I had a chance to play with last week’s sketch challenge on SCS.  Since I didn’t have quite the right stamp for the long panel, I turned the sketch and got out my Holy Triptych set. I just love that angel.

I started out with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Riding Hood Red cardstock and folded it in half for my card base.

Next I stamped the Angel from Holy Triptych on Shimmery White cardstock in Brown Palette ink. I also stamped the frame in the same color.

I cut the frame out, layered it on Chocolate Chip cardstock and cut it out again.

I colored the angel with Aqua Painter and Classic inks (Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossoms and Baja Breeze). I cut the angel out and adhered it to the frame with dimensionals. An Antique Brass Mini Library Clip was attached to the top right side of the image and Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon was tied around it.

The vertical layer of designer Paper measures 3 1/4″ x  4″ and is from the Ski Slope Designer Paper pack. It was adhered to a slightly bigger ( 3 3/8″ x 4 1/4″) piece of Chocolate chip cardstock.  Under the left hand side I attached a Shimmery White scallop strip that was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch. I paper pierced the top and right hand side of the edges of the designer paper. Next two Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets were set on the left hand side of the paper and were topped with Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads.

The horizontal Designer Paper strip is also from the Ski Slope Designer Paper pack and measures 2 1/8″ x 3 1/4″. One long side of a  1 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock was scalloped with the scallop Edge punch and adhered to the top of the designer paper. Then Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon was tied around it. Next the layers were taped to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Chocolate chip cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Punches Three hostess set. It was stamped in Brown Palette ink on Shimmery White cardstock and punched out with the small oval punch. It was adhered to a scrap of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I free hand cut around it and attached it to the bottom right of the horizontal designer paper layers.

Last I added two Chocolate Chip tabs that were punched with the Word Window punch on the top left of the card. I offset them a little and added 1/4″ Baja Breeze circles and Vintage brads to top them off.
