Last week I had the chance to make a sample for the TCP Tuesday Challenge. Since I don’t have any The Cat’s Pajama I used My Favorite Things images. I had originally tried to make this card work for last week’s Color challenge on SCS, but it didn’t quite look right with a Soft Suede card base.

So I cut the card base with the biggest Scallop Circle Nestabilities Die out of Chocolate Chip cardstock. A circle of October Afternoon Fly A Kit paper was stitched to a slightly larger White cardstock circle. The horizontal strip is from the same paper pack and measures 1 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. A triple stitch was added on the bottom of the layer and two SEI buttons were attached to the left hand side with white embroidery floss.

The image is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence set Better Get Better. It was stamped in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, colored with Copic Markers (E11, E27, E29, E43, E44, E50, E53) and cut out. It was layered on a Square cardstock layer that had been cut with Square Nestabilities. The layer was sponged with Bundled Sage Distress Ink and then layered first on a slighty bigger Chocolate Chip layer, then on a Scallop Soft Suede cardstock square.

The inside of the card is pretty simply. Just another white layer with a strip of patterned paper matching the one in the front.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles
