Usually on the 15th we have a NinaB. Designs blog hop. Because everyone is so busy this month we decided to skip it. I thought it would be fun to post  card showcasing Nina’s stamps anyway. The card also works great for the current Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is to showcase your favorites. Some of my favorites are using dies, rhinestones, Memento Inks and my trusted corner chomper.

I started my card with a 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The lower part was cut with the Country Landscape Memory Box die. The upper part was cut with the Simon Says Stamp exclusive Falling Stars die.  The houses were sponged with Toffee Crunch, the trees with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink. The sky was sponged with Nautical Blue Memento ink. The bottom corners were rounded before the layers were adhered to another piece of white cardstock exactly the same size.

Stardust Stickles was added on the bottom, on top of the trees and houses as well as in the star holes. Silver cord was wrapped around the lower edge and topped with a yellow button. A sentiment from Just Sayin’ was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with one of the Nested Lacey Pennant Nestabilities® dies.

Yellow Bazzill cardstock was cut and embossed with the smallest Star Nestabilities® die. The star was adhered to the right hand side of the sentiment and topped with a rhinestone. The sentiment strip was adhered to the image layer with foam adhesive squares. the layer was adhered to the card base, a 3 1/2″ x 10″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half with more foam adhesive squares. More rhinestones (under the sentiment and above the button) and a double row of paper piercing above the layer finish off the card.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful weekend!

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2ScrapPenny Black, and The Craft’s Meow. For this month’s hop, Nina challenged us to create something with Winter and Holidays in mind.
The holidays provide many opportunities for paper crafters to give an extra personal touch to every occasion.  Whether you are doing place cards for a dinner, tags for gift giving or even just hand made projects using your supplies on hand, it is a blessed season indeed!

As you can see it’s my post from yesterday’s Spellbinders Blog. We moved the blog hop right before I left for my trip to Arizona and I didn’t have time to create a new one. I used The Craft’s Meow Vintage Snowflake Set to stamp the circles with Versamagic ink. You can see a better picture on the Spellbinders blog. If you comment there, and then come back and post on yesterday’s post as well, you will be entered in a drawing for my Create-a-Flake 4 dies.

To welcome you back to our blog hop, we are giving away PRIZE PACKAGES so be sure to hop along!  Winners will be picked randomly from 2 of the designers’ blogs:
Everybody is welcome to comment and be eligible to win. The winners will be announced on  November 23 on Nina’s Blog, where you will also find all the relevant info regarding the giveaways.  Finally, please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today’s hop, so you don’t miss the latest news and happenings:

Thank you for joining us today!

Here is a little sneak peek of the card I am sharing at the  Spellbinders blog today.  I hope you have time to check out my quick tutorial for this card on the Spellbinders blog. If you have time to comment there, come back and let me know.

If you do that (comment there and then here) it will enter you in a raffle for my gorgeous Create-a-Flake Four Snowflake die set. It just retired (meaning Spellbinders Paper Arts is out of those dies and you soon won’t get them anymore. Still available in stores while supplies last).

I will pick a winner on Sunday with the help of random.org. International readers are invited to enter the raffle too.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! I know mine will be. I am in Arizona right now hanging out with my fellow Spellblogger and the Spellbinders Blog team.

Welcome to the monthly NinaB Designs team blog hop. NinaB Designs is a product designer for a few paper crafting companies including Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and The Craft’s Meow.

For this month’s hop, Nina challenged the team to create an ornament or tags, which will come in handy in the upcoming holidays.

I created a little tag card that worked great for the Free For All Challenge on Friday, which was to use a negative die cut shape.  I started with a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Kraft cardstock. The top corners were rounded and the Christmas Tree from Sweet Folk Art was cut and embossed in it’s center. Next a background strip from GinaK Designs Vintage Borders was stamped over it with Brilliance Moonlight White ink and the edges were sponged with the same ink.

A slightly smaller piece of Carta Bella Merry & Bright patterned paper was adhered behind the kraft cardstock. The tree kraft die cut was used as a template to add a pierced border on the patterned paper. The edges of the stitched and a piece of white pompom ribbon was adhered to the bottom. Gingham ribbon was taped behind the Kraft cardstock before it was adhered to the card base, a 3″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, folded in half with it’s top corners rounded.

A sentiment from Winter Mittens was stamped in Jet Black Archival ink and cut and embossed with an insert die from theFancy Framed Tag One dies. The sentiment panel was adhered to the card with foam adhesive squares. Yellow cardstock was cut and embossed with the small star die from Sweet Folk Art. It was adhered to the top of the tree. Parts of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl were added to the tree and one rhinestone from aSleek Strips Silver Rhinestoneswas added to the center of the star to finish off the tag card.

The NinaB Designs team is giving away these TWO PRIZE PACKAGES:

Hello, friends! After a much needed summer break, the NinaB Designs team is back to showcase some of Nina‘s designs for our monthly hop. Make sure you check out the new Summer CHA Releases by Spellbinders, Want2Scrap and Penny Black, and her monthly release by The Craft’s Meow.
For this month’s hop, Nina challenged us to create something with gift-giving in mind. For my project I decided to create a tag and a matching small box. You can find the tutorial for the box HERE.

I started by creating a tag. The tag base was cut and embossed out of Kraft cardstock with a die from Tags & Flags. My Mind’s Eye Winter Wonderland paper was cut and embossed with the same die, sanded and cut down on the embossed edge. 3/8″ wide strip of paper from the same paper pack was added before the edges were stitched and seam binding was tied around the paper. It was then adhered to the tag base.
More Winter Wonderland paper was cut and embossed with the tree die from Sweet Folk Art. A small piece of Kraft cardstock was cut and embossed with the same die to create the tree stem. Buttons were stitched to the tree. Handmade Lilybeedesigns paper was cut and embossed with the small star from Sweet Folk Art, sanded and adhered to the top of the tree.
Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the rectangle tag die from Home Sweet Home. A sentiment from The Craft’s Meows Season’s Greetings in Jet Black Archival Ink. It was tied to the seam binding bow along with a button with Linen Thread.  Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl above the bow and three small rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones on the bottom left were added to finish the tag.
The box base was created out of Kraft cardstock and was decorated with more Winter Wonderland paper and seam binding. The top corners were cut with Crop-a-Dile Cloud Chomper. Another sentiment from Season’s Greetings was stamped on Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a  Nested Lacey Pennant die. Again part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and rhinestones from a Sleek Strip Silver Rhinestones on the bottom left were added to finish the box.
Hershey Nuggets were covered with 1″ wide strips of the Winter Wonderland paper. If I had some Candy Canes, I think I would have added those to my box, but it’s a bit too early to find those in the stores.

Here are these NinaB. Designs products I used for my project:
