For all my blog friends and visitors in the North, I took pictures of the flowers blooming in my backyard right now. They are so pretty. I don’t know what they are called, but I thought you would like to see the first signs of spring!

  1. I believe the pink ones are Azaleas. If they are on a bush and there are tons of them, then that’s what you have. They love acidic conditions; so if you drink coffee, sprinkle your used coffee grounds around the base of the bush in the mornings. 😉

  2. Ann….thanks so much for the hint. Yes! They are on a HUGE bush with glossy dark green leaves. Those flowers are big! They are about four inches! We are not coffee drinkers though. Do you think a bit of my precious diet coke might work?

  3. ACK!!! Those are beautiful…it’s still snowing here in Nebraska…I can’t wait for SPRING!!

  4. FLOWERS? Sigh… it’s snowing here

  5. WOW! Those flowers are gorgeous! I can’t wait for Spring. We are getting a taste of it now with 80 degree weather.

  6. The white one looks like it may be a rose, or maybe a camelia. Hard to tell from the picture

  7. Flowers???? All I see is snow and I am stinkin’ cold. My Florida blood cannot take much more. Someone come steal me and take me back to Florida so I can smell the flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I love azelas. I didn’t know that about coffee grounds. Have to steal my hubby’s in the spring. Mine are buried under about 8 inches of snow right now with more on the way tomorrow 🙁

  9. Flowers, All we see here in Northeastern PA is snow and rain. I am anxiously awaiting the crocus. Always our first sign that spring is coming. We have the bushes that you are talking about. They just hang frozen. Have a wonderful spring day!!!!!!!

  10. OK… we’re in the middle of a blizzard here… roads are closed, and you lucky ducky are in spring flower heaven!!! I’m soooo jealous, but not jealous enough to move!!
