Today is the third Whimsy Stamps New Release Sneak Peek day. All images showcased today are designed by Meljen’s Designs. I created this card for yesterday’s Featured Stamper challenge. We got to case Bridget Finlay! I picked this card of hers to case. The image I used is called Rainy Day Duckling. The image was stamped three times in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, one time on Neenah Solar White cardstock and twice on MME Stella & Rose Mabel Patterned paper.
The image on Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. Grass and the umbrella handle were colored with Copic Markers (Grass: YG23, YG25, YG17, Handle: E31, E33, E37) and the sky was sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The images on the patterned paper were cut out and shaded with Copic Markers (Duck body: YR12, YR21, YR15, Bill/Feet: YR16, YR18, R08, Umbrella top: BG10, BG11). The images were cut out and adhered over the White card base. The circle was adhered to a piece of that had been cut and embossed with a Scallop Circle Nestabilities die and the edges were Canyon Brown cardstock paper pierced.
My card base is a 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Solar White cardstock folded in half. All four corners were rounded before a 4 1/2″ piece of Stella Rose paper was stitched to it. Lemondrop Twine was wrapped around the card base four times and tied along with the sentiment tag into a bow. The image was adhered over the twine with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the new set Spring Letter Seals. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with the one of the Tag Trio dies.
Three October Afternoon buttons on the top left finish off the card. Make sure to check out what the other girls have created with Meljen’s images.

Oh so precious Beate, I had to look a couple of times, because the paper on the duckling almost looks like copics then stamped with a background stamp!
