Today’s tutorial on Splitcoaststampers is for a Side Step card variation, the Circular Side Step card. For my sample I stamped the darling Ebony from The Greeting Farm in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock, once on pink paper from Echo Parks Summer Days collection. The shirt and head band were colored on the patterned paper, the rest on the white cardstock with Copic Markers (Hair: YG01, YG03, YG17   Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11   Shirt/Headband: RV25, RV29, RV69   Skirt: C3, C5, C7   Skull: W00, W1). The headband and shirt were cut out and adhered to the image stamped on cardstock, which was then cut out as well.

White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Splendid Circle die and blue patterned paper from Summer Days with the third largest  Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The patterned paper was sanded, then stitched to the Splendid Circle center. Ebony was adhered over the circles with dimensional adhesive.

The card base was cut and embossed out of white cardstock with the second largest Grand Circle Nestabilities die. Patterned paper strips from the Summer Days paper pack were adhered together, cut and embossed with that same circle die. The edges were sanded and then the paper was cut on the embossed edge. For the cuts on the right hand side I placed the paper over the card base and used a stylus to trace the cut lines. Next I cut 1/8″ along that traced line. The edges were stitched before the paper was adhered to the card front. Ribbon was tied around the edge of the first step and tied into a bow. A skull from the shirt was stamped again on white cardstock, cut out and adhered over the bow. The image was adhered over the big part of the card base with dimesional adhesive and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered under the bow.

The tag and postage image from Tea-rrific clear stamp image were stamped in black ink on Summer Days paper and cut out. They were adhered on top of each other with another skull image and taped the the back step of the card.

In the center two pieces of Summer Days paper were cut and embossed with the bigger heard from the new Folk Art die set. The edges were sanded. The hearts were adhered to the center step and topped with two of the bigger rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones pack.

It’s time for Kraftin’ Kimmie August Release Blog hop. For my card I used another Candy Girl. This image is called Fabby Flossy. She was stamped on Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut and embossed with the second largest of the Resplendent Rectangles die. It was colored with Copic Markers (Cotton Candy: BG10, BG11, BG13   Skin: E000, E00, E01 ,E11   Hair: Y32, E33, E37, E39   Dress/Roses: RV10, R81, R83, R85   Ground: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9) and  sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

A piece of Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee patterned paper was cut and embossed with the largest Resplendent Rectangle die. The embossed edges were sanded and then cut along the embossed line. It was adhered to the card front, white cardstock with the same die.

A sentiment from the set was stamped in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with an insert die from the Fancy Framed Tag One. It was sponged with Antique Linen before it was adhered to the upper right hand side of the image. Rhinestones from a Sleek Strip Silver Rhinestones pack finish off the card.

Today’s challenge for Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge is a sketch. All the Kraftin’ Kimmie Gang is showcasing a new set called Candy Girls. I started by stamping Coco Choloate in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with the largest Classic Rectangle LG Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers ( Hair: Y11, Y21, E31   Skin: E0000, E000, E01   Eye: B00, B02   Pink: RV00, RV10, R81, R83, R85   Chocolate: E35, E37, E59, E49   Ground: W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7). The edges of the image sponged with Antique Linen Distress ink and the outer edge dusted in glitter. The layer was adhered to a piece of Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest of the Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities.

Echo Park Graceful This & That patterned paper was cut and embossed with a Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded before it was stitched to a slightly bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock.  A  paper doily was adhered to the upper left corner and Aqua May Arts Ribbon was tied around the square. The image layer was adhered over the layer with dimensionals. All layers were adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die.

A sentiment from the set was stamped in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tag One die. the edges of the layers were sponged with Antique Linen before it was adhered over the lower right of the image. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and two rhinestones from the Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones finish off the card.

I created this card as a sample for Wednesday’s tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I thought the bouquet from Autumn Blossoms would work great for the Telescoping Image Technique.

The image was stamped twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock. The images were colored with Copic Markers (Y13, Y15, Y17, YR12, YR16, YR18, G20, G21, G24 ,G28, YG11, YG13, YG17, R24, R27, R39) and cut and embossed with Classic Oval LG dies. The edges of the larger ovals were sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress ink before the layers were adhered on top of each other with dimensional adhesive. The ovals were then adhered to Kraft cardstock that was hand cut into a slightly larger oval layer. All layers were adhered to white cardstock, cut and embossed with the Floral Oval Nestabilities die.

Pieces of patterned paper were cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Rectangle Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and stitched before Sheer ribbon was tied around the layer and through one of the Floral Oval openings of the frame.  The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread.

A sentiment from Autumn Blossom was stamped on white cardstock, cut and embossed with one of the insert dies from the Fancy Framed Tags One dies. The raised part was sponged with Antique Linen Distress ink.

The layers were adhered to a card base, cut out of white cardstock with the second smallest Grand Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl over the bow and a few single Rhinestones on the top right finish off my card.

Can you believe we are getting close to Halloween already? Crazy how fast time flies. Me….I am looking forward to next Friday when school starts again. Don’t tell my kids I said that. LOL. I am more creative when I have the house to myself. Today the Kraftin’ Kimmie gang is introducing the Halloween Lulu stamp set. You can find links to the blogs of the participants by clicking on the inlinkz link on the bottom.

For my sneak peek sample I stamped Frankenstein Lulu inTuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with the second largest Decorative Label Eight Nestabilities die die. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: YG01, YG03, YG17   Hair, Skirt, Sneakers: C3, C5, C7, C9, C10   Jacket, Socks: V04, V06, V09   Ground: W3, W4, W5, W7, W9). It was then masked. The die was placed back over it and cloud masks were added that had been cut with Spellbinders Whimsy die dies. The background was then sponged first with Black Soot, then with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Two pieces of Pink Paislee’s Phantom paper (it is still one of my favorite paper packs) were cut and embossed with the second largest Card Creator Matte A die. The edges were sanded before the layer was stitched to black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the largest Card Creator Matte B die.

May Arts ribbon was colored with Copic V09 Marker and tied around the patterned paper layers before everything was adhered to the card base, cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Scallop Rectangle die out of Basic Gray cardstock. The bow was topped with a rhinestones brad.

The sentiment is also from the new Halloween Lulu set. It was stamped on white cardstock, cut and embossed with an insert die from the Fancy Framed Tags Two dies. The sentiment layer was sponged just like the image layer background and adhered to the lower left of the image. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone swirl under the bow and  Fancy That! Border Bling on the top left corner finish off the card.

For my sample I thought I use the Gerber Daisies image again. I LOVE that image. It looks great if you use it partially or completely. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of white cardstock, that had been cut and embossed with the second largest of the Resplendent Rectangles dies. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, YR16, YG17, YG21, YG23, YG25, W1, W3).

The die was placed back over the layer, the Gerber Daisies were masked and Tumbled Glass Distress ink was sponged over the white spots. I added Goldrush Smooch Glitz over the center of each flower to add some sparkle!

The card base and card front were cut and embossed with the largest Marvelous Rectangle die. The embossed part of the card front was sponged with Tumbled Glass ink before the image layer was adhered with dimensional adhesives.

A sentiment from the Gerber Daisies image was stamped in the lower right of the image layer. Rhinestones in each corner finish off the card.

Or, click HERE to visit these files in the Flourishes store! On to today’s last stamp set to be unveiled! It’s one that pays homage to the beautiful blossoms of fall!

https://flourishes.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Autumn-Blossoms-Graphic-358x550.jpg

Part of The Blossoms Collection, this beautiful array of autumn blossoms illustrated by Marcella Hawley features a bouquet, corner stamps, and pieces to create your own borders or frames. Add in a trio of all occasion sentiments and you have the perfect set to create cards for every day correspondence. Set measures 4 by 6″ and is the perfect companion to sister sets Happily Ever After SS199 and Letters in Blossom SS198. If you like this set, you might also like our Summer Blossoms set as well featuring summer florals! The Flourishes design team has really gone all out showing off this beautiful set!

For my card I used two of the border stamps and paired them with a die cut frame. I stamped the images in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock, cut them out and colored them with Copic Markers (Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, G20, G21, G24, G27, YR12, YR16, YR18 R24, R27, R29).

I cut and embossed a frame out of white cardstock with the second largest Decorative Label One die as well as a regular Label One die. More white cardstock was cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tags One die. A sentiment from the Autumn Blossom set was stamped in it’s center with Tuxedo Black Ink. The embossed part of the tag was sponged with Antique Linen and the sprig image of that set was stamped in Antique Linen above and underneath the sentiment. The inner oval of the tag was paper pierced.

The tag was adhered over the frame and the corner images were adhered above the frame and the tag. A piece of patterned paper was cut and embossed with the same Label One die that had been used to create the frame. The edges of the paper were sanded.

Two more pieces of patterned paper were cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Square Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded and stitched before the layers were adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with the smallest Grand Scallop Square Nestabilities die. The patterned paper Label One die cut was adhered in the center of the card and the frame was adhered over it with dimensionals. Rhinestones under the sentiment and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl finish off the card.

Our design team has some hand-picked inspiration — just for YOU!

I was a bit of a last minute Nellie and made my card yesterday. I saw the gorgeous creations my team mates had already done and decided to use the image that had been used the least. I have to tell you, I LOVE all three bouquets. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock, cut and embossed with the 4th smallest of the Card Creator Matting A Basics dies. The image was colored with Copic Markers (V12, V14, V17, Y15, Y17, G20, G21, G24, G82, G85, G94, YG11, YG13, YG17, BG000, BG11, C1) and the edges were sponged with Antique Linen and  Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The image was adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the next bigger Matting Basic B die. Two pieces of white cardstock were cut and embossed with the Lace Doily Motif die. One end of each piece were cut off and the pieces were assembled for a rectangle background. The image layers were adhered ove the Lace Doily rectangle.

The edges of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks patterned paper were sanded and stitched. Sheer Satin Ribbon was tied through a hole in the image layer and around the the patterned paper before the layers were adhered to the card base. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread. Small Rhinestones on the Lacey Doily Rectangle and the sentiment finish off the card.

A sentiment from the new set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with an insert die from the Fancy Framed Tag Two dies. The embossed part was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped with the main image in the same ink. The oval was adhered to a tag, cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tags One die.

I am excited to be guest designing for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps this month. Today’s challenge is to create something with the Out of the Box technique. I LOVE that techinque and use it quite frequently.  Kerry Johnson is the hostess this week and the prize is the stamp set she is using today.

For my sample I stamped an image from the Sugar and Spice set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Skin:E000, E01, E11    Hair: Y11, Y13, E31    Dress/Bow (B000, B01, B02, B04)    Shoes: N3, N5, N7, N9    Socks/dress trim: N0, N1, N3   Balloon: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17   Ground: YG01, YG03, YG17, E31).

The image was masked, the oval die was placed back over the image and cloud masked cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Whimsy die were added. The image was then airbrushed with Copic Marker B01. The bottom of the clouds were colored with Copic Markers W00, W0, W1. The image was adhered to a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest of the Grand Decorative Oval Nestabilities dies.

Both a piece of Pebbles patterned paper as well as a piece of Solar White cardstock were cut and embossed with the largest Label Twenty-Eight die. The edges of the patterned paper were sanded, then trimmed down to the embossed edge. It was then stitched to the white cardstock label. A hole was punched into the image layers and May Arts ribbon was threaded through it and tied around the label layers. The oval layers were adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

A white cardstock base was cut and embossed with the same Label Twenty-Eight Nestabilities die and the card front was adhered to it. A sentiment from Sugar and Spice was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with one of the insert dies from the new Fancy Framed Tags 2 die set. The embossed part of the oval was airbrushed with Copic Marker B01.  Parts of a  Fancy That! Border Bling and Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones finish off the card.

I hope you have time to participate in the challenge! CheckHave a wonderful weekend!
