Last week’s Limited Supply challenge was to make a Valentine’s card without using reds, hearts or flowers.

I had to buy Time for you from the upcoming Occasional Mini catalog! I just love the clock and the bench image in that set. As soon as I saw the clock, I was thinking that “You ring my bell” would be a nice sentiment for it.

So when this challenge came up I thought the clock would be a great Valentine’s card for my hubby.  The ring my bell part will have to wait for a bit and the card will be just a bit late.

This card was super quick with the WSC18 layout.

It’s still one of my favorite go to layouts for quick and fun cards.

I started with a 4 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock folded in half.

Next comes a 3″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock layered with a 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Tea Time Designer Paper (Occasional Mini).

The clock was stamped in Black Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock and colored with Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and Groovy Guava classic ink pads and Aqua painter.

I punched a hole with my Crop-a-Dile, tied Groovy Guava double stitched ribbon through it and mounted the main image with a black scallop circle over it.

The sentiment is from Time for You as well and was stamped with Black Stazon.

Last I added a double photo corner in Groovy Guava/Black on the bottom left and topped it with three silver brads.

I think even with ribbon and scallops the card can be used for a man. What do you think?

I wish you all a Happy Valentine’s Day! Have a wonderful time with your loved ones!

  4. Cute card…I usually don’t do a whole lot of ribbon/scallops for man-cards. But, I asked the hubby that same question out of curiousity awhile back and his response was “But, this {embellished cards} is what my wife does so I’m okay with it.” 🙂
