The newest Product Focus on Splitcoaststampers is for the Cricut for Beginners DVDs. I had a Cricut machine sitting in a box for three weeks. After watching a few of the lessons, I couldn’t wait any longer and unpack my machine.

I cut the main image with the Katie’s ABC cartridge out of black cardstock.

A piece of Echo Park Springtime paper was cut with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and sponged with Shabby Shutter and Tumbled Glass Distress ink. The layer was adhered to white cardstock, cut and embossed with the next size Petite Oval Nestabities dies. A piece of black cardstock was cut and embossed with a Beaded Oval Nestabilities die. The layers were adhered to the black oval and Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones were adhered to the edge of the beaded oval.

A 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Springtime paper was adhered to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Playground paper. The layers were adhered to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. As you can see, my sewing machine was already packed up. The layers look naked to me without the stitched edges. White Organdy Ribbon was tied around the vertical strip before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of yellow cardstock, folded in half.

The sentiment is from Flourishes Life Lines. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The sentiment was cut and embossed with a Circle Nestabilities die. The embossed part was colored with Copic Marker B0000 before the panel was adhered to the lower right of the image panel with dimensionals.

Today the movers are loading our stuff on the truck today and tomorrow. Saturday morning we are driving out of Ohio! So while I have blog posts lined up for you for the next days, I won’t be able to blog hop for a while.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Guess what? I have a Cricut! I got myself a regular Cricut, but I like it a lot. Maybe I have to upgrade to a Cricut Expressions soon. This was the first card I have ever created with it. I borrowed a few cartridges from a friend of mine to start out.

This card is super simple. The card base was cut created with the Life is a Beach cartridge. I paper pierced around the window and stamped a sentiment from Flourishes Windows of the World in Jet Black Archival Ink on the lower right.

Black Kaisercraft Rhinestones on the upper left hand side and Stardust Stickles on the leaves finish off the card front. The card base was cut to make a 4″ square card. To make the leaves stand out more, I adhered a 3 3/4″ square of Neenah Solar White to the inside of the card.
