Sharie, don’t you look!!!!

My sweet SAM (Service Account Manager) at Stampin’ Up! is expecting a baby boy in five weeks. I made her this little book to write down all the funny and sweet things that Alex will do later on. Or the pranks, or the booboos….I had one of those for Austin and Lucas and let me tell you, they filled it up.

One story I love is about Lucas, when he was about 2 or 2 1/2 years old. We were living in Germany at that time and it was still cold outside. Lucas was wearing some sweat pants and a long sleeve shirt. He came to the kitchen where I was cooking. He had his pulled up his pants legs over his knees and his shirt over his elbows….and he was COVERED IN CREAM. Thick cream. All over his hear, face, hands, legs…..He was smiling big time about his accomplishment. I will never forget it and have pictures to proove it.

Those are the kind of things that need to be written down in a book. If Alex will be anything like Lucas, he will fill that book in no time at all.

I cut two square medium weight coasters down to 3″ x 4″ rectangles and covered the front with Petals & Paisley Designer paper. I used the A from Letterpress alpha and stamped the rest of the words with the Typeset Alpha Lower case. The stars and circles are from the border stamp of Bundles of Joy.

The main image is layered on two giga (if that’s the biggest one) square scallop punchouts from Marvy Urchida. Asela Hopkins had done that before on her blog.

I used my Bind it All again and wouldn’t you know it…I messed up a tiny bit. It was still cute enough to use it. Or so I think. And this time it wasn’t really a BIA (Bind it All) fault as much as a stamp mess up.

When I was stamping the border on the pages, I didn’t pay attention and I stamped them on the top, instead of the bottom part.  DUH!
