I had to use my Baroque Motifs stamps one more time. This is the last post with new stamps for a while. I will get to play more once I am back from Germany. But don’t worry. I have a post lined up for every day that I am gone.

I started out with last weeks sketch from the blog: Sketch This.

Since the card sketch didn’t look like a regular size card, I made the card base 4 1/4″ x 10″ and folded it in half. Next I cut a 4″ x 4 3/4″ piece of the gorgeous new designer paper called Brocade Background and frayed the edges with the cutting tool kit from Stampin’ Up!

I stamped the edges of the paper with – you guessed it – the outline Argyle stamp from All in a Row. I can’t help myself. I am totally addicted to this stamp. If I don’t stamp my card with it, it looks nakked somehow. I really like how the frayed paper looks with that stamp. Almost like stitched frayed fabric.

Since I don’t have Purlely Pomegranate Print paper yet, I used the Rose Red paper from the POP pack and sponged it with Purely Pomegranate. Under it is a small layer of a patterned paper from the Brocade Background paper.

The flower is a triple flower. The first layer is the big non flower like image from Baroque Motifs. I stamped it in River Rock on Shimmery white cardstock. Next is the large flower in Purely Pomegranate followed by the small flower in Chocolate chip. The center is a brad from the vintage brad collection. Last I stamped cherish in chocolate chip on the horizontal strip.
