I created this card back in February for a Technique Challenge. I remember making this box card a long time ago. The page that I got the instructions from became inactive and I hadn’t written them down. I liked it so much, I created a tutorial for the resource section for it.

I started out stamping Whiff of Joy’s Strawberry Girl in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock.  The image was cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Flowers: Y13, Y15, Y17 C2,  Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17, Egg: 1/5 YR31 + 4/5 Blending solution, YR31, Skin: YR000, YR00, YR01, YR02, Hair: E08, E18, E19, Shirts: R20, R21, R22, background: BG0000, BG10).

A piece of Canyon Brown cardstock cut and embossed with Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The image was adhered to the scalloped oval and the edges were paper pierced.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy’s Magical Wishes. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders tag die. It was adhered to the right hand side of the image and topped with three Zva Creative Flowers.

The card box base was created out of a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of October Afternoon Fly A Kite paper. Two strips of white cardstock were cut with the Faux Crochet Die-namics Border die. The strips were adhered under the side flaps of the box.

A 2″ wide strip of Fly A Kite October Afternoon paper was used to create the Belly Band. A doily was adhered to it’s front before the image layers were adhered to dimensionals.

A 3 7/8″ white square was decorated with a slim strip of matching paper to finish of the box card.

I used Sweet Ladybug Nora image for a One Sheet Box that I created for a class at my LSS back in March. The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock . It was colored with Copic Markers and cut out.

The box base was created out of Echo Park Life is Good paper. Two strips of white paper were cut with Faux Crochet Die-namics border. The pieces were adhered to the top of the front and back of the bag. It was tied shut with brown Organdy Ribbon. Gold Curling Ribbon was tied around the bow and topped with a Pink Rhinestone brad from Recollections.

The sentiment is also from C. C. Designs and it was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with the retired Five Tag die from Spellbinders. The tag was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG11.

I created this card for last weekend’s VSN challenge called ARRRR. The challenge was to create a card with at least three things on there starting with an R. That made me think of the shoe house image from Taylored Expressions Cozy Cottages. It has a Roof! I used Red, round shapes, Rhinestones, Ribbon and the word Road in the sentiment.

I started the card by stamping the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Shoe: R22, R24, R27, R29, N0, N1, N3, N5, N7   Roof: E23, E25, E27, E29   Grass YG01, YG03, YG17).

Next I placed the circle die back over my image, added a few clouds cut with the Cloud Die-namic Die and airbrushed the sky with Copic Marker B02. The image was layered on a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the next larger Circle Nestabilities die and the edge was paper pierced. The layers were then adhered to a piece of white cardstock that had been cut with the largest of the Eyelet Circle Nestabilities dies.

A 3 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Pebbles Happy Go Lucky patterned paper was adhered to a 4″ x 5″ piece from the same paper collection. The bottom corners were rounded before both layers were stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of black cardstock. May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around the strip before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock, folded in half.

A Recollection Rhinestone swirl was cut apart and cut and adhered to the upper right and the lower left hand corner of the card before the image was adhered over it with dimensionals. The sentiment is also from Crazy Cottages. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah white cardstock and cut and embossed with a small Circle Nestabilities die. The inner part was colored with Copic Markers B0000 and Booo,

Today’s tutorial on Splitcoast is for the Side Step card. It’s a variation of the Stair Step fold card.

My card base was created out of Canyon Brown Neenah cardstock. The grass was cut with the Grass Die-namic die out of Pebbles patterned paper.  The rain pattern paper is from Echo Park’s Springtime patterned paper.

The images are all from Flourishes new set April Showers. The images were stamped on Solar White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers (Sun: Y11, Y13, Y15    Cloud: N1, B0000, Bo00    Bucket: N0, N1, N3, N4, N5     Tulips: YR12, YR15, Y09, Y21, Y23, YR12, YG01, YG03, YG17    Umbrella: YG00, YG01, YG03, R08, R29, E23, E25, YR12, YR15, Y11, Y13, Y15, B000).

The boots were stamped on Echo Park Playground paper, colored with Copic Markers (YR00, YR12, YR15, Rim: YR09, R08, R29).

I created this card back in March for a Way to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast. The challenge was to use Felt on your project.

I started by cutting two pieces of white felt with the Rolled Roses Die-namics die. A Daisy and leaves were cut out of yellow and green felt with the Upsy Daisy Die-namics dies. For the sentiment panel I cut a piece of Cork with the biggest of the Layered label Die-namics die. With the smallest of those label dies a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut. That smaller label was stamped with a sentiment from the Framed Greetings stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Small light green Hero Arts Pearls were adhered underneath the sentiment.

The card base is a 4″ x 12″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. The bottom corners were rounded before a 1/4″ smaller piece of Echo Park Springtime paper was stitched to it. After the label and flowers were adhered to the card base, a white Pearl swirl was adhered above the sentiment panel to finish off the card.

Today’s Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge is a fun one, a banner over a big rectangle.

How fun is that? For my card I started by cutting banner pieces with MFT’s Banner Day Die die out of Hazel Stella & Rose My Mind’s Eye paper. The small strip on top was cut out of textured Basic Black cardstock. Before that piece was adhered to the triangle pieces, part of the border stamp from Victorian Frippery was stamped over it with Jet Black Archival Ink. Small holes were pierced at each end and the banner pieces were strung together with Fine Natural Burlap String.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. The card front was embossed with Brocade Embossing folder and sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.

A 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Hazel paper was embossed with the same embossing folder and stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of black cardstock. The layers were adhered to the card base and the banner was adhered over the upper part of the rectangle.

More Hazel Paper was cut and embossed with a Fancy Tag die and stamped with a frame and sentiment from the Fancy Phrases set.  It was adhered over a doily that had been cut smaller and sponged with Frayed Burlap ink. The layers were adhered to the lower right edge of the rectangle layer. Latte Kaisercraft Pearls were added in each corner.

A piece of dyed Seam binding I had left over from another project was rolled into a flower, topped with a Black Kaisercraft Pearl and adhered next to the image. A swirl cut out of textured black cardstock with a Sizzix die and a couple of leave cut with MFT’s Upsy Daisy Die-namics die were added to the left hand side of the sentiment panel to complete the card.

This was a fun sketch to play with. I hope you have time to try it out! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and smiles

As soon as I saw this darling image for the first time, I ran to the MFT store and ordered it right away. How cute can it get?

When  Jenn and decided to  cyber stamp yesterday, I knew it was the perfect time to get this set out. Okay..the brown isn’t quite orange….but it was an inspiration challenge. I like to take challenges as starting points to get me going and then…who knows where the card ends up. LOL

I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers (Bee costume: Y13, Y15, Y17, E08, E07, E19,    Hair: N5, N7, N9,    Skin: E000, E01, E11,    sky: B0000, B000,    Wings: BG10, BG11). The image was cut out with a Classic Rectangle Nestabilities die. MME Stella & Rose Gertie Paper was cut with MFT’s Grass Die-namics die and adhered to the bottom of the rectangle. Stardust Stickles Glitter was added to the wings of the image.

Since I was using a My Favorite Things image I thought I would use the card sketch from their weekly sketch challenge for my card. I was struggling with it for a bit until a way to make the layers look right for me.

For the layers I used patterned paper from MME Stella & Rose Gertie and Mabel paper pack. The bottom layers along with some white Melissa Frances Ribbon were stitched to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 10″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, folded in half. The bottom corners were corner rounded.

The sentiment is from MFT’s Peek A Boo set. It was stamped on a piece of Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers (Y00, Y11, Y13). Recollection flowers (with some added Stardust Stickles) and Recollection Rhinestone swirls finish off the card front.

We might be cyber stamping some more tonight. Check in on facebook and hang out with us. Hugs and smiles

Let’s light the candles and strike up the music, the owner of Flourishes – Jan Marie Caruso – is celebrating a birthday and we’re helping her by getting the party started! Why not leave some love on the Flourishes blog HERE and while you are there, start to hop on through the Flourishes team members who are honoring her special day! Happy Birthday Jan Marie! Or hop on over to her blog directly and post your well wishes there.

For my birthday card I chose the brand new From the Desk Of Flourishes stamp set. I couldn’t wait to get this set and ordered it as soon as we could. It’s just soooo pretty and the image is so much fun to color.

I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut and embossed with the largest Classic Square Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Flower petals: YR21, YR12, E25, Flower center: E25, E29, Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17, Flower Pot: YR12, YR14, E25, E29, Letters: E0000, E30, E31, Pen: E21, E25, E29, C1, C3, C5, Ground: T0, T1, T3, Background: B0000, B000, B91, Bookmark: B91, B93, B95). The image was then adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Scallop Classic Square Nestabilities die and the edges were paper pierced.

A 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Echo Park For the Record patterned paper was stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock.  The layers were adhered to the card base, a 5″ x 12″ piece of Core’dinations cardstock folded in half.

Two 3″ long strips of Solar White cardstock were cut with Faux Crochet Die-namics die and adhered to a 2 1/4″ x 3″ strip of a different piece of For the Record paper pack. May Arts Brown Gingham ribbon was tied around it, before it was adhered to the bottom center of the card front. A bow was tied out of the same ribbon with the help of Bow-Easy, topped with a brad bought at my LSS and adhered over the ribbon strip.

The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines . It was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the medium die from the Tag Trio set. The tag was tied to the bow with waxed Linen. Bronze Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the card.

For today’s Tutorial from the Archives in the weekly inkling I picked Jenn‘s darling 2, 5, 7, 10 box. For my sample for the video, I chose JustRite Stampers new Birdhouse set. I love birdhouses and these are a lot of fun to color.

I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed it with Classic Circle Nestabilities and colored it with Copic Markers ( House: B32, B34, N4, Y43, Y35, Y38, YR14,    Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17,    Flowers: R02, R05, R08,   Flower Center: YR14, E09, E29,    Dragonfly: Y11, YG03,   Background shading: W00, W1, self mixed marker 1/5th YR31, 4/5th Blending solution).

The image was adhered to a bigger piece of Basic Black cardstock, cut and embossed with scallop circle Nestabilities. The edges of the image layer were paper pierced.

For the box base I chose a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock. The flap was decorated with a 3″ long strip of white cardstock cut with the Faux Crochet Die-namics Border die. The box is held close with May Arts Gingham ribbon.

A 2″ x 3″ strip of Echo park “For the Record” paper was adhered to the box front before the image layers were taped down with dimensionals. Silver Recollection pearls finish off the box front.

The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers new Cling stamp set called Fancy Tags. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut with JustRite’s new Spellbinders dies called Nested Sentiment dies.

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge involves a list. We are to use

    • 3 Colors
    • Two different Patterned Papers
    • One piece of Ribbon
    • One Button

For my sample I used the soon to be released Judy stamp. I stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers (Shirt: RV21, RV23, RV34,  Shorts: B32, B34, B37, Hair: C3, C5, C8, Skin: E000, E01, E11, Background: Bo000).

The cardstock was cut down to 2 13/16″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Long Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities. The edges of the image layer were paper pierced.

A 4″ long piece of white cardstock was cut with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics die and adhered under a 2″ x 4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink Paper. Both layers were adhered to 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Tickled Pink paper which was stitched to a 3/16″ piece of black cardstock.

White May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around the horizontal layers and topped with a Cosmo Cricket Button. The button tied in with Iridescent May Arts Curling ribbon. The same ribbon holds a little tag with a sentiment that comes with the image.

The tag was cut and embossed with the largest of Spellbinders Tag Trio out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The sentiment was stamped on it with dimensionals. The embossed part of the tag was colored with Copic B0000.
