I can’t believe my guest designer stint with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is already over. Time seems to fly now that school has started again. Today’s challenge is to create a scene. I made it easy on myself and used a stamp that already looks like a scene when you stamp it. It’s an image from Emilie Goulet’s new Too Cute to Spook 1 set.

The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock and once onEcho Park Hello Summer patterned paper. Both images were colored with Copic Markers (Pumpkins: YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18, R08   Leaves: G20, G21, G24, G28   Skin: E000, E00, E01   Shirt: E41, E42, E43, B91, B93, B95  Pumpkin Eyes: E50, E51, E53).  The image on the patterned paper was cut out with scissors and adhered to the image on the white cardstock, which was cut and embossed with a Card Creator Matte B die.

The images were masked and a circle mask was adhered to the upper left corner. With the die still on the cardstock, the image was sponged with Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks . Next the circle mask was taken off and that area was sponged with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. The layer was then adhered to black cardstock, cut and embossed with a Card Creator Matte A die.

A piece of Hello Summer paper was cut and embossed with another Matte B die, sanded and stitched to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the next larger Matte A die. Ribbon was tied around the layers before the image layers were adhered with dimensional adhesive. The layers were adhered to the card base,  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock from the Emerald Coast Color Made Easy collection.

A sentiment from the set was stamped on a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest of the Nested Lacey Pennants dies. Four rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones were adhered underneath the sentiment before the pennant was adhered to the upper left corner. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl above the bow finish off the card.

I hope you have time to check out the other designers samples and participate in the challenge. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today’s challenge for Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge is a sketch. All the Kraftin’ Kimmie Gang is showcasing a new set called Candy Girls. I started by stamping Coco Choloate in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with the largest Classic Rectangle LG Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers ( Hair: Y11, Y21, E31   Skin: E0000, E000, E01   Eye: B00, B02   Pink: RV00, RV10, R81, R83, R85   Chocolate: E35, E37, E59, E49   Ground: W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7). The edges of the image sponged with Antique Linen Distress ink and the outer edge dusted in glitter. The layer was adhered to a piece of Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest of the Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities.

Echo Park Graceful This & That patterned paper was cut and embossed with a Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded before it was stitched to a slightly bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock.  A  paper doily was adhered to the upper left corner and Aqua May Arts Ribbon was tied around the square. The image layer was adhered over the layer with dimensionals. All layers were adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.

A sentiment from the set was stamped in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tag One die. the edges of the layers were sponged with Antique Linen before it was adhered over the lower right of the image. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and two rhinestones from the Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones finish off the card.

I am excited to be guest designing for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps this month. Today’s challenge is to create something with the Out of the Box technique. I LOVE that techinque and use it quite frequently.  Kerry Johnson is the hostess this week and the prize is the stamp set she is using today.

For my sample I stamped an image from the Sugar and Spice set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Skin:E000, E01, E11    Hair: Y11, Y13, E31    Dress/Bow (B000, B01, B02, B04)    Shoes: N3, N5, N7, N9    Socks/dress trim: N0, N1, N3   Balloon: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17   Ground: YG01, YG03, YG17, E31).

The image was masked, the oval die was placed back over the image and cloud masked cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Whimsy die were added. The image was then airbrushed with Copic Marker B01. The bottom of the clouds were colored with Copic Markers W00, W0, W1. The image was adhered to a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Decorative Oval Nestabilities dies.

Both a piece of Pebbles patterned paper as well as a piece of Solar White cardstock were cut and embossed with the largest Label Twenty-Eight die. The edges of the patterned paper were sanded, then trimmed down to the embossed edge. It was then stitched to the white cardstock label. A hole was punched into the image layers and May Arts ribbon was threaded through it and tied around the label layers. The oval layers were adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

A white cardstock base was cut and embossed with the same Label Twenty-Eight Nestabilities die and the card front was adhered to it. A sentiment from Sugar and Spice was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with one of the insert dies from the new Fancy Framed Tags 2 die set. The embossed part of the oval was airbrushed with Copic Marker B01.  Parts of a  Fancy That! Border Bling and Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones finish off the card.

I hope you have time to participate in the challenge! CheckHave a wonderful weekend!

I am excited to be a guest designer for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps this month. Today’s challenge is to create a card for Mom. I decided to use an image from Cheryl Alger’s Sugar and Spice set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Dress, bow, balloon, grass: YG00, YG01, YG03, YG17    Socks: N0, N3   Shoes: N3, N5, N7, N9    Skin: E000, E01, E11    Hair: Y26, E33, E35, E37   Background: B0000, B000). The image was adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Floral Oval Nestabilities die.

Two pieces of Pink Paislee She Art patterned paper were cut and embossed with a Grand Rectangle Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded, stitched and May Arts ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip. The paper was adhered to the card base, white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Rectangle die.

The image layers were adhered to the card base with dimensional adhesive. Fancy That! Border Bling was added to the upper left hand side of the card. A sentiment from Kimmie’s Everyday Sentiments was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock,  cut and embossed with a tag die from Home Sweet Home . The embossed part was colored with Copic Marker B0000. It was tied to the bow with a button and embroidery thread to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to participate in the challenge.

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge is to create a tag. I changed it up just a little bit and created a Tag card. I started by folding 12″ textured Kraft cardstock in half and cut a tag card base with  Tim’s large tag die.

A 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Love Me Patterned Paper was adhered to a 2 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ piece from the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Seam Binding was tied around the horizontal strip. The bow was topped with a button that was tied on with silver cord. That silver cord tied on a tiny tag with part of one of the sentiments from the new Lots of Love 2 set stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The embossed part of the tag was colored with Copic Markers 1/5th YR31 (mixed 1/5th of YR31 refill with 4/5th of Blending solution in an empty marker).

Part of a paper doily was adhered to the left side of the layers and topped with the Cupic from Lots of Love 2. It had been stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock, colored with Copics (Skin: E50, E51, E53   Hair: YR31, E97, E99, E31    Eyes/Wings: BG0000, BG000, BG01    Hearts: R22, R27, R39   Bow: E30, E31, E33, C0, C1, C3) and cut out. The wings were covered with Stardust Stickles .

The layers were adhered to the tag base and dressed up with part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and additional Rhinestones.
A small slit was cut at the card fold and seam binding was threaded through there and the tag hole.

The inside of the tag was kept pretty simple. Just a white layer along with more Love me paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge is an easy sketch.

Today is also a sneak peek  day for a new set. These are from Annie and they are called Alice and Wonderland and Wonderland Sentiments.  For my sample I used the Doormouse image. I stamped the  mouse with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed it with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die.

The cup was paper pieced with a pattern from  MME Lost & Found  Madison Avenue paper and the image and patterned paper were colored with Copic Makers (Mouse: E41, E42, E43   Tea Cup: R00, R01, R02   Bow: R21, R43, R46 ). The circle was sponged with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress ink and layered on a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Tear Drop circle Nestabilities die.

A 4 1/2″ long strip of white cardstock was cut with the small scallop Die-namics die and adhered to a piece of Madison Avenue paper. Several different pattern from the same paper pack were adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of paper and stitched to a 1/8″ larger white square. May arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around the upper half and topped with a button, tied on with Linen Thread.

A sentiment from Wonderland Sentiments was stamped in Tuxedo Black on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a retired Spellbinders tag die. It was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink and adhered to the lower right of the image layers. The card front was adhered to the card base, a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities.  Part of a Finesse Pearl swirl and additional pearls finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to participate in the challenge. It’s a fun sketch!Have a wonderful day.

I am excited to be a guest designer for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps this month! My gig starts out easy with today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge . Use heat or dry embossing on your project. Since making my first tag for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week, I was itching to create another tag.

For this one I started out with embossing a 2 /3″ x 4″ piece of Winter Park Patterned paper with a Snowflake  Embossing Folder. The raised snowflakes were sanded and the sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Two more 2 3/4″ wide pieces of the same paper pack were sanded and stitched to a 3″ x 6″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been sponged with Vintage Photo ink. The layers were adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock that had been cut with Tim’s large tag die.

For the sentiment panel I cut a piece of white and Kraft Cardstock with Tim’s Tag die. From the white piece I used the inner oval of the sentiment label. A sentiment from Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Holiday Sentiments was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink in it’s center. Then it was embossed with the same embossing folder used for the Winter park paper and sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. From the Kraft cardstock I used the outer part of the label. It was also sponged with Vintage ink and two brown brads were added. The panel was adhered with dimensionals to the lower part of the card.

I dyed some seam binding with Vintage Photo Distress Re-inker and water. It was turned into a bow and a button was tied on with Linen Thread. Parts of a Finesse Swirl were added above the bow and underneath the sentiment label. Three red Baby Bling Rhinestones were added under the sentiment.

As focal point for the upper part of the tag, I cut and embossed a piece of textured Kraft cardstock (Stampin’ Up!) with a Fanciful Holiday Shapeabilities die. It was sponged with Vintage Photo ink and a red Baby Bling Rhinestone was added to it’s nose. More dyed seam binding was attached to another red button and adhered to the top of the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to participate in the challenge.
Have a great weekend!

Today’s card was created for several challenges. The background was created with the Bargello Technique, which was the Technique challenge on SCS on Monday. The sketch is from Cute Card Thursday’s challenge and the Scallop Circle was used so the card would fit Kraftin’ Kimmie’s challenge today.

For my sample I picked Drucilla. I lover her slightly demented look. I stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut her out with Classic Circle Nestabilities and the Out of the Box Technique. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: YR0000, YR000, YR00,    Dress: YG01, YG03, YG17, N1, N3, N5, N7,    Stockings: R12, R15, R17, E30, E0000,    Doll: E30, E31, E33,    Hair: E15, E25, E29,    Background: B0000, B000, B91). The image adhered to Black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Classic Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

My Bargello background was created out of Echo Park’s For the Record Patterned Paper. I cut my strips 5/8″ wide. The background was cut with Label 1 Grand Nestabilities and layered on a hand-cut, slightly bigger piece of black cardstock. The layers were stitched together. Two tiny tabs were cut with one of the Label Trio dies, adhered to the top right corner and topped with Silver Recollection Pearls.

The image was adhered with dimensionals and Prima and Bo Bunny Flowers were taped around it. One of them had a Basic Grey Button center, the rest were topped with Recollection Pearl Brads.

The sentiment is from Sassy Sentiments. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with one of the Double Ended Tags.

The main card was created out of one 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Sno Cone cardstock folded in half. Two bigger pieces of Sno Cone paper were cut and embossed with Grand Label 1 Nestabilities and adhered to the front and back.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
