clear Kaiser Rhinestones were added. The layers were attached to the matchbook with Scor-Tape.

Cream Taffeta Ribbon was tied around the matchbook. Next I punched a scalloped circleout of Chocolate Chip cardstock and sponged the edges. I attached it over the ribbon and small paper piece with dimensionals. For the circle center, I stamped the solid background of Love Notes in second generation Vintage Photo, then added the script background in full Vintage Photo. I punched out a 1 3/8″ circle, distressed the edges and sponged them with Vintage Photo. Last I added a stitched edge.

I stamped the heart in Walnut Stain, cut it out, sponged it first with Fired Brick, then with Walnut Stain ink. I attached it with dimensionals over my circle, then added Crystal Effect and sprinkled Dazzling Diamond Glitter over it. The sentiment is from the new set The Journey. It was stamped in Walnut stain, punched out with the small oval punch and sponged with Vintage Photo ink.

oclmbookinsidebottom.jpg

I covered the side behind the pocket with Vanilla/Sundress layers that mirrored the ones on the front. The pocket was covered with a piece of Coastal – Curious Double Take paper. Three Clear Circle Rhinestone Bradshold the pocket to the matchbook (along with more Scor-Tape). I punched out a half circle out of the top of the pocket with the 3/4″ circle punch to make it easier to get to the chocolate. 🙂

oclmbookinsidetop.jpg

The inside top flap was layered with a 2 3/4″ square of Very Vanilla cardstock. It had been sponged with Vintage Photo ink. The swirl from Love Notes was stamped randomly on the edges with the same ink. A 5/8″ x 2 3/4″ strip of the Coastal paper was added to the lower edge of the square and partly sewn on.

A small heart was stamped, colored and treated like the big heart in the front and adhered to the flap with dimensionals to finish it off. Please excuse the bad quality of my pictures. It was dark when I took them. I usually only photograph with natural light. But the last few days it was hard since it starting getting dark around 4:30 p.m. I miss the South!
