I have a hard time with the sentiment circle in the center. So I moved it just a little bit off to the side. I used a Hero Arts image Amy send me in a RAK.

Amy had stamped her birds in a soft kind of brown, so I kept the soft tones going. I colored the birds with Ciao Copic Markers from selection B and C.  The image looked a bit too bare. That’s why I added paper piercing in two corners. I repeated the paper piercing on the Close to Cocoa strip that holds the ribbon and saying.

The saying is from a Stampin’ Up! set called Tiny Talk. I stamped it on Vanilla Cardstock, punched it out with 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered it on a 1 3/8″ Close to Cocoa Circle. The Card base is Close to Cocoa as well. The patterned paper is from the big Cosco My Mind’s Eye paper pack.

Ribbon and Vintage Prima Flowers from Starlitstudio.

Cambria Turnbow simply rocks! That’s all there is to it. Look what she send me:

She wrote a great tutorial on how to make those medaillons with the  square step corner punch. If you haven’t seen it, check it out over HERE. Thanks so much, Cami. You are wonderful!

Here is the Jacob’s Ladder that matches the Bundle of Joy card yesterday.

I covered my medium sized coasters with My Mind’s Eye paper and sanded the edges.  I then added a 3 1/2″ square of chocolate chip cardstock on each coaster. I used white organdy ribbon to hold the ladder together. I stamped the Bear from Bundle of Joy in brown palette ink on shimmery white cardstock and colored it with Close to Cocoa and Bordering Blue classic ink and aqua painter.

Thank you all so much for participating in the challenge. I had a great time checking out all your wonderful cards and browsing a few new blogs.

Sheri Thomas, my newest downline member, send me this fresh and fun card!

I love the card, Sheri! Thanks a million!

I knew I had to participate in today’s challenge. I love Kirsten’s work. If you haven’t checked out her blog Confessions of a Naptime Stamper, run over there and drool over Kirsten’s amazing work. While looking through Kirsten’s gallery on SCS, I was drawn to this card. I picked it’s layout for my card case.

I started with a Chocolate Chip card base, no big surprise there. LOL I can’t help myself!!! I love Chocolate Chip. Next I got out some My Mind’s Eye paper from the big Costco pack. I made two baby boy Jacob’s ladders with the dotted paper and wanted to make a matching card. Kirsten’s layout was perfect of it.

I stamped the Teddy bear from Bundle of Joy on shimmery white cardstock with Brown Palette ink. I colored the bear in with Close to Cocoa classic ink and aqua painter. I added a shadow with Bordering Blue ink. I layered the shimmery white on Bordering blue and then on Chocolate chip cardstock. The Wecome is a stamp from the Warm Words stamp set. It’s  stamped with Brown Palette ink.

The sweetheart is stamped also with brown Palette ink on shimmery white. The heart is colored with Bordering blue and aqua painter. I punched the saying out with the 1″ circle punch from Uchida. I then cut around it with my scallop scissors.

The photo corner is just a 1 1/4″ square cut in half diagonally, and then one of the triangles cut in half again. I added vintage brads on the inner corners.

To finish the card off I added a doodled border with chocolate chip Marker on the photo corner and the white strip. Then I added a bordering blue stripe next to it with the aqua painter.

I will post the matching Jacob’s Ladder tomorrow.

You know what we do at the weekends…..we go to the beach! Today we had red flags flying. That means strong currents….AND big waves. It was perfect for a little boogy boarding. We had a blast. I took my camera again and Rick took some shots of me this time.

When I first got the stamp set “Stampin’ Fun for everyone” I cracked up about the saying I used in this card. I wish that set wasn’t retiring. I might have to keep it after playing with it. It’s fun and it makes great cards for fellow stampers.
