Today Splitcoast is posted a product review on Xyron‘s new 1″ Mini Sticker Maker and the new glue stick. I used both products on a card I created for last week’s Free For All Challenge.

I had recently discovered Freckled Fawn Washi tape and was eager to use it on a card. For this card, I covered a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with three different tapes. The edges were stitched and one of SimonSaysStamp  Talk Bubbles die was used to cut a window on the lower right hand corner.

A sentiment from SimonSaystamps For the Record was stamped in Jet Black Archival ink on Solar White cardstock. It was adhered (with Xyron Glue stick) behind the window before the layers were adhered to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. A border was drawn with aCopic Multiliner on the inside edge of the talk bubble.

Hearts were cut out of black cardstock with the Holiday Shapes die. Three were adhered to the upper left hand side and one little red baby bling rhinestone was added to the biggest heart. The layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half with  foam adhesive squares. A border was doodled around the big layer to finish off the card.

If you haven’t checked out Freckled Fawn yet, get yourself something to drink, sit in a comfortable chair and go and check it out. It’s Washi Tape heaven!!! Their tapes are so pretty and I love how they staged their product photos. If you like their product, please go and like Freckled Fawn and Simonsaysstamp on facebook. Freckled Fawn was sweet enough to sponsor a little Washi Tape giveaway.

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and The Craft’s Meow.

For this month’s hop, Nina challenged the team to create an ornament or tags, which will come in handy in the upcoming holidays.

I created a little tag card that worked great for the Free For All Challenge on Friday, which was to use a negative die cut shape.  I started with a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Kraft cardstock. The top corners were rounded and the Christmas Tree from Sweet Folk Art was cut and embossed in it’s center. Next a background strip from GinaK Designs Vintage Borders was stamped over it with Brilliance Moonlight White ink and the edges were sponged with the same ink.

A slightly smaller piece of Carta Bella Merry & Bright patterned paper was adhered behind the kraft cardstock. The tree kraft die cut was used as a template to add a pierced border on the patterned paper. The edges of the stitched and a piece of white pompom ribbon was adhered to the bottom. Gingham ribbon was taped behind the Kraft cardstock before it was adhered to the card base, a 3″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, folded in half with it’s top corners rounded.

A sentiment from Winter Mittens was stamped in Jet Black Archival ink and cut and embossed with an insert die from theFancy Framed Tag One dies. The sentiment panel was adhered to the card with foam adhesive squares. Yellow cardstock was cut and embossed with the small star die from Sweet Folk Art. It was adhered to the top of the tree. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl were added to the tree and one rhinestone from aSleek Strips Silver Rhinestoneswas added to the center of the star to finish off the tag card.

I created this card for a Free For all Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. We were to create a card with fall leaves. I had seen so many negative die cuts on Pinterest and love the look. I decided to create a card like that for this challenge.

A piece of 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with one of the Spellbinders Foliage dies. A piece of BBP All Hallow’s Eve patterned paper was adhered behind it before the layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Kraft cardstock.

A sentiment from JustRite Stamper’s Antique Autumn Tags One was stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink to the lower left of the layers. A button was tied on with Linen Thread before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Solar White cardstock, folded in half. Three black Rhinestones were adhered to the top right to finish off the card.

That was the name of last week’s Free For All Challenge on SCS. It has been a long time since I participated in a  Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and it’s time to get out of the summer funk and back to playing challenges. 🙂  For the card I picked the darling image of Where Flowers Bloom. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Classic White cardstock. The image was colored with  Copic Markers (Lamb: W00, E81, R00, R000 Jacket: R00, R11, R12 Pants:N0, N1, N3, N5 Ground: Y11, Y13, Y17 Flowers: Y13, Y15, Y17, YR15, E97, E25).

The edges of the image layer were paper pierced and masked. Next the lamb was masked and cloud dies were added. The background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B01. The clouds were shaded with Copic Markers W00, W0 and W1.

A piece of Echo Park Hello Summer paper was cut into a Pennant die. The edges were sanded before it was adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack. The bottom corners were rounded, the edges were sanded and stitched. May Arts sheer ribbon was tied around the layers before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread.

A sentiment from Bundle of Baby was stamped to the lower right corner with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Part of a  Fancy That! Border Bling was adhered under the sentiment and several rhinestones from the Sleek Strip Silver Rhinestones was added to the upper left corner.

I created this card for yesterday’s Free 4 All Challenge. Jeanne asked us to created something with a blue flower. I love this rose image from JustRite Stampers new With Sympathy stamp set and thought they would look good in blue.

The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of My Mind’s Eye Be Amazing patterned paper. The image was cut out with a  Classic Square Nestabilities die and the Out of the Box technique and colored with  Copic Markers (B0000, B91, B95, G20, G21, G24, G28. YR30).  One more rose bud and a leave branch were stamped on a scrap piece of the same paper, colored and cut out.

The square was sponged with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress ink and the edges were stitched. The square was adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest of the  Fleur De Lis Square Nestabilities dies.

A piece of Be Amazing paper was cut and embossed with a  Grand Square Nestabilities. The edges were sanded and stitched and a piece of Light Blue Organdy Ribbon was tied around the paper vertically. The image layer was adhered over the paper and ribbon and a button was tied over the bow. The paper was adhered to the card base, Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.

A sentiment from Fleur De Lis Label 20 stamp set was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The edges were sponged an a leave from the image was stamped in the center with Antique Linen ink. Fancy That! Border Bling on the top right of the image corner and three small Rhinestones under the sentiment finish off the card.

I made it into a birthday card so I can enter it into the current JustRite Stampers challenge Birthday Bash.

Have a great weekend and stop by tomorrow for a bit more candy! 🙂

This weeks Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger looked tough. I was not about to enter that challenge. But then I saw the awesome Free For All Challenge Lydia hosted. That along with a new embossing folder I received that day gave me an idea for a card that would work for both challenges.

I started by embossing a 3 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. I colored each of the embossed cubes with Copic Markers (BG72, BG73, E30, E31, YR15, YR18, Y13 , Y15, E74, E77, E41, E42) and the tiny dots with E77. The layer was stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock. Another piece of Canyon Brown cardstock was cut and embossed with a Fancy Tag 3 die.

A piece of white cardstock was cut and embossed with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die. A sentiment from Verve’s Beautiful Kindness was stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink was stamped on the oval. The inner part was airbrushed with Copic Marker E42 before it was adhered to the Fancy Tag die cut. Yellow Organdy Ribbon was threaded through the die cut frame and  tie around the layers.

The layers were adhered to the card base a 4 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Textured Kraft cardstock, folded in half. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered over the bow and a small one on the left under the tag. Small Baby Bling Rhinestones on the sentiment panel finish off the card.

I haven’t participated in Friends with Flair for way too long.I created this card for last week’s Free For All Challenge on Splitcoast.  When I saw the challenge, I knew right away I wanted the house stamp from Little Whispers. I had just gotten it in the mail with my last order and was itching to try it out.

My card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. Snow cap Adirondack Acrylic paint was applied directly with the dabber it comes with. The image was stamped over the white paint with Jet Black Archival ink. After the ink dried, Red Pepper and Citrus paint was used to add a bit of color.

A wavy border was stitched around the edge of the card and May Arts Gingham ribbon tied around the upper edge. The ribbon was topped with a red button to finish it off.

I created this challenge for Friday’s Free For All Challenge on Splitcoast. This week we were to create anything that grows in your garden or reminds you of springtime. I just got this Greet the Day with Gerber set from Mark’s Finest Papers and was eager to try it out.

I still had a Label 13 die cut from my the Double Embossing sample and stamped the image on that with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. It was colored with Copic Markers (Flowers: R11, R12, R14    Leaves: YG93, YG95, YG97,    Sky: B41, B0000,    Center: E97, E99) and adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock, that was hand cut to a slightly bigger layer.

The edges of the layer were paper pierced. The layers were adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the Fleur De Lis Pendant die.

For the layout I used last weeks CPS sketch. The card base is a 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Two 4 3/4″ long strips of Canyon Brown cardstock were cut and embossed with a Eyelet Borderabilities die and adhered underneath a 2 3/4″ wide strip of  Hazel Stella & Rose MME paper. The edges of the square were stitched, the edges of the horizontal strip topped with white lace (bought at Walmart), the center with May Arts floral lace.

The layers were adhered to the card base and the image was adhered to the layers with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a tag that had been cut with a retired die and was colored with Copic Markers (YR30, YR31, E97). The tag was topped with a Sheer pink bow topped with a Recollection brad. Silver Recollection pearls on the top right finish off the card.
