This week on the Spellbinders blog it was all about Gift ideas. I had some 7Gypsies 6″ x 6″ Shadowboxes for quite a while and thought it would be great to alter one. I hope you have time to check out my post with step by step instructions HERE. I used a picture of my kids from 10 years ago. They were so cute when they were little.  Altering items is definitely out of my comfort zone. Let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles

  1. Hi Beate. Beautiful job
    God Bless 🙂

  2. Hello!

Great project! That was such a cute stage – when they still sat still and smiled for the camera! Three teenagers – enjoy this time! They grow up so fast! Wishing you a happy day!

    Hugs,

  3. Love this project — what an awesome idea! I think you did a great job… I was slightly disappointed to see that they don’t have the 6×6 shadowboxes anymore though.

    • Oh, wrong! I didn’t find the boxes on 7Gypsies site, but they are still on Simon Says Stamp… doh!

  8. What a beautiful way to display the children’s photo and remember their sweet smiles of 2002.

  9. Great project, Beate! I have some shadowboxes hanging around…I should use them on a project like this. I love your white poinsettia!

  10. What is it with teenagers that avoid the camera?!! I’m getting grief because I have no pictures of my boys and I keep telling everyone that all my pictures are either blurry from them turning away or with a hand in front of my camera lens!!

I LOVE how you used the glue pad in the embossing area to add glitter!! I’m filing that idea away to “borrow”!!
And, I also like that your flower is not the usual red…that too, I’m filing away!!

  11. Great project. I love the snowflake edges label. Left u a comment there.

  12. Lovely project. I think you should keep it if you love it, unless the person lives close and you get to see it often! Why not make another.

  13. I love the Christmas shadowbox you created! It is beautiful, I would have a hard time
    giving it away too!
