It’s time for me to share with you another card made with the new Ali Edwards Be Mine stamp set. I started with a 3″ x 5″ piece of  Neenah Solar White cardstock. I cut the circle border die at an angle across the width of the layer. Above and underneath the border cut I scored two lines with my Scor-Pal.

A piece of Echo Park So Happy Together was adhered behind the circle border. The words of one of the sentiments were inked up separately with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped above and underneath the border.  The top right and bottom left corner were rounded. Silver cord was wrapped above the top of the border and topped with a button.

The layer was adhered to a slightly bigger piece of black cardstock, before it was adhered to the card base, a 3 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half. A heart from Be Mine was stamped with Tuxedo Black ink on So Happy Together patterned paper, cut out and adhered to the lower right of the card. Rhinestones next to the heart and happy finish off the card.

I hope you have time to check out everyone else’s work with this set. Comment on each blog and you might win a $25 gift certificate for the Technique Tuesday store!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

My card today is super easy. I started with a 4″ x 11″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was folded in half and the bottom left corner was rounded. One corner of a 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Echo Park’s Holly Jolly Christmas paper was rounded before the edges were sanded. The layer was adhered to the left hand side of the card front.

I have had the Taylored die Merry for a while and had to use it before Christmas is over. I like it a lot. I cut two Merry’s out of Red Devil Fourz Bazzill cardstock and one of silver glimmer paper. They were adhered to the lower part of the card base. Three tiny rhinestones were added on the Y of the bottom Merry.

Next I cut and embossed silver glimmer paper and Red Devil cardstock with the two small dies from the 2012 Snowflake Pendant Shapeabilities® die set. The snowflakes were adhered to the upper right hand side of the card front and topped with rhinestones. A paper piercing edge along the paper strip above the sentiments finish off the card.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful time with friends and family! Have a wonderful day!

For my card today I used an image from the darling new Playful Kittens stamp set. Again this card works wonderful for the current Simon Says Stamp challenge. Some of my favorites on this card include Washi Tape, Patterned paper, Wee images, Rhinestones and Copic Markers.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a 3 1/4″ x 5″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The bottom corner were rounded and the image was colored with Copic Markers (Kitten: C00, N0, N1, N2, R000, R20     Scarf: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, YR09, R24, R29, R39      Ground: YG01, YG03, YG17    Butterfly: YG01, BG10, BG11, BG13).

Two 3 1/4″ wide strips of Echo Park So Happy Together paper were sanded and adhered to the top of the image layer. The edges were stitched and two pieces of Washi Tape were adhered to the left hand side of the patterned paper strips. A green button was tied on with silver cord.

A sentiment from the Playful Kittens set was stamped on a scrap piece of paper. It was cut into banner shape and adhered under the paper strips. Stardust Glitter was added over the butterfly wings and rhinestones above the button and to the right hand side of the card.

For my sample today I used  the darling Birthday Baby Girl Wee image. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock . It was colored with  Copic Markers (Hair: Y21, Y23, E33   Skin: E0000, E00, E01   Sleeper: G0000, G000, G00, G02, BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15   Flowers: RV10, RV13    Teddy/cake: E40, E41, E42    Frosting: YR30, YR31    Ground: W3, W5 W7) and cut and embossed with a Hexagon Nestabilities die. Diamond Stickles were applied over the bubbles and the cake frosting.

Two pieces of Echo Park’s Everday Eclectic paper were adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/2″ rectangle. The bottom corners were rounded and the edges were sanded, before a faux stitched border was added with a Copic Multiliner.  The image layer was adhered to the left side, slightly hanging over the edge. The part that was hanging over was cut off.

Four pieces of the Everyday Eclectic paper were stamped with stamps from the Celebration Circle Pennant set. The half circles were cut out and three were strung up as a banner with embroidery thread. The fourth half circle was adhered to the lower right hand side and a button was tied over it. The layers were adhered to the card base, a 4″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl and a few Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones finish off the card.

At the end of release week (Wednesday 31 October) we will post a Release Round-Up on the Whimsy blog. This will include a selection of DT work from the new release week together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

For my first sample I chose the adorable Wee Boo image. It’s so cute, I can’t stand it. I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock . It was colored with  Copic Markers (Little Dragons: BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, E50, E51, E53, R20   Pumpkin: E95, E97, E99   Wings: YG01, YG03, YG17   Bow: C5, C7, C9) and cut out.  The image was stamped again on Echo Park’s Chillingworth Manor patterned paper, colored , cut out and adhered to the main image.

Another piece of Chillingsworth Manor was cut and embossed with the largest of the Classic Oval LG dies. Cloud dies (cut with Spellbinders Whimsy dies) were adhered over it and the layer was sponged with Gray Flannel Memento ink. It was then layered on a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Label Eighteen die. The image was adhered over the spooky background with  foam adhesive squares.

Last week’s tutorial on Splitcoast was so much fun, I had to make another Concertina card. The card base was created with Neenah Solar White cardstock and lined with more Chillingworth patterned paper. Black and green paper were cut with Icicle Border  die and adhered to the top. I think it could be used for “goo” as well as icicles.

The date circle is from Everyday Circle Postmarks and was stamped in Tuxedo Black on more Chillingworth paper. It was cut out and the 31st as well as a circle border were colored with Copic Marker YG01. I ran a bottle cap through my Grand Calibur (cutting plate and Raspberry adapter plate) to flatten it, adhered the sentiment in the center and topped it with a Epoxy Dot. It was adhered with foam adhesives to the upper left hand side of the image.

Part of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl,  a few rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones and a few rows of a Beautiful Border Bling – Chevrons finish off the card. In case you missed it last week, here is a video for this fold for the visual learner:

P. S.: How about a little giveaway? Would you like to win last month released Hazel and the Whimsy Halloween Grunge Paper? If so, just add your name to the inlinkz underneath. Open only for people with US address. Sorry.

I will pick a winner with the help of random.org on Sunday!

I created this card on Wednesday for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. It’s another CAS card. I seem to be on a CAS kick since the last VSN.  For my card I started by stamping a sentiment from Technique Tuesday’s Thanks for Everything in Jet Black Archival ink on Kraft cardstock and cut it out by hand. The flower from the same set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Spectrum Markers (BT2, BT4, BT5, BT7, CT2, CT4, GB5, OR1). It was cut out as well and adhered to the left hand side of the sentiment panel.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. The bottom corners were rounded. The edges of a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ strip of Echo Park’s Everyday Eclectic Paper were sanded and top and bottom edge stitched. Another piece of paper from the same Echo Park paper was cut and embossed with the second largest Romantic Rectangle die die and the edges were sanded.

The rectangle was adhered first to the center of the card. Next the stitched strip was adhered partly over the rectangle to the right. White Crochet Ribbon was adhered over the left edge of the strip. The image and flower layers were adhered to the lower right with foam adhesive squares. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl over the flower finishes off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday.

Here is another card that I created quite a while ago and didn’t make it for publication. It’s a darling digital image from Tiddly Inks called Always the Flower Girl. The image was printed with a Laserjet Printer on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Dress: YG01, YG03, YG17   Skin: E50, E51, E53   Hair: E97, E99, E09, E18   Thistles: V12, V17, Lavendar Spica Pen, G21, G26, G28   Ground: YG21, YG23, YG17, E30, E31, W3, W5    Sky: B0000, B000, B00). The image was adhered to a piece of black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Label 18 Nestabilities die and the edges of the oval were paper pierced.

A 2 1/4″ x 3 15/16″  piece of Echo Park Walk in the Park patterned paper was adhered over a 3 15/16″ x 5″ piece of the same paper pack. The bottom corners were rounded before the paper was stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock.  White Crochet Lace was adhered underneath the paper strip and gold organdy Ribbon was tied above it before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 3/8″ x 11″ piece of Solar White cardstock folded in half.

The image layers were adhered to the card base with dimensionals. Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers were added to the lower left corner of the image. A sentiment from Friendship Notables 2 was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, cut out and adhered to the lower right corner. A button was tied to the ribbon bow with embroidery floss and parts of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl were added to the upper left corner and underneath the flowers.

On Wednesday a new Product Focus was published on Splitcoaststampers. This time we got to review the Perfect Squares Tool. So when I was creating a card for last Sunday’s Featured Stamper Challenge, I used that tool to cut and score my layers.

The Featured Stamper was Angela R. I hope you have time to check out her gallery on SCS. She creates beautiful cards. For my case I chose this cad of hers. I kept the layout, but changed the topper and the ribbon. I also added a little bling. Just a little. 🙂

I started by stamping the Butterfly from Taylored Expressions Make it Amazing in Jet Black Archival Ink and cut it out. The frame from the same set was stamped with Jet Black Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The frame was hand cut before a flower image was inked with Sky Blue and New Sprout Memento Markers and stamped in it’s center. A few dots in each color were added before the butterfly was adhered over the flower with Scor-Tape (under the body), and double stacked foam adhesive (under the wings).

A 3 1/4″ white cardstock square was cut and a border was embossed 1/8″ in. A sentiment from Make it Amazing was stamped to the lower right side with Jet Black ink. Honeydew Twine was threaded through a black button and tied around the layer before it was adhered to the card base with dimensional. The card base is a 3 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.

The image layers were adhered to the card with foam adhesive squares. Three rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestone and Frost Smooch Glitz over the butterfly finish off the card.

Today’s tutorial was written by the wonderful Patti Gilliam. She is sharing on how to create a darling little box, with a flat back, that allows you display your artwork. I popped my Witch up on four dimensional adhesives, so the box part acts like a stage for her to stand on.

To begin with I stamped Phyllis Harris darling A Tiny Witch in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and  colored her with  Copic Markers (Skin: E000, E00, E01, BV10    Hair: Y23, E97, E99   Dress: V12, V15, V17, V09, YG01, YG03, YG17   Broom: E33, E39, YR21, YR23, YR27   Pumpkin: YR12, YR15, YR04, YR27). The witch was cut out and set aside.

The box base was created out of black cardstock. Two pieces of Echo Park Mischievous Patterned Paper were cut to a 3 13/16″ length. The blue strip measures 1 3/8″, the black piece 2 7/8″. Both pieces were sanded before the blue strip was adhered over the bigger black piece and the edges were stitched. May Arts Ribbon was tied around the blue strip and the bow was topped with a button, tied on with a silver cord.

The layered paper was adhered to the back of the box with Scor-Tape and the Witch was adhered over the ribbon. I stacked 4 foam adhesive squares on top of each other so my witch would stand off a bit.

A 7/8″ x 3 13/16″ strip of Mischievous paper was sanded and stitched before it was adhered to the front. A sentiment from the set was stamped in black ink on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with one of the insert dies from Fancy Framed Tag One set. The center was sponged with Pear Tart Memento Ink before the oval was adhered to the right hand side of the box part. Three rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones pack were adhered underneath the sentiment and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was added next to the sentiment and under the bow.

Here is  video for the visual learner:

I hope you try it out!! This is a fun and super easy box. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs and smiles

P.S.: I hope you are subscribed to Splitcoaststampers Weekly Inkling. Simon Says Stamp has a discount code in there for subscribers. 25% off!!!

I created a really quick card with the new Unity Good Day Sunshine image. I thought it didn’t need extra layers or bling.

I stamped the image with Jet Black Archival Ink on a piece of Echo Park Springtime paper. It was cut into a 3 1/2″ long strip. White May Arts Crochet Lace was adhered underneath the strip, Two buttons were stitched to the upper left edge of the strip before the strip was adhered to a 3 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Sunflower Bazzill paper, that was folded in half to create the card base. The sentiment from the set was stamped on the bottom right.

What do you think? Is it too plain? Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles
