When I saw the first card Maria made with this BEAUTIFUL, super realistic looking rose set, I wanted it.

Here is my first card made with this set. I love how easy two step stamping is with clear stamps. Makes lining them up a breeze.

The card base is a 4 1/4″x 8 1/2″ piece of Really Rust cardstock folded in half.

The black scallop square is made with Nestabilities.

The white layer is a 3 1/2″ square of Shimmery White cardstock. The roses were stamped with

1. Layer Apricot Appeal

2. Layer Pumpkin Pie stamped off once

3. Layer Pumpkin Pie

4. Layer Real Rust

The stem and flowers were stamped with Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi.

The ribbon is May Arts ribbon, the small scallop circle was cut with decorative scissors.

I am posting this super late (a little after midnight here). I spend all day playing video games with my kids. It’s so much fun. Who knows how much longer they want to hang out with their Mom. I treasure every minute of it. It seems that since Rick is gone, I don’t get much (stamping) done during the weekend.

Thank you so much for the wonderful response to my last minute request. You guys are the best. I will keep you updated as the cards arrive and when and how many I send off. Hopefully I will get Rick to snap some pictures of happy recipients!

Hugs and smiles

It feels good to be back creating cards. I am a little rusty though.

I made this card for yesterday’s Color Challenge on SCS. The colors this week were Taken with Teal, Real Red and Certainly Celery.,

I got the layout from the wonderful Julee Tilman’s and her Mojo Monday layout.

The card base is a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock.

The next layer is a 5″ square of Floral Chic patterned paper by Fancy Pants. I punched each corner with the ticket corner punch.

The sentiment is from the stamp set Thanks with Style by Kitchen Sinks Stamps. I inked it with Real Magic VersaMagic ink and stamped it on a 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock.

Again I used the Ticket Corner Punch on each corner and paper pierced the edges.

I layered two red flowers from the Prima Quick Pick Hydrangia Strawberry pack and added a Antique Brass Build A Brad.

Last I added sheer polka dot ribbon by May Arts.
