Another Friday, another Friends with Flair Blog hop! For this sample I colored the Feel the Joy image with Stampin’ Up! Markers (Real Red, Bravo Burgundy and Old Olive), misted it and then stamped it on a 4 1/4″ square Natural Ivory card. I masked the outer edge of the card and sponged the inside with Antique Linen. I stamped the Vintage Ledger background (LOOOOVE it!) in the same color and then added the sentiment in Walnut Stain Distress ink.


The bottom corners of the card were rounded with a retired Stampin’ Up! corner rounder. A frame was cut with Label 1 Nestabilities out of Chocolate Chip cardstock, sponged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and adhered around the image. Split Pea Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the card front.

The inside of the card is so simple, I didn’t take a picture. I just stamped the flower image in Antique Linen on the left hand side of the inside.

I don’t have any water-based markers, but I used to do this same technique with water soluble crayon; I totally need to dig them out and give this technique another spin!
