My post today on Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog is all about how I create the clouds behind my images.  I hope you have time to check it out.

For my image I used the darling new Unity Image (created by Phyllis Harris) called Every Breath. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was colored with  Copic Markers (Dress; YR04, R24, R29, R39 – same colors I used for last weeks poppies   Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11    Hair: Y21, Y23, E33    Sand: E31, E33).

I hope you have time to check it out. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Our design team has some hand-picked inspiration — just for YOU!

I was a bit of a last minute Nellie and made my card yesterday. I saw the gorgeous creations my team mates had already done and decided to use the image that had been used the least. I have to tell you, I LOVE all three bouquets. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock, cut and embossed with the 4th smallest of the Card Creator Matting A Basics dies. The image was colored with Copic Markers (V12, V14, V17, Y15, Y17, G20, G21, G24, G82, G85, G94, YG11, YG13, YG17, BG000, BG11, C1) and the edges were sponged with Antique Linen and  Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The image was adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut and embossed with the next bigger Matting Basic B die. Two pieces of white cardstock were cut and embossed with the Lace Doily Motif die. One end of each piece were cut off and the pieces were assembled for a rectangle background. The image layers were adhered ove the Lace Doily rectangle.

The edges of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks patterned paper were sanded and stitched. Sheer Satin Ribbon was tied through a hole in the image layer and around the the patterned paper before the layers were adhered to the card base. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread. Small Rhinestones on the Lacey Doily Rectangle and the sentiment finish off the card.

A sentiment from the new set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with an insert die from the Fancy Framed Tag Two dies. The embossed part was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped with the main image in the same ink. The oval was adhered to a tag, cut and embossed with a Fancy Framed Tags One die.

For my sample today I chose the gorgeous new Li’l Montana image. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock,. It was cut and embossed with the second largest Label Eight die. It was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E50, E51, E53   Hair: C3, C5, C7, C9   Shirt: BG10, BG11, BG34   Pants/Dog: C00, C1, C3   Flowers and leaves: Y15, Y!7, Y38, G21, G24, G28   Basket: E31, E35, E37    Ground: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7).

The image was was masked. Additional mask were cut with Spellbinders Whimsy dies and adhered over the label. The image was  airbrushed and the clouds were colored with Copic Markers(W00, W0, W1).  The edges of the image were stitched before it was adhered to white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Decorative Label Eight Nestabilities die (I can’t stop using it!). That layer was adhered to a 4 1/8″ x 11″ piece of light blue cardstock, that had been folded in half.

Part of a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Design’s new A Touch of Furniture was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the second smallest of the Standard Circle SM Nestabilities dies. It was adhered to the upper left hand side of the image layers. Three Rhinestones from the Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones under the sentiment finish off the card.

Did you see that Flourishes has all their Christmas sets on  25% off right now until the end of the month? Because of that the Timeless Tuesday team showed off Christmas cards on Tuesday and the design team is showing off more Christmas projects today.

Of course I had to combine the gorgeous Flourishes stamps with newly released Spellbinders dies.

I love the Holiday Tree die cut set. I used the tree die to cut and emboss white cardstock.  Brown rhinestones were randomly added. Patterned paper was cut and embossed with the second Label Eight Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded before it was adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with the largest Decorative Label Eight die.

A sentiment from Petals & Peace was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with an insert die from Fancy Framed Tags One. It was adhered to the lower right of the tree.

Check out what my fellow team members have created today:

Okay….I promise this is the last post that leads you somewhere else for a while. I have another post on the Spellbinders blog today. I actually showcase four different new die sets (Homespun, Label 28, Vintage Lace Motifs and Fancy Framed Tags one). The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs Fanciful Tags.

I hope you have time to hop on over and check out the entire post. I will be back with a full card image tomorrow. 🙂

It’s my turn to share a card on the Spellbinders blog created with dies from the upcoming summer release. I LOVE the new dies coming out and used two different new die packs. You can find the entire card here.

Yesterday a new Crafty Friends Challenge was posted. Heather is the hostess for this challenge and her challenge for us is to create anything BUT a card. I decided to create a tag with one of the new Pagemaps dies from the Tags & Flags die pack.

The card base was created by cutting and embossing a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with one of the tag die from the Pagemaps die pack. A piece of Bazill Basics Paper Vintage Marketplace patterned paper was cut with the same die. The edges were sanded and then it was cut down on the embossed edge. The paper was adhered to the tag base.

An insert from Classic Decorative Insert 6 and a cutting edge from Classic Edge One were used to cut and embossed a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was adhered under a 3/8″ wide strip of another pattern from the Vintage Marketplace paper. The strip was adhered to the tag and the edges were stitched. Seam binding was tied around the upper edge of the horizontal strip.

More Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the dress from die from Sewing Elements and the rectangle tag die from Home Sweet Home . Both pieces were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The dress form was adhered to the left hand side of the tag. The tag was stamped with a sentiment from The Craft’s Meow’s Sew Lovely stamp set in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. The tag was tied on to the bow with embroidery thread and a button. Rhinestones from Silver Baby Bling Rhinestones and a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Monday.
