I am excited to be a Guest Designer for Little Darlings new rubber stamp release. I stamped the image called Snowy Friends in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E0000, E00, R20 Hair: E99, E37, E29 Pants: E42, E43, E44 Jacket: G0000, G00, G00 Shoes: R24, R27, R39 Hat: YR15, Y18, R24, R28 Snowman Scarf: G03, G05, G07 Snowman hat: C3, C5, C7, C9 Branch: E25, E29 Eyes: E99, E39, E27).

The image was masked and two cloud masks were added before the circle was airbrushed with Copic Marker B41. The bottom was covered with Polar White Flower Soft.   The bottom of the clouds were colored with Copic Markers (W00, W0, W1). The layer was adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown Cardstock, cut and embossed with a Big Scalloped Circle Nestabilities die.

A white paper strip was cut with MFT’s  new Icicle Border die. It was adhered under a 4″ square of Echo Park Holly Jolly Paper and a slim strip of white cardstock was adhered on top. The layers were stitched to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Holly Jolly paper. The bottom two corners were rounded and white organdy ribbon was tied around the horizontal layers before the image was adhered with dimensionals.

Two snowflakes were cut out of white cardstock with Whimsy Layered Snowflake die, stacked and topped with a brad, that had been colored with Copic Marker G02. The snowflake was adhered to the upper right edge of the layers, part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl to the top right.

Another snowflake was cut with the smallest of the MFT Snowflakes die-namic dies. It was adhered to the top of the bow with Glossy Accents. A Baby Bling Rhinestone was adhered in the center of the snowflake.

A sentiment from The Cats Pajama’s Bearing Flowers was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. It was airbrushed with Copic Marker B41 and adhered to the lower right  of the image.

The Cat’s Pajamas Tuesday challenge as well as the next challenge on Moxie Fab World is to use Felt on your project. I decided to create a scene with it. I cut grass, clouds and a flower with TCP’s CutUp dies and the background with the smallest Classic Square Grand Nestabilities die.

The background, the clouds and one grass layer were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of white cardstock. A second grass layer was adhered over the first one. The flower was taped to the left side of the grass layers and topped with an orange Want2Scrap Rhinestone.

The girl is from the set Wet Puddle. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar white cardstock. It was colored with Copic Markers (jacket: Y13, Y15, Y17, W2   boots: R24, R27, R39   skin: E000, E01, E11   Hair: YR31, E33, E37) and cut out. The raincoat and boots were covered in Glossy Accents. Once it dried, it was adhered to the scene with dimensionals.

Another row of clouds was cut out of white cardstock. One cloud was cut out and a sentiment of the set was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink in its center.

For the inside of the card two pieces of grass were cut out of Echo Park Country Drive patterned paper, clouds out of the blue felt I had used on the front for the background. The pieces were stitched to a 3 7/8″ square of white cardstock.

I love The Cat’s Pajama stamps. I need to use them more.  I love the cute characters and the hilarious sentiments! I had stamped and colored this cute bunny from Kick some Grass at the CHA Supershow. Once I got home I cut and embossed the image with a Classic Circle die and the out of the box technique. It layered it on a piece of black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Scallop Circle die and paper pierced the edges.

A strip of Echo Park Country Drive paper was cut with TCP’s grass die. The strip as well as another 1″ x 4 1/4″ strip of Country Charm paper were stitched to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the same paper pack. The top two corners were rounded. The image layers were slipped under the grass strip  and adhered to the image layers with dimensionals. White Organdy Ribbon was tied over the paper strips before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock folded in half.

A piece of Solar White cardstock was cut with TCP’s cloud die. The clouds were cut apart and one of the sentiments from Kick some Grass was stamped on the clouds with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  the edges of the clouds were sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress inks, adhered with dimensionals and covered with Stardust Stickles. Orange Rhinestones on the upper right and lower left finish off the card.

This weeks Sweet Stop Challenge was a fun one. I hope you have time to play. I had this cutie image half colored laying around my stamp room for over a month. It was perfect for the oval image panel for this sketch.

The image is from Mo’s Digital Pencil and is called Birthday Fairy. It was printed out on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities dies and colored with Copic Markers (Skirt: Y11, Y13, Y15     Top: R11, R12, R14, BG10, BG11, BG13    Wings: BG0000, BG000   Cupcake: E31, E33, E34, R11, R12, R14    Hair: Y21, Y23, E33    Skin: E000, E01, E02     Ground: C3, C5, C7, C9       Background: B0000, B000, B12).

The oval was adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with a Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The wings were covered in Stardust Stickles, the Cupcake with Yellow, Orange Peel and Stardust Stickles.

A 5″ long strip of white cardstock was cut and embossed with the border die from Flower Doily Accents.  It was adhered underneath a 2 3/8″ x 5″ piece of  Echo Park 6″ x 6″ Walk in the Park paper. The layers were adhered to a 5″ square of the same paper pack that had been stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock. All layers were adhered to a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.

A piece of Melissa Frances white ribbon was adhered on the lower part of a  3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Walk in the park paper. The paper was stitched to a slightly bigger piece of Kraft cardstock before the layers were adhered to the card base. The image layers were adhered over that with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from The Cat’s Pajamas Birthday Bunny set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and layered on a slightly bigger strip of Kraft cardstock.

Tissue paper was cut with a flower die from the Flower Doily Accent die set and topped with a Rhinestone brad. It was attached to the upper right hand side of the image layers. A Recollection Rhinestone swirl was adhered next to it.

The blue flower is from Prima, the white flower on the lower left corner is from Zva creative. They finish off the birthday card.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful day!

Isn’t that the cutest image. Okay, so I am partial to fairies, gnomes and mushrooms. But really? I think everyone has to love this image from Meljen. It’s available at Whimsy stamps as a digi image and is called Toadstool Buggies.

Unfortunately I still didn’t have my laser jet printer yet when I created this card. You can see some slight smearing happened when I colored the image with my Copics (Mushroom tops: R24, R27, R29, R39, Mushroom stem: E41, E42, E43, Leaf, grass: YG01, YG03, YG17, Bees: Y13, Y15, Y17, Y38, E13, E15, E17, E19, Flowers/ladybug: R05, R08, E09, Other flower: Y15, Y17, Y38, Vo4, V06, BG10, BG11, BG13, Background: BG0000. BG10). The image was cut with the largest Rectangle Nestabilities die, layered on a 3/16″ bigger piece of Basic black cardstock  and three edges were paper pierced.

For the layout I chose last week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch. The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half.

A 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Fine and Dandy patterned paper was stitched to a 3/16″ piece of black cardstock. Melissa Frances white lace was adhered around the layers.  Avocado Linen Ribbon was tied slightly over it and topped with a My Mind’s Eye button.

The sentiment is from The Cat’s Pajamas set Tweet Heart. It was stamped on a small tag in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The tag had been cut and embossed with a Spellbinders die out of Neenah Solar White cardstock and was colored with Copic Marker BG0000. It was adhered to the lower right hand side of the image panel. Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones on the end of the tag as well as the top left finish off the card.

I just received my order from the newest The Cat’s Pajama release stamps in the mail and had to try it out right away. Yesterday was a mini VSN over on SCS. One of the challenges posted was to create a two layer card with an uplifting message. We had to use Tan somewhere on the card.

If I don’t see sunshine every so often, I get all mopey. So the sentiment I used on this card would definitely cheer me up.

I stamped the girl from Spring Rain on Express It! Blending card in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut and embossed it with Petite Oval Nestabilities. Next I colored the image with Copic Markers (Boots, Coat, Umbrella Shading: R05, R08, R27, Sweater, Chicks: Y32, Y38, Skirt: E42, E43, E44, Hair: E33, E35, E25, E29, Skin: E00, E01, E11, Grass: YG23, YG25, YG17), masked the girl and chicks and airbrushed the background with Copic Marker BG01. I added a few grass blades with a Prismacolor Pencil.

I stamped the umbrella on Cosmo Crickets Garden Variety paper, cut it out and shaded it with Copic markers before adhering it over my main image.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock. It was folded in half and the edges were cut with the W R Memory Keepers Cropadile Corner Chomper, and the card front was embossed with Provo Craft’s Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

A 2″ x 4 1/4″ strip of Garden Variety paper was adhered to the card base and the sentiment from Spring Rain was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the lower right hand corner. May Arts black gingham ribbon was tied around the upper edge of the paper strip and topped with a Basic Grey button to finish off my card.

Boy, I can’t tell you how hard it is for me to make a two layer card. I hope you have a wonderful day! I am afraid to go out. This morning it was MINUS 4 degrees, it’s now a whopping 14. BRRRRRR…..just a bit too cold for me.

When I received The Cat’s Pajamas set Who’s This?, I thought it would be perfect to create a Masking sample for the video tutorial for that technique.  I stamped my mask images on Eclipse tape and cut them out slightly inside the stamped lines.

tcphootmaskedcloseup.jpg

I stamped the images in Tuxedo Memento Ink on a  3 1/2” square of X-Press It Blending Card. It was cut and embossed with a slightly smaller Classic Square Nestabilities die (okay…I meant to just emboss a frame into it, but goofed and put the embossing mat on the wrong side. Typical Beate move!). The image was colored with Copic Markers (Coat: N3, N5, N7 Coat cuff: E40, E41, E43 Scarf: N3, N5, YG05, YG17 Hair: Y11, Y21, E97, E99, Owl: E41, E43, E44, E47 Beak and Feet: Y21, E97 Jeans: B93, B95, B97 Boots, Mitten, Ear Muffs: R24, R27, R29 stippled bushes:  YG05, YG17, G28 Ground: E41, E43, E44). The sky was airbrushed with B91.  The image was layered on a black scalloped cardstock square cut with Classic Square Nestabilities.

tcphootmaskingbush.jpg

A 2 ½” x 3” piece of Wanted Cosmo Cricket Paper was adhered to a 4 ¾” square from the same paper pack. The edges were sanded before the square as stitched to a 3/16” bigger piece of Black cardstock.  That was adhered to the card base, a 5 ¼” x 10 ½” piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half.

I tied a bow with May Arts Red Gingham ribbon and topped it with a Cosmo Cricket buton. It was adhered to the right hand side of the image. Champagne Kaisercraft Pearls finish on the top right corner finish off the card front.

The card base is kept very simple. 1 ¼” x 4 ¾” piece of the striped Wanted paper from the front was adhered to a 4 ¾” piece of White cardstock. That was stitched to a 3/16” bigger cardstock piece which was adhered to the inside of the card.

I created this card for the Free For All Challenge on Splitcoast last week. We were to use a stamp set with a pun sentiment. I knew right away that I wanted to use The Cat’s Pajamas stamps for that. TCP has the funniest sentiments.

I picket the stamp set Mwah! and stamped the Dracula in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It Blending card. That cardstock is really growing on me. It blends well and the ink doesn’t feather. That’s pretty SWEET! I just bought a whole ream at Ellen Hutson’s store. I was excited to see that she got it in.

The image was cut with Label 1 Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers (Cape and hair: N5, N7, N9 Collar: R24, R39 Skin: W1, W3, Shirt: N0, N1, N3 Grass BG93, BG96. The background was airbrushed with BG72. Before the layer was attached to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Lacey Square Nestabilities die.

tcpdraculardefrightfulf4a30.jpg

The card base is a 5 ¼” x 10 ½” piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock folded in half. A 2” x 4 ¾” strip of Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket paper was adhered over a white cardstock strip cut with Inside Pinking die from The Cat’s Pajamas.  The edges of a 4 ¾” piece of Mitten Weather Cosmo paper were sanded and the paper strip was adhered over the lower half of the square. It was then stitched to a 3/16” bigger piece of black cardstock. ¼” wide May Arts Silk Ribbon was colored with R39 marker, then tied around the layers and topped with a Recollections Brad (Michaels). Red Kaisercraft Rhinestones on two of the image edges finish off the card.

P.S.: I am sorry I was not visiting and commenting on blogs. My internet is out and Time Warner won’t come out to check it out until Wednesday. Not happy with my Internet provider here. The internet goes out EVERY month, but usually at least they can come out earlier. Working at Chick-Fil-A for now.

Today is the release day of The Cat’s Pyjama’s new stamp sets. They are super cute!!! To introduce all the news stamps, there is a blog hop going on! I love blog hops!!! If you came from Susan’s blog, you are right on track. Next in the line up is Ana.

Check out this darling witch from the stamp set Witchy. I used her to create a card for today’s TCP Tuesday challenge as well as for last week’s color challenge. The TCP challenge is to use plaid on your project. I looked high and low in my paper stash. Thank goodness I had one sheet of plaid paper from the My Mind’s Eye Laundry Line. If you participate in the TCP Tuesday challenge you might win $25 in Cat’s Cash. That will come in handy because you might “need” some of these new stamps.

I stamped the witch in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Xpress-it blending paper and colored her with Copic Markers (hat and cloak: C3, C5, C7, C9, cat: YR21, YR65, YR68, Skin: E0000, E01, Pants and hat trim: V12, V15, V17, hair: E13, E19, E26, grass: YG03, YG05). The image was cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities and layered on a slightly bigger black circles, also cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities. The sky was airbrushed on with Copic Marker B12.

tcpwitchycc287beate.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock folded in half. A 3 3/4″ x 4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Laundry Line patterned paper was adhered to a 1/4″ bigger piece of black cardstock. Two 4″ long strips of black cardstock were cut and embossed with Spades Borderabilities. They were adhered to the top and bottom of the patterned paper.  1/2″ wide may Arts Crinkled Ribbon was colored with V17 Copic Marker and taped over the end of the top of the patterend paper and tied on the lower edges into a double bow. The bow was topped with a green button. Black Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the card.

A 2 1/4″ x 4″ strip of the Merry Days of Christmas by My Mind’s Eyewas adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Basic Black cardstock. The card base is a 4 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ piece of red Core’dination cardstock folded in half.

Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones were added to the right corners and a recollection rhinestone swirl was added to the upper left hand side.

The sentiments was stamped on white cardstock, cut with Classic Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed with BG01. A bow tied out of May Arts gingham ribbon was adhered over the sentiment and topped with a piece of cardstock, cut with the button die from TCP.
