invitation-all-piled-up.jpgAlthough I didn’t post anything new of my own yesterday, I was stamping. I just had to finish all my invitations. I made some extra, like I said earlier,  to use for birthday cards. This is what kept my busy yesterday.

Last time I went to Office Depot I bought some paper fastener. For a day or two, this little book made with the fastener was in my head now.

People that know me know I am rather forgetful. I don’t wanna be, but that’s just how it is. I need pads, lists and books to keep me on track. Since I started the SCS Blog RAK group, I send out several cards and received some as well. Well…I am not really sure to whom I send all those cards to. Isn’t that horrible? So I decided I needed a new book to keep track.

I started out with a 4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Certainly Celery cardstock. I scored that at 4″, 4 3/4″ and 5″. I lined the inside with the chocolate chip ruled paper from the Notations Designer paper and rounded the corners. The top part I lined with the Cool Caribbean patterned paper from the same pack and rounded the corners as well.

Next I stamped the Memo block  from Office Accoutrement on white cardstock in chocolate chip classic ink, cut it down to 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and used the spiral punch on the top. I wrote Blog Friends with Typeset Upper Case Alphabet for the initials, the rest of the words with the Rough Edges Alpha set. I love that little Alpha!

I punched a celery tab with the new round tab punch and stamped Issue No. with chocolate chip craft ink. The number 1 is from the Classic Alphabet Numbers punched. It’s stamped in chocolate chip on whisper white and punched out with 1/2″ circle punch. I added some flowers with brads and some ribbon and the front was done.

For the inside I cut 3 3/8″ x 4 1/2″ pieces of white cardstock and scored them at 3/4″. I stamped the memo stamp in chocolate chip and the big flower in So Saffron. Here I will write down the names of my new blogging friends.

I had a great time making this book and really like how it came together! Have a wonderful Sunday! Here, the sky is blue, the sun is shining but we only have temperatures in the high fifties today. Needless to say I won’t be seen much outside. LOL

I have to make one of these, you have really got my juices flowing, I could have them for all sorts of things, friend’s birthdays, RAKs etc. You really are a creative genius!!!!!!

  11. Beate, Can’t say anything others haven’t, so a simple “I Love It” and “Awesome” will hopefully let you know how impressed I am. Told Jana this morning that her sister has a timeshare up in Destin so if I can just talk her into coming to FL, we can have a “Stamp Camp in the Panhandle”. Lakeland is on I4 right between Orlando to the east and Tampa to the west. Access to Disney or Busch Gardens so easy. Jana’s MoM

  12. Fabulous idea AND book, B — love it! You are so creative!

  13. This is perfect. I also have to keep track of who my RAK’s go to due to my crazy forgetfullness. I just a little book at Target to alter for that purpose. I’m sure yours is cuter that what I would come up with so maybe I’ll just case yours!
